Pachas Restaurant

For us the best place in Pretoria! During our stay we went there twice because the place was recommended to us. And we didn’t get dissapointed. Although the interior is not 100% our taste - the food convinces with an exceptional quality, preparation, presentation and taste. Actually we had one of the best dishes (steak and salmon) we ever had. The whole staff (especially to mention Alexis) are just incredible and you really see them are one team working perfectly together. They even went the extra mile when one of our friends forgot his bag and trying to get hold on us. The place is well run and the little details making here the difference. We can highly recommend the place and it’s a must do when you are in Pretoria. Thank you for this unforgettable experience and dining at Pachas.

We had a lovely time at a work event at Pachas restaurant! We had the prawn tempura and camembert for starters, fillet haloumi and beef short rib for mains, and italian kisses and chocolate brownies for dessert - hats off to Chef Jan! Everything from the food to the wine to the atmosphere was impeccable. And a special mention to our waiter James for tending to our every need and making the evening very memorable.

Reason for a 2 is mainly because I think the manager is assume (white male with a deep voice, in his late 50s or so) who assisted in taking orders was very rude when taking my order and even raised his voice on me 😔. I nicely asked for a medium rare steak as I believe the a restaurant of their stature would definitely butcher it 🔥 🥵, but only to get a lash out telling me they are not other restaurants in a rude manner where my colleagues had to apologize feeling sorry for me. But with the ladies he was Hella soft and charmy and patient with them, not sure if maybe it was that im a male. Nonetheless, the lady that served us drinks was thee best 👌. Otherwise, nice place, nice food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff aside from the encounter with the manager/ assistant 😔 💔 mcm.

All I can say is,wow! Pachas will definitely be seeing me again! Service was on point, food incredible! Thank you so much Pachas for making our anniversary one to remember😊

We recently hosted a group lunch of about 50 people at Pachas and the entire experience was exceptional. Despite the size of our group, the service was warm, attentive, and impressively efficient. The food was outstanding—beautifully prepared, perfectly plated, and full of flavour. A special mention goes to Chef Jan-Willem Pont, whose culinary skill and attention to detail made the afternoon truly memorable. Every dish reflected both creativity and quality, and our whole group left thoroughly impressed. Pachas delivered an unforgettable dining experience, and we highly recommend it for both intimate meals and large gatherings.

Andrew our waiter was so attentive, really made us feel special. The food was great, the music was good but just the right volume and the lighting was relaxing. Superb!
