Oxford House

Well Oxford house is my new favorite place to stay in Sydney. With a warm relaxed reception on arrival and beautifully appointed rooms we had a wonderful time. The private courtyard and pool is lovely even in winter. The soundproofing is excellent and very comfortable beds. We will definitely stay again. Thanks Susan

While Oxford House has a cool vibe and a good location, it sadly disappointed on so many other important points. The room was very small with nowhere to unpack your clothes etc if staying more than a couple of days. The room was also very tired. Some cool furnishings but the moldy popcorn ceiling that had clearly had a leak previously was off putting. The bathroom is super tiny and the shower leaks causing the door jam to rot. You can't open the shower door and keep the bath mat in place, and the door doesn't seal so water ends up everywhere. The fan in the bathroom was very rattly. I paid extra for an exterior room, which was a mistake as the soundproofing isn't great so you get all the commuting noise early in the morning (my colleague was in an interior room and said the music from the bar/pool area on Sunday night was really loud). The aircon/heating wouldn't stay on and the remote for the tv didn't work. The lighting is also very poor, not great for putting make-up on as there is no where to put stuff in the bathroom and the lighting in the room is very dim. Suggestion - please include hot chocolate sachets, not everyone drinks tea or coffee.

With a warm welcome at reception on arrival and well presented rooms we had a wonderful stay. Lovely bristo next door and very comfortable beds. We will be back. Walking distance to St Vincent Hospital. Regards Greg

Exceptional service from Dan at Reception, sincere warmth & friendliness at Check In and Check Out. So incredibly grateful for a special request being granted, which made the world of difference to my entire weekend! The pool bar's music (live DJ) was fun to bop to in my room as I got ready for a Wedding, but the room was whisper quiet when I returned at midnight. Secure access to hallways was comforting. Comfy bed & pillows, with an easy-to-adjust thermostat on the wall. The complimentary hand & body lotion was divine, the towels were soft & fluffy, and the room was impeccably clean. The location on Oxford Street is brilliant, and there's a little laneway around the corner for easy Uber pickups & dropoffs. I'd love to come & stay again! Thanks for having me 🌸

A clean, stylish, no fuss hotel that has efficient and delightful team, super comfy beds, a fab winter sunny breakfast room with delicious food and located right on Oxford St. Plus a fully operational elevator! Couldn't fault this great, centrally located hotel, thank you Oxford House, I've booked in again in 2 weeks based on this experience!

I've stayed here 3–4 times over the past few years. The staff are always super friendly, and the rooms are clean and modern. The LA style pool area and bar is absolutely stunning. You really can’t go wrong! Highly recommend.
