OYO 90249 Istana Griya 2 Hotel

Room was not too big because of their big bed but it was clean. Bathroom without ammenities and also clean. They have one menu of breakfast on every single day, and they will take it to our room, but I didn't really like the taste, and sometime it's already cold. They have parking lot, enough for 2-4 cars only. We can make our own coffee or tea by ourself downstair close to their kitchen anytime we want. The best thing was the location, close to the main road (Slamet Riyadi road) and to many major tourist destination (such as Mangkunegaran Palace, PGS market, Galabo night food hawker). And also I love their friendly staffs. They are really helpful, fast check in and out, they also arrange a car hire for the tour with reasonable price, we can storage our luggage too if we still have time before and after check in or check out. Not a fancy hotel but it's ok.

Stayed here two nights. It's in a great location. It was quite so we slept well. Free breakfast, which I think was purchased from a local stall then delivered to us. Was delicious. Staff really helpful and chatty, ||Breakfast delivered to your room, you eat on a little table outside your room, we didn't mind this but can see some people wishing for a proper table.||Aircon isn't super powerful, but it does cool your room down eventually, just don't expect instant results. ||Beds are massive, pillows are tiny but I asked for another pillow and they happily gave me a second. ||They offer free laundry, or you can pay for someone else to do it (which is the option we took as we're lazy)||Free tea, coffee and water - it is Jasmin tea though. ||Overall we were super pleased we found this hotel.

Booked a room with airy app and it's definitely worth the price. The staff is friendly and helpful. Facilities in the room worked well (except it's kind of hard to adjust hot water). They served self service area for tea and coffee. Parking lot is relatively small. You can ask their help and leaving your luggage for awhile in the front desk.

Located in the center of Surakarta (Solo) city, Central Java Province. Actually a good bulding with standard rooms (clean, with good AC, TV, hot water), but the service was really bad, and the parking lot was so small that even a motorbike was difficult to park. The manager didn't greet us as we came in, and the male porter didn't dress properly like a hotel staff. The breakfast was supposed to be delivered to our room, but after almost two hours of waiting we decided to pick it ourselves.

Wahyu spoke good English and made sure that we experienced his city to the fullest. He took the time to give us directions to the sights. What we appreciated the most was that he took us out to try different kinds of delicious street food, gamelan music and even took time on his day off to take us to a village and see the making of tofu, rice crackers and the making of gamelan instrument. He simply made our time in Solo memorable. We ended staying 3 rather than 2 days because of him.|Good location and right priced for hotel simple clean

We stayed here in solo a couple nights and this hotel had great new clean rooms with private bathroom and ac. The location is very convenient and the price is totally worth it ( twin beds 200,000Rp/night/room). The downside is the poor breakfast, see photo attach.

Istana Griya 2 is a budget hotel in an excellent location. They are happy to organise reasonably priced tours to the Hindu Temples, tea plantations and waterfalls near to Solo. The highlight for us at the hotel was Paul Wahyu, a member of staff, who is a short time, became a wonderful and caring friend. When we arrived in Solo I was ill with a stomach upset and Paul was wonderful, offering me teas, coconut milk and making me a special healing broth for breakfast. I recovered rapidly under his gentle,caring eye. He also encouraged us toaccompany him to a music festival in Solo whish was mind blowong. Performers from all over Indonesia performing contemporary music and dance, it was fabulous. Thank you Paul, you are a treasure.

This was very nice place in cheap prices. I had my private room with private bathroom and this is in the heart of the city. You can just walk 3 minutes to find the beer bar near hotel. The staffs was also friendly. It was good for long term trip as well.
