P45

I was out shopping in the area yesterday with my friend & we popped in to P45 to look around. They had some really cute pieces but we felt incredibly unwelcome by the employees. They didn’t acknowledge us or ask if we needed any help. We felt we were in the way of them and got the impression they did not want us in the store. I was shocked at how uncomfortable we felt in such a short amount of time. We will not be going back.

My favorite women’s clothing store in Chicago. The owner and staff are always friendly and extremely helpful with finding items that fit your style.

Some cool clothing but salesperson didn’t acknowledge us or offer to help - we felt totally unwelcome. Lackluster service, especially for the price point of the clothes.

good selection but the sales people aren't that helpful. prices are high but the quality of the clothing is good. probably won't go back but they are loated on a busy street and ge a lot of business that way.

Lovely, curated to the moment clothing that will last beyond one season in looks and quality. Personable and helpful staff, one of my favorite places...the owner is a peach...

I want to say I am so happy to hear that this boutique is still around in 2019. I recall when it first opened up and I went and visit back in 1999 as I live in New York. I am a Chicago native and it's so wonderful to see how much Wicker Park has changed but preferably to see that the store is still around with beautiful unique cutting-edge designers...to this very day I still wear these two items that I bought back in 1999 thought you would like a little throwback :)

While enjoying pedis with a friend she informed me she still didn't have a rehearsal dinner dress for her wedding, which was just 2 weeks away. Yikes! We dried our toes, hopped in the car and headed to Damen with the hopes of finding something at Marc Jacobs, Cynthia Rowley or perhaps Nanette Lepore. Marc and Nanette let us down (absolutely nada!) and we found 1 good option of Cynthia Rowley. Before settling on the Cynthia Rowley dress we decided to pop into p45 to see if they had anything. My goodness....I always forget how cute this boutique is! Unfortunately, I can't buy anything in normal boutiques right now due to Baby R, but as soon as I shed those pregnancy pounds later this year p45 will be one of my first stops. Our sales gal, Tricia, was beyond helpful! She wasn't pushy in the least bit and really wanted to make sure my friend absolutely LOVED her rehearsal dinner dress. She ended up finding us a beautiful dress that was just perfect...and on sale (score!). She even gave my friend heels, a strapless bra and stockings to try it on. They really have it all here! Now if only they could start carrying maternity clothes for me...

This boutique is conveniently located near where I go to get my hair styled. Confident that my newly coiffed locks would grant me entree into even the most upscale of retailing establishments along this stretch of Wicker Park/Bucktown, I decided to stop into p45. There was a sidewalk sale of sorts going on when I ventured in. Wanting some new and fresh looks for fall, I gave a cursory look at these pieces and made my way to the displays of new merchandise. It is always gratifying to discover a new label, or find an unexpected piece from a brand that I already know about. On this point, p45 delivered. At the direction of one of the saleswomen, I decided to try on a polka dot dress by Ganni, which I ended up purchasing because it not only fit well but could be styled in such a way that would take it from day to evening. I also walked out with a pair of Philip Lim loafers, on sale. I had to restrain myself from the sweats/athleisure, as this store offers Monrow, one of my favorite lines of cozy clothes. I made sure to sign up to the store's mailing list, for advance notice of events/sales, and am already planning a return visit for a mid-season wardrobe refresh.

Best boutique in Chicago. Hands down. I have been shopping here for the past few years religiously. For everyday or an event - there is always something interesting and fresh to add to your wardrobe. I get so many compliments on the pieces I purchase here and my answer is always the same "go see the P.45 team." The women who work at p.45 have become friends - they let me me know about sales, and even tell me when something doesn't work on me. I am so grateful for Tricia, Liz, Eileen and Rachel!

The customer service you get at p45 is far beyond what you receive at other retail stores these days. I love the brands they carry - the quality of each piece is amazing! The girls are so lovely and informative, not overbearing, but very knowledgeable and make you feel very welcome.

Love this store. I have no complaints about it at all. They have a great mixture of local designers (of both clothes and jewelry) and some cult designers from around the world. I always find at least one incredible piece when I stop in and sometimes more. Some of their items are pricey, but there is a reasonable range which I imagine should encompass a larger audience. I've never experienced any snobbiness here, but rather a real passion for fashion and an inoffensive kind of service that is not overbearing, but does sometimes result in me being shown pieces that I wouldn't have noticed on my own.

So, after much looking, I ended up buying the dress I will wear to my wedding here. It's obviously not your standard wedding dress, but it is indeed beautiful! There are so many amazing articles of clothing in this store, and what impressed me most was the customer service. I sometimes get nervous going in some of those new little boutiques on Damen dressed down in jeans and converse, as some employees at other stores may find that a perfect opportunity to snear..BUT at P45 i was treated like a great old friend of the sales woman... It was really a refreshing experience!

