Ozona Grill and Bar

Found ourselves downtown and happened upon this restaurant. Very nice experience with everything, food, service and atmosphere. Buddy gave it a 3 bubble review. They even had a sandwich named after him. We'll eat here again if we are on this side of town again.

Great brunch and bloody marry Momosa bar, great out door seating. I highly recommend the pancakes. Definitely a place for family gatherings or special events.

Loved the pork chop, garlic mashed, and garlic bread. Like loooooved. Everyone else enjoyed their food too. Frozen Jack and Coke was too strong but that’s kind of a good thing. Server was friendly. Atmosphere is fun.

I had the Ozana burger, we also shared chips and salsa. Great food, very generous portions. Service was amazing, we were hosted and served by Avery. Quite for early dinner but im sure it was busy later.

I've seen this place for many years while driving up and down Greenville Ave, so my expectations were set high, unfortunate I was met with great disappointment as the food was very bland. The steak fingers, enchiladas, onion rings were all very bland, no seasoning, no flavor. I expected the food to be good as this place has been here for years. Maybe people visit for drinks and the outdoor the atmosphere. The outdoor atmosphere was great

I had such a great experience at Ozona Grill & Bar! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and our server Raymond truly made the night. He was attentive, friendly, and checked on us just the right amount without being intrusive. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving great service. Everything came out perfectly, and we felt well taken care of from start to finish. Definitely will be back—ask for Raymond if you can!

We had our brunch here this morning! Raymond was our server!! The food was wonderful! The server, Raymond was phenomenal! He was considerate, funny, always checked back on our group! There were 14 in our group, Nancy’s group he called us! Loved the atmosphere! We have had brunch hear before but Raymond made it special today. Thanks Ozona’s for hosting us!!

If you find another one from me, this serves as my update. We arrive to an almost empty restaurant and get set at the table in the little room right next to the fireplace. Its not horrible but I sit next to the fireplace since I'd be able to handle the heat better than the rest of my family. I still ended up having to take off my sweater I was wearing. We ordered our drinks, get them, then ordered our food. We get our food, minus one meal, no worries as it arrives maybe 2 mins after. Though all was okay then my wife ran out of water. I said she could have mine while waiting on her refill that I thought the waitress would bring back. We keep eating and now I need a refill on coffee, my wife more water since we only have the one glass now between us, as well as my son needing another Coke. Oh, and that's when I realized my youngest never got any syrup with his pancakes. Shortly after this, mind you I had to wave down the server to get the replacement drinks, one of the bussers comes over to the fire and stokes it, making the room yet even hotter than it already was. At this point, I move to another table with my coffee. The heat was enough to make me not want to eat anymore, so I then asked for a manager. Not sure if who they sent was one but it was one of the strangest interactions I've had with a "manager". I didn't ask for a discount, and made a comment that it was really just to inform them of what all happened. The manager said sorry, walked away saying she'd be back, then after finally coming back to the table, all she said was, "we apologize for your experience, I hope you give us another shot in the future." Then walked away. At that point, I just wanted to leave. Of course I'm never going back because while I don't care about the discount, it's the fact that nothing was even said making me think any of my complaints were heard and understood. A true example of the phrase "falling on deaf ears". Overall, if any of them would have thought there is a fire, nearly half empty restaurant, let's not sit this family right next to it, I probably wouldn't have even said anything about the poor service. We don't come here often but it was always a great place, until today. I usually give places 3 times before giving up and all 3 poor experiences would normally be in a row, however, this time I can't do it. Maybe it was an off day but I'll never find out again.

We had a family (of 11) breakfast on the patio that included 4 energetic littles. We had no trouble being seated immediately even though only half of our party was there. We even had our drink order taken for those who were there. Our server was funny and friendly but a little too talkative/personal. The service was overall outstanding and the food was great. My first coffee cup was dirty but they brought a fresh one right out. They made a fresh pot of decaf for me, which I always appreciate.

Met a friend for lunch and meal was disappointing. I tried the soup and salad. Spinach salad was okay but onion soup was not palatable. Service was slow.

