Oz Hotel occupies that enviable sweet spot in Cartagena’s bustling heart, a lively urban mosaic of cafés, conveniences, and sun-splashed beaches, all conveniently within a stone’s throw. One steps out not merely into a city, but into a rhythm - laundromats at the ready, honest food aplenty, and the benevolent Caribbean sun performing its daily civic duty of brightening both streets and spirits. Breakfast here is nothing short of a morning symposium of delights. A generous spread of local offerings awaits, crowned by thick, unapologetically juicy slabs of fruit that suggest abundance rather than austerity. Special mention must be made of Daymar from the restaurant staff, whose attentiveness was matched only by a smile so warm it might reasonably be classified as an additional breakfast item. She rendered the ritual of the morning meal not merely pleasant, but quietly uplifting. If one were to don the mantle of constructive critique, it would be to note that the rooms could benefit from modest enhancements in accessibility and functionality. A humble shelf, a strategically placed hook for a towel - such small mercies would go far. The modern traveller, after all, arrives armed with a cornucopia of bathing paraphernalia, and the bathroom presently transforms this simple act of organisation into a minor intellectual exercise. I found myself expending an inordinate number of brain cells negotiating the optimal placement of toothbrush, towel, and toiletries - a puzzle engaging, if unintentionally so. That said, these are trifles rather than tribulations. For a short stay, Oz Hotel performs admirably and with charm. For a longer sojourn, a touch more functional foresight would be welcome. Would I recommend it to the budget-conscious traveller? Unreservedly. Would I suggest it to the long-term remote worker in search of ergonomic serenity? Perhaps not. But as a place to briefly reside, to absorb the local flavour, and to feel Cartagena rather than merely pass through it, Oz Hotel succeeds with commendable flair.

Staff is the best! I thought I was going to the other hotel as they promised an upgrade, and I tried to confirm it a while before going on my trip (10 days). However, they did not give it to me, and this hotel has no pool. It has awesome breakfast, awesome and helpful staff, good A/C and great location. Rooms are comfy, however have no bath tub or great views outside.

We originally booked a stay at the Oz Luxury Hotel but were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to the brand-new tower of the Oz Hotel, part of the same hotel group, located just 150 meters away.||The facilities are impeccable. The room was spacious, stylish, and sophisticated, with great lighting, a comfortable king-size bed, and top-quality pillows. The bathroom and shower were also excellent and very roomy.||The staff was extremely attentive from the moment we arrived — starting with a welcome drink at check-in — and remained thoughtful throughout our stay, offering towels, coffee, and water 24/7. Housekeeping was efficient and consistent, which is especially important in a hotel so close to the beach.||The location is outstanding. Bocagrande is a fantastic area to enjoy Cartagena’s beaches and dining options, and it's also just a short ride from the historic center, Getsemaní, and the departure points for boat tours.||Breakfast offers a wide variety of high-quality options, especially fresh fruits and breads.||The hotel also features a beautiful rooftop terrace with an incredible view. It would be even better if there were a bar to make the most of that wonderful space.

We stayed twice with them. Our first night in Colombia and our last night. The hotel is not that big but has a boutique feeling which is great. Great atmosphere and decoration. The staff is just excellent, no other words to describe it. You guys have a great team that deliver an excellent experience to guests. We got a king size room that had an extra bed the first night. Room was nice and big, shower was very nice and everything modern. (Keep in mind I saw other rooms being cleaned and they were smaller) You get welcome drinks (non alcoholic) but it is a nice touch to the experience. The breakfast is nice and the staff there is always ready to serve you with whatever you need. It can get a little noisy but you are going to find it everywhere (you should not loose your sleep from this). Taxis and motorcycles are always honking on the streets. We came back to Cartagena for 2 nights before flying back home. I had booked another property for those 2 nights since the other property had a pool. However after arriving to the other property, it was a mess. Searched online and booked my last night at the OZ. You guys make a difference. Please keep it up and support your staff fully, they are the ones that make guests come back. Thank you and great team at OZ.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was upgraded due to the noise from my neighbors at night. The breakfast buffet was adequate, though I felt the food lacked a bit of flavor. The rooms were lovely and had a romantic atmosphere.

Absolutely horrible experience with the front desk. They have 3 hotels we booked in one and they asigned us another...it didn't have a pool or a gym and we received a msg from the hotel saying that we could use the pool of one of the hotels.and at the front desk they say...no you can't. Witht the email in my hands...I run out of there, what a horrible place and staff.
