OYO 44084 Ombak Inn Chalet

If you feel like getting scammed, go ahead and book this chalet! I rejected other chalets because the photos of this one looked nice and suitable, but the reality was completely the opposite. The room I got was so horrible and in terrible condition—walls were patchy and unpainted, windows were broken and patched with plywood, the ceiling was leaking, and so much more. It looked nothing like the photos! When I asked the reception if this was really the room I booked, because it didn’t match the photos, they couldn’t answer and asked an older woman (probably the owner) to respond to me. She answered rudely and arrogantly, even though I was asking nicely. She said the photos were uploaded by Agoda for marketing purposes. What? I’m not stupid; if you’re going to lie like that, at least be smarter. I run an e-commerce business too, and no one else uploads those details except the property owner themselves. When I said I’d report to Agoda, she arrogantly replied, “Go ahead and report.” Unbelievable attitude! She doesn’t know who she’s dealing with. Maybe this time, she’s met her match. I will make this go viral!

Welcoming staff . Service is superb. Maybe can improve the room. The bed need to change since look like not on point bed shape. The wall have some hand mark stain.

Friendly staff, providing very good welcoming service. The location are great, very close to the beach (1 min walking) and close to almost everything.. lots of eateries place nearby. Offer a simple continental breakfast buffet of RM10, which is really cheap. The chalet and rooms were ok, decent.. value for money.

The location is good, but I’m beginning to learn that any OYO hotel is not very clean and not really as advertised

Location are nice, should provide kettle, tv channel only one, owner always change channel, no wifi in room

The room is old, bedsheets is not a good fit cos it keep coming out. Got kettle but no spoon or cup to make hot drink. No toilet rolls. The mattress are old but overall okay for the price cos u get what u pay. The owner is very kind and nice lady

Our main issue is: The first day we arrived the owner/manager told us that the deluxe room we booked has electrical issue so we have to downgrade to double room(she explained the cost isn't much of a difference, we were tired so we agreed). But the room(4) was so bad, below standard. Tiny room, not clean. The bathroom was so small. At night cockroaches were wandering. Under the chalet floors we could see so much garbage thrown. Next morning, the sink which is inside the room(!) Started leaking and made the floors wet. Next day, the lady did give us deluxe room, which was better compared to double. But we paid and booked in advanced for something we didn't get to enjoy half our trip was ruined. No refund either. And it really did seem like they just gave the room to someone else. On a positive note, the hotel exterior is nice with all the plants. There's a flower plant that gives lovely scent at night. They have a external shower room to wash off sand from the beach. It is close to two beaches and all food stalls are nearby.

The location and services is very good, but the rooms can be better, with some more facilities such as a wardrobe, as we had no place to put our clothes than on a wall rack. Also, to add that the rooms are made of wood and are quite creaky, beds are a bit hard as well and not as comfy. It is very close to the beach, and has access to a lot of roadside stalls. Which makes finding food/accessories very easy.
