Oyster Shed on Wray

Freshest, juiciest oysters cracked open in from of you straight from the Clyde River. Also Freshest prawns. Lovely outback seating with views of the Clyde River and Batemans Bay Bridge where you can just sit back , kick back and enjoy the views. Kids loved throwing the prawn heads into the River and watching the fish rise to the surface of the river.

6 stars if I could. The best Sydney Rock oyster I had in a long while. Still remember the buttery smooth taste in my mouth after our trip to the South Coast. Give them a try if you are in the area.

Wow not only are the oysters unbelievable here fresh and succulent. The coffee is amazing. It’s not very often. You find a coffee that you can finish to the end and really enjoy. Also the owners and staff are so beautiful and welcoming. Love this place.

The Sydney oysters were deliciously fresh -sweet with tangy brine. We got 2 dozen shucked ones. The prawns were also worth getting. They have lots of different dressings for the oysters, which I thought was great. We got a chilli one which Is recommend and plain lemon juice which wasn’t anywhere near as nice as fresh lemon

Fresh local oysters. The oysters seemed a bit small, but it was slightly cheaper than some other shops in the region. We do get a nice view of the lake from the shop to add to the ambiance of enjoying the seafood. The shop is a little out of the way to get to, but it did seem quite busy, which is always a good sign.

Absolutely awesome. The oysters were so fresh and delicious. The prawns were exceptional. The location is excellent. Views to die for. And the best thing was the staff. So friendly so helpful. This place is a must to stop in and eat. The best place in Batemans Bay

Service: Cold reception on arrival. Staff ignored us. Potential owner came out with also a cold reception. Ordered a dozen and he tried to sell the bag of 40 (potential miscommunication?). When corrected he said that not many people buy a dozen as the time it takes it open them it's not worth it... Not sure why they would sell them in a dozen in they're going to comment. Left feeling unhappy and slight regret buying from them. Oysters: Bought unshucked dozen for $12. Very very small AND few oysters were off, the smell was so bad we had to double bag it. We reluctantly ate the rest and hope we don't fall sick. Recommendation: Better and bigger oysters and better service in Montague Oyster in Narooma (only unshucked, $14 for dozen for their medium which were still much larger) and if you're heading further south try Easter Show Silver winner Broadwaters Oysters, Pambula Lake (unshucked and shucked available), with their amazing service and willingness to discuss how they grow and process their oysters. Even got to see their back end sorting area, with respect.

Best oysters we ever had! Whatever we ordered, we had to order more, it was this good! Highly recommended. Absolutely loved the place. Can’t wait to come back.
