Oy Bar - Wimbledon

The cafe is well organised, clean modern and comfortable. Staff were friendly too. But the pricing for sure seems a bit off, and the menu is quite limited. Although tasty this bacon on toast at approx £9 was very small and you could see was quite simple. I hope they manage to correct this.

Great wine flight options at Oy Bar - had some lovely wines and small plates with a friend. Excited to go back soon! Highly recommend the escargot and wine snack set, which is a perfect selection of bites, to go with your flight.

Lovely spot in Wimbledon! The oysters were fresh and delicious, I’d recommend dishes like the savoury crepe, tuna toastie and sashimi grade salmon too. Excellent service and a lovely vibe, thoroughly recommend!

Lovely spot for breakfast right by Wimbledon station! The pancakes were absolutely delicious, and the coffee was just what I needed to start the day. The service was warm, friendly, and super efficient. You can really feel the care in both the food and the atmosphere. A hidden gem — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had one of the most amazing meals here and I loved it so much! The oysters are so fresh and I loved the main dish which was the duck! Could not recommend it enough!

Overall: Food: Wine bar/small plates This is an odd place. A limited selection of poor value wines by the glass including wine flights from £12 to £20 for three small unmeasured (they pour free hand) 75ml glasses which are absolutely pointless. The Champagne served was flat and they even agreed it was. Why not check before you serve? The owners clearly have a very, very limited knowledge of wine and certainly no idea what truly premium wines are nor hospitality and definitely not food! The reality is it’s an over priced mish mash of not particularly good wines sold at inflated prices and served with small plates of not very well cooked or flavourful food served by not particular knowledgable or friendly staff. Will it last? 100% it won’t in it’s current guise and from my knowledge of restaurants I’d put money on it. Despite the pretty white room there is just so much wrong here but with an open mind and clearer long term vision it’s really possible for this place to do well. What I liked: • The decor • The look of the menu but not the content What I didn’t like: • Over priced • Ridiculously small glasses of wine on the ‘flights’ • Food lacked flavour or substance • Indifferent and unhelpful service • Real lack of wine knowledge from the server Do I recommend going? Absolutely loved it! Just have to say this place is a fab addition to Wimbledon. Came for the first time and it was packed. Thankfully we had booked a table and sat at the window and loved it. The wine is so reasonably priced. The food was amazing! We got mussels and the oyster and prawn platter. Was perfect amount of food and two bottles of wine for under £100. The service was amazing as well. Already planning on our next visit and this will definitely be our monthly date night. If you’re an oyster fan then you will not be disappointed. They were sooooo good. The mussels sauce I could have drank. Can’t wait to try new dishes next time.

Just came in for a coffee, very pleasant environment to be in, from the welcoming staff to the furniture and chilled out music. Yet to try the food as we were in a rush but the menu looks very reasonably priced with some interesting dishes I look forward to trying. This is a place you can come to for a morning coffee or brekky/lunch or for dinner or for an evening drink. They were children here as well for anybody wondering if it’s child friendly, all the children were quiet and not running around which is another plus because it’s annoying otherwise. They’re definitely seems to be a chilled out and respectable vibe to all the people in here, Oy bar attracts pleasant people, well done we’ll be back to spend more money!
