The rooms were a little old, but not unsanitary. The window had a little space in front you could sit on and watch the street below, which was cool. The staff was really friendly (especially the guy that was there during our check in) and the breakfast options, although not many, were delicious. We had the ciabatta and the granola once and it was both good. The location is amazing. It's a little further from the central train station, but very close to the harbor, a great Cafe and a lot of shops, as well as a park. If I visit Oslo again, I'd consider booking here again.

I am surprised about the negative reviews about the staff because they've been excellent for me. Old and young. Friendly, helpful, funny! And certainly the service anywhere makes all the difference. I would easily return here. It's value for money for Oslo. Rooms (I've seen two - mine and a friend's) are spacious, bathrooms too. Yes, it's all basic but that was expected. Great location - near the main attractions, the main railway station, the main gay bar (London Pub - a legend).|One thing I do agree with is the walls are a little thin - seems to be between floors rather than across as, right now, I can hear (feel!) people above running around upstairs and muffled voices. Probably a family as I don't hear (or feel) anyone else.

The hotel was affordable and had a good location. But my room 617, had some kind of problem on the bathroom floor. It was extremely warm, I was barely able to keep my feet on the ground. The hotel was relatively quiet and clean but very old. The bathroom mirror felt like falling off. Overall it's okay for a night's sleep only. Nothing more

The cheapest option in Oslo and a very pleasant stay. For the price you don't get some kind of luxury, but I completely don't see this as a downside. Rooms very decent, bed comfortable, very quiet. There is an option to buy breakfast - I did not do so. You live right in the centre, so everywhere is close on foot, and there is a metro entrance and tram stop right next to the hotel entrance. There were no things that bothered me during my stay. Maybe just the view. I ended up in a room that had a view of other people's windows. This won't be a problem for someone who spends most of the day exploring the city. On top of all this, very pleasant and helpful staff!

I am generally very happy with this hotel. The room was ok for the price, though the absence of a water boiler results in only 4* for the room. The room was quiet and clean, the personal friendly, and for us it was important that the stop for a tram to the hospital was within walking distance. Also the famous Karl Johans gate is within walking distance, together with a lot of nice shops.

Having read some negative reviews of this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a good quality budget hotel - and at a reasonable price (by Oslo standards - a very expensive city).|Location is good - walking distance from the railway station and close to all the city centre attractions.|Check in was easy and the room quality was good - decent sized and comfortable bed, and a clean modern bathroom with shower. All you want really for an overnight.|Only issue was connecting to the WiFi. Normally a simple click on your phone or device, but that didn't work. Had to get the guy at the desk to sort it for me, which he did.|Otherwise, an overall good experience

Amazing location, deeply mediocre hotel. Small but clean rooms, absolutely garbage Wi-Fi. You're paying for being central and not much else but it's very hard to argue with the price. Beds are comfortable enough, TV doesn't usually work, TERRIBLE internet connection. If you have realistic expectations it's a solid option.

Yelp
Booked through Expedia to stay for 2 nights on my own after a 3 night business stay the Radisson Blu Plaza. Not a fancy hotel but is centrally located to the tourist sites and located within an older building. Had an economy single twin bed room which was a little small for US standards but fine for 1 person. Front desk friendly (as was everyone I came in contact with in Oslo) and accommodating. Requested a room on an upper floor interior per Rick Steves to prevent any street noise issues and there were none. Room comes with a breakfast bag delivered with sandwich, juice and fruit just outside your door in a bag. I asked to have it delivered @ 530am the morning of checkout so to catch an early train (Flytojet) to the airport and it was delivered as requested :-) I would definitely stay here again when travelling on a budget.

Yelp
Maybe I shouldn't have booked the "Budget Double Room" when staying at P-hotels. But one way or another: rule number one is to keep every room, for every budget, tidy and clean when a new customer checks in. I know it's a cheap hotel, well 65 pounds a night, and therefore it can't compete to a 5 star hotel, but I just can't give this one 3 stars...thought about it...but really can't. Here's why: - There were big dust bunnies on the floor and it was clearly not mobbed. Even a hostel room for much much less money is cleaner and also probably less noisy. - If you sit on the bed, you automatically sit on the slatted frame. Thankfully if you lay down, your body weight equals out so you don't feel it anylonger...pheeew. - Drum roll.....drdrdrdr the breakfast gets delivered TO YOUR DOOR. But I wish they wouldn't have, because that's why they just didn't make it to the 3-star bar. A sandwich and a little bottle of "orange juice" aka "water with a bunch of sugar and yellow colour". I'd also call it German Fanta with no bubbles. I took a picture of the sandwich, which speaks for itself. - The carpets on the floors outside the individual rooms where pretty messy as well. I'll give 2 stars for: - Very helpful and nice receptionist. - Clean bathroom with floor heating system. - Apparently free coffee and tea that I never used. - Latest check-out at 1pm. - Central location. Not terrible, but most definitely room for improvement ;)

Yelp
After spending the night in a disastrous hotel on our first day in Oslo, we immediately searched for new and cheap (impossible in Norway) hotels and found this place. The rooms were nice and clean, the prices aren't that bad in Norway standards and it's in the center of the city.

Yelp
3.5? I am giving a four because the staff was amazing and helpful. We got in Oslo on an early train after 7 hours and all we wanted to do is SLEEP! They let us check in as soon as we got there (about 7:30am). The staff was also great with giving directions and calling us a cab and getting us a good deal. The downfalls were that the room was not very clean. There were dustbunnies in every corner and the linen looked dingy. I didn't get the feeling the place was ever vacuumed or swept. The pillows were flat and terrible. The television, literally, had 3 channels (all sports) and the "breakfast" left at the door was sketchy, to say the least. A creepy little sandwich and a bottle of... dude... I am just not sure. The orange juice version of yoohoo? Unlabeled. No! I know this is a cheap hotel, but I believe the game can be stepped up a bit.

Yelp
I recently stayed two nights here while doing sight-seeing in Oslo. The price and location are unbeatable. You are within walking distance of all the major attractions and it was only a 5-10 minute walk from Oslo S Station. There are grocery stores and restaurants right around the corner from the hotel. For the price, you should not be surprised that this isn't the best maintained hotel. The hallways are dingy and the room was tiny. That being said, the bed was comfortable, everything was basically clean and the shower, though small, got plenty of warm water. Most importantly, the front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped us navigate Oslo's public transportation, explained good restaurant options, and helped us figure out the best way to see attractions we were interested in. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for the price, location and quality of customer service. Even if it is not the must luxurious or modern hotel, everything is clean and professional. It exceeded my expectations considerably.

Yelp
It's cheap but that doesn't mean it's bad. It's a budget hotel but it's very acceptable. Free coffee, fruits and tea 24/7. Very friendly staff. Downsides? People who want to fall asleep before 21 and stay on the 1st or 2nd floor might have some problems because there is a tram passing in front of the hotel and makes a bit of noise. The breakfast is basic but it's very good. Two sandwiches, organic juice and a fruit (I got banana). There are only a couple of channels (the free ones) on the TV but it's enough to keep company. I noticed a bit of an odd (not bad, just... not mine) in the room. The hotel is very warm so don't worry about that. The only real issue I had with the hotel is the very, VERY bad internet connection. It disconnects all the time. You get a code but unless you keep the internet active it disconnects. Active means downloading something. The time-span of a non-active connection needs to be increased to something about 15 minutes because the current 30 seconds is not enough. It's very annoying and you can barely get any work done. I recommend this hotel for people on a budget, I don't recommend it for those needing a good internet connection. This needs to be fixed.