Thursday 1/2 price on bottled of wine.. Great Chicken fried Steak.. Awesome Patio Dog friendly

I liked the outside a lot and the big screen. I got the steak fingers which were kinda mid I def wouldn't get again, the onion rings tho..... FIRE . Service was good too. Would def go back for the vibes to watch a game & drink

The service and atmosphere is amazing? Foods good. I really recommend the nachos!! Sit on the patio if it's pleasant outside. They have a HUGE and BRIGHT tv out there!!! I highly recommend.

The food and service was a 10/10! Our server Raymond was funny, quick, and helpful. Our family of 8 had a wonderful time and left very full. We went to the Greenville Ave location in Dallas, TX.

I hadn't been to Ozona in about 15 years. It was previously a family staple until we moved. On my return visit, I found the food delicious and the service excellent. My mom and I were there on a Wednesday afternoon, so it was a bit slow, but the Olympics were on and we were entertained. I had the spinach and cheese quesadillas- so incredibly delicious with fresh spinach. My mom had the spinach salad and those jalapeño medallions are insanely yummy . We had a great time. The ambience is bar-like. On a spring or fall day, sit on the patio!

The service was great. JORGE P was my server and always checked on us ( party of 12) plus everything else going on. The food was good. LOVE the jalapeño fries with cheese. Big bar for those who want to just sit and chat and a massive patio area. Will come back for sure!

Such a chill spot to hang out at. I loved all the outdoor seating/beer garden vibe that it was giving off. We went here for a work lunch so we sat inside. But it was such a relaxing environment, the staff were all super friendly, we got seated and served pretty quickly. I ordered the Buddy's Club and it was really juicy and tasty, I really enjoyed it overall and will definitely be back soon!

We go weekly but left early . There was a freak show bartending . Time to manage that situation as the staff and customers all seemed uncomfortable .

We had a small (25 people) get together on 6/26/25 at Ozona. We're all in our 70's and a bit loud but our amazing server Raymond handled everything like a pro! I would highly recommend Ozona for get togethers or just a meal. But you need to ask for Raymond for great service with a big smile!! Thanks Raymond!!

Ozona has been in our rotation for years, but after this weekend, it's out. There are too many gnats and flying bugs in the bar area. It needs a SOLID cleaning.......meh.

Do not attend this place. Worst staff I have ever experienced. I am 22 and was denied because the "security guard" had an ego problem and wanted to have his moment. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I hope you do the same.

Been here plenty of times and never disappoints! The food is so good, service is always top notch. Our server today, Raymond, was excellent! Speedy service, extra friendly.

12/26/24 reservations 5:45 for a big big family. Our server was outstanding! Food was delicious. Spinach salad had just enough honey mustard. Most of our party ordered CFC or CFS...lightly fried and very moist meat. We were apart of a large family in the stage room. Lovely hostess too. Loved how the food was delivered as soon as it was ready by helping team of servers. Hot food, because of a great team. I love a server that pre-buses and keeps my drink full. Great food, great service, great team all because of a great management team managing a restaurant the way it's supposed to be run. Thank you for your outstanding management. We'll be back!

After 30 years, Ozona has become a Dallas institution. It is named after the unincorporated West Texas town of Ozona, which has the distinction of being the only town in Crockett county - a county that is larger than the state of Delaware. The outdoor patio is the aorta of this establishment. It commands your attention. I recommend the Barnhart "Macho" Nachos and The Mexican Platter with the chili relleno. Both are excellent.

We had a birthday dinner at Ozona with a group of 10, and Chevy -- our server -- absolutely crushed it. Friendly, fast, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure everyone at the table was taken care of - no small task for a big group. Ozona's got the chill vibe, strong drinks, and great food down, but Chevy took it from "fun night out" to "we're definitely coming back." Ask for him if you go. Total pro. He made a fun night feel even more special.