I've got to hand it to p45, they are not nearly as predictable as some of the other boutiques around town (and by predictable, I'm referring to some of the shops along Armitage, Southport, and the Gold Coast/Old Town that carry your run of the mill jeans, t-shirts, etc.). p45 really stands out with their unique selection of merchandise and I appreciate that. Plus, they have a great mailing list (I'm talking snail mail here) that informs you of sales and trunk shows - no junk mail, I swear! So why the 4 stars instead of 5? Well, I think their service can be hit or miss. I've had very good experiences at p45, but I think its rather inconsistent. And because I worked in retail for quite some time (and I'm a big shopper), I know how important great service is. But all in all, p45 should not be missed the next time you're in Bucktown.

I am a huge fan of p45!! Seriously, I think that over half of the clothes in my closet are from there, maybe more! I don't know what Melissa H is talking about as far as the bad customer service-the girls there are amazing and would bend over backwards to make sure a client is happy. I have had them deliver clothes to my home, come over and help me rework outfits in my closet (at no charge!), scour the country for a sold out dress and even watch my puppy while I shop. They treat their clients like friends and are always helpful and talkative when you go in. Above and beyond the fantastic customer service, the collection of clothing lines that they carry are phenomenal and they usually carry a line before anyone else has even heard of it. I think it speaks volumes that I can still wear pieces from p45 that I bought 10 years ago and have them be relevant to today's fashion trends. If you're looking for unique, quality pieces that you won't see anyone else wearing then this is the place to go!!

I don't get it. For a while, this store was written up everywhere. Every style guide, shopping guide, and magazine was writing about how this store has a great selection. However, every time I go there, I am never impressed. Trust me, I love supporting Chicago stores but this store makes it hard for me. A lot of the things I can find at other stores in Chicago and with a wider variety of sizes available. I will say this, the staff is always pleasant.

I am still kicking myself for not buying the yellow velour sweatshirt with a deer cross stitched on the front that I saw here last year. That aside, this store has a lot of unique, fun things. Most things are on the pricey side but everything seems well made. They have a ton of beautiful coats which is very dangerous if you're me. I already have 6 winter coats.

I'm not going to lie, this place is pretty pricey. While I cannot justify spending the amount that most of these items costs (let alone buying a whole ensemble!) , if you are in the market for a unique gem to feel like a million bucks in, you may find it here. Sometime's I've been intimidated because I'm sure many of my more upscale neighbors go in and drop a load on outfits, tops, accessories, etc . And me, I look a few times a year and see if something will grab me leaving empty handed more often than not. Recently, something caught my eye. A beautiful Development dress. Now I have a beautiful dress that I love. It will see me through holiday parties, New Years eve and for years to come. I love it! The staff is most always helpful and willing to make you feel important even if you are not a big spender. They even remember my name though I've hardly bought anything there. So for very special occassions or if you just want something not everyone has, check them out.

I really liked p45 boutique- the girl working was so friendly and they had great jeans, sweaters and tops. Some items were expensive as you would usually expect from a boutique but there were some surprisingly affordable items which was a nice change. I didn't get anything but the next time I need to get some new jeans, I'll be hitting this place up first.

Absolutely beautiful, upscale chic clothing in this small boutique in Wicker Park. However, the prices are fairly high; sweaters are priced in the $300 to $600 range. But the clothing is gorgeous, clean and modern.

I've only been to p45 a few times, but every time I've gone, the sales people have been so nice and gone out of their way to find stuff for me. A lot of their clothes are a little *too* trendy (and too expensive) for my tastes, but I always enjoy browsing the shelves, if not buying! :)

I despise this store!!!!! Every time I have been there no one says anything to me when I walk in, or even while I'm in there browsing. They're too busy talking to their "friends" that are there shopping. Plus, all the women that are there are stuck up Bucktown women that think their baby strollers are status symbols.

I always stop in here when I am shopping in the neighborhood and the customer service is top notch! The sales staff is always friendly and go out of their way to help me. The selection here is very unique and while I can appreciate the clothes, most of it is just not my style. Even so, I have found a few really unique treasures here, and it's worth stopping in every now and then even if most of it isn't my cup of tea. I am giving this place 4 out of 5 stars because although it is not my taste it is a very unique boutique and it's worth checking out!

If you're looking for smart, interesting clothing that doesn't 'wear' you... This is the place. The staff is helpful, honest, fun... And Tricia is a businesswoman to be admired.

I love everything about p45 from their gorgeous clothing with unique cuts & designs, to the wonderful staff (friends), fabulous shoes & amazing jewelry. Yet another post featuring oxfords picked up here. It was their 15th birthday so I had to celebrate :)

My absolutely all time favorite store in the city. It's expensive, but every time I wear something (even one piece) that I purchased from this store, I get a compliment. The owners and everyone that works there are super cool. They never push things on you and will give you an honest answer if something doesn't look good. The sales are pretty awesome. Check it.

