We stayed at Pacific Hotel for a total of 6 nights. On the first night, we were given Room 538 (double bed), but there were incredibly loud booming noises throughout the night. It was impossible to sleep – the whole room was literally vibrating.
After spending the second night in Busan, we returned and chose to upgrade to a twin-bed room for more comfort. During check-in, we gave feedback about the terrible first night and asked if the hotel could offer a small discount on the upgrade fee as a reasonable gesture of goodwill.
Instead of addressing our request with even basic courtesy, the night shift manager displayed an appalling level of arrogance. He refused to listen, cut us off when we spoke, and made no effort to apologize or acknowledge the inconvenience we experienced. When we asked what would happen if the new room also had noise issues, he raised his voice and told us to leave the hotel immediately — at 10pm.
This was not just unhelpful — it was intimidating, hostile, and unprofessional in the extreme. Two female guests being told to leave at night, over a reasonable request, is beyond unacceptable. His demeanor was arrogant and dismissive, as though guests’ concerns were an inconvenience to him rather than his responsibility.
The lack of respect, empathy, and professionalism from the night manager destroyed our trust in this place. No guest should ever be treated with such arrogance or hostility, and I hope the management takes serious action to prevent this from happening again.