Brought two friends from out of town to Ozona and had a great time. Raymond was such a fun server! He was so funny and personable. Will be back again. The Mexican candy shots were sweet AND spicy, some of the better tasting ones in the city. Also, their menu states they have the BEST mojito in town...definitely tasty but not sure if it's the best haha there was a ton of mint, but it was fresh and tasty - so can't complain. Fried okra was definitely the BEST in town..could tell it is 100% freshly prepared. Their jalapeno ranch was good as hell too.

We had went to Ozana grill and bar.. it was ok, but too much greasy.. the chips were takes like some grease.. of course my onion rings were good but again it was greasy.. so, the food it is large portion (which it is good).. service (awful).. it took about 10 -15 mins to order.. the atmosphere is a regulat bar and grill..

Raymond our server was outstanding! We went on a Saturday with SMU playing so it was busy, but Raymond didn't miss a beat. If you go in ask for Raymond, everybody loves Raymond.

Food is awesome, I've been to this location several times and it's fair to say I have not found anything to complain about. The servers are nice, full of smiles and happy to be at work. The meals are large portions and drinks are regularly filled try the steak fingers for an appetizer they don't disappoint!

Scott always takes care of us and is one of the best bartenders in Dallas! Lunch at ozona is always fun and we have great service every time we go!

We meaning our family recently visited Ozana for lunch. We had Raymond as our waiter, he was very helpful with everything and attentive. Along with the good service the food was as usual good. We've been here before and plan going again. Btw we couldn't help but notice we weren't the only ones who like Ozana. Check it out.

The Heuvos Rancharos were amazing and my boyfriend had the Chicken Fried Steak and we both had the Rosemary Potatoes. Absolutely worth the trip! Service was excellent and we sat on the patio. You will not be disappointed

From Chicago, first time at Ozona's. Looked like a dive driving by, but food is surprisingly good! I ordered the Ozona burger (5/5). It reminded me of a Big Mac, with cheese, lettuce, pickles, and special sauce, except the ingredients--beef, toppings, and bun were 8/10 instead of McD's 2.5/10 : ) I got the homemade fries (4/5). They're like the fries your mom used to make when she peeled some potatoes, cut em up, and deep fried them. A little thinner than mom's, so I had to give them a 4 instead of a 5. The onion rings (4/5) were really good. Like a blooming onion, except less greasy. The peach cobbler (5/5). Tasted like the peaches were picked this afternoon. Very fresh and sweet! Highly recommended!

Ozona was great AGAIN! Great atmosphere, we eat in the patio all the time. Ask for Raymond, he is entertaining, very attentive and makes great recommendations,... I call him Mr. Ozona! The Ozona burger is very good. You will love eating here!!

Food was served warm for our table of 6 which is always a huge win and free chips and salsa during happy hour (you have to ask for them!). Many entrees are big enough to be split which is nice for the rising costs. Service was awful and slow. We watched many tables get served before us despite sitting down before them. Not sure if our waitstaff was overburdened or was having a bad day but definitely put a damper on the evening. Didn't expect a normal dinner to take 2 hours.

like a local Katy trail ice house but calmer in the Lakewood neighborhood. Pretty good food. Nice big TVs for watching the games, can bring dogs. Price: $$ drinks: 6/10

first and foremost, Raymond was our server and he was AWESOME!! He was super attentive and made sure we were happy during the whole meal. We came for a late lunch and it was great! we were able to enjoy the patio and the portions were huge! we've been coming to Ozona for years and will keep coming back!

Absolutely fantastic day to find a patio and this place popped up. Walk in and as great, semi busy but got a table. Then 8 minutes goes by with no server. 10 minutes and one arrives so we order drinks, chips and salsa and our meal to make it quicker. Drinks arrive 5 minutes later. Then 12 minutes later our food arrives. No chips or salsa and enchiladas are cold. We send back enchilada plate. My date finished his plate before mine came back. Chicken enchiladas were warm but dry, boiled chicken with no flavor. Not enough sauce to help. Ambience was great, service slow and food subpar.

This morning I came here to eat breakfast. my Family got Raymond (Mr. Ozona) as our server today and he was amazing.