This past Friday I had the most amazing experience at p45. I had been looking all day for an outfit for a special event and after trecking down to the stores on Michigan Ave. I was extremely frustrated. On my way I decided to visit the stores on Damen and I ended up at p45. I let the sales woman know what I was looking for and she spent the next half hour putting together an outfit for me that me feel like a rockstar. I will forever be grateful for the extra effort that was put in the make my shopping experience a huge success!

p.45 is probably one of the best stores in Chicago. They carry a lot of hard to find and emerging designers. They're in a great convenient location. And they even have some stuff online at www.p45.com

Definitely a cute store for the local and national designers that are a little obscure. Very cute accessories like necklaces and brooches. It is great that one of the Wicker Park shops like p.45 is coming to critcal acclaim in national magazines. It is definitely worth it!

What can I say other then, I love love love P.45. All of the people who work there are so fantastic and they carry the finest clothing ever! After shopping in their store, I would call them if I forgot to buy an article of clothing and they would know exactly what I was talking about and they would ship it to me no problem. They would always remember me when I came in and know exactly what I was looking for. They make shopping at their store such a wonderful experience, and I love going to see them!

Love the selection, hard to see b/c the store is super dark. Best go in here with a clear idea of what works on you, the staff is always less than attentive with me. But the selection is so fab, I keep going back. Love the Megan Park sweaters and Flavio Olivera shoes.

Service is good - if they know you are actually shopping and not just sightseeing. Unfortunately I find things that are gorgeous, have my name all over them, and cost way more than I am willing to spend ($300 sleeveless top hello). But somehow I also find great basics that I will love until they wear out.

Love this store! They have a well-edited selection of upscale, trend-on clothing. Their shoes and jewelry are also fabulous... though few in number (clothing is their main focus). The salespeople are always friendly and helpful.

Great little boutique. Their clothes definitely stand out and you will not see them all over town. It can get a bit pricey, so brace yourself. Great selection of interesting accessories as well. It makes it easier to do such damage to the wallet when the sales people are helpful and nice.

Can't say enough about the helpful, stylish staff and great selection at p45. The way they pull an outfit together is amazing, creative, and always the most fashionable. I'd be in jeans and a t-shirt every day if it wasn't for them! I always leave here with something unique and flattering-they won't let you out the door with anything that looks less than perfect. Of all the clothing boutiques in Bucktown, p45 is my absolute favorite.

P 45 is a quaint little store that resembles that ambiance of a boutique. They offer stunningly beautiful designer clothing crafted with the softest, brightest, most striking materials that you can imagine. Clothing made from Cashmere, Egyptian cotton, Wool, and silks grace the racks and stacks of apparel within the store. Seasonal sales offer a much needed break for some, but for some the price reductions are unsubstantial. Regardless of the season if you are looking for upsale clothing at relatively similar prices, then you won't regret visiting P 45.

While most of Damen has been taken over by chain stores, p45 stands out as an ideal local boutique. The selection is always amazing and high end while still affordable if you are willing to splurge a bit. The owner Tricia is always so helpful and never tells you something looks good on you when it does not. That is a rare find these days.

Best clothes. Best space. Down-to-earth and friendly owner who knows how to dress you. She is excited about the clothes without being pushy. The clothes I have bought from there make me look fashion-forward. And they last.

Cute boutique with very friendly and adorable staff! They also carry a large selection of Phillip Lim! His clothing makes me melt like a Popsicle on the Fourth of July. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of P.L. and to top it all off, they carry his newer diffusion line. I didn't even know my love had a diffusion line and was happy to learn more about it from the very knowledgable sales associate. P45 is my current favorite shopping destination on Damen. If you want to find beautifully made clothing at great prices (their sales never cease to make me swoon), you know where to go!

As taxes in Chicago have soared to an unfathomably high level, I don't do much clothes shopping in town nowadays. However, this boutique has been the one that I can't give up. The clothes are all interesting but not so over the top that you would feel out of place wearing them. The result is that you can wear any of the clothes in a variety of situations - to work, hanging out with friends, or just chilling at home on the weekend. And the people who work there are friendly, believe it or not! A lot of these boutiques downtown, you go in and the people who work there have this "hipper than thou" attitude. Not this place! They remember your name and what you liked the last time you were in, and they are very helpful all around. Also they are not all up in your grill while you are trying to look at the clothes, which is nice, especially in a small store like this where you might be the only one in there. This store gets an A++ on every front!

they have been in business for over 13 years and were a pioneer on damen -- that success doesn't happen to just any boutique. well-edited selection, and love judy and tricia!
