This place is a budget hotel. It’s like 5 minutes from the airport, which is a great location. You can save some cash if you stay here . The parking lot is a little tight . I had to try a couple times to get into a parking spot between two cars. When I got to my vehicle one morning, I had a small dent on my driver side door because, I presume, the person next to me hit my car when he/she opened the passenger door The room is a little decrepit in some spots. They could use a paint over, for example. When I wanted to turn on the TV and watch something, I got the below error messages. I couldn’t watch the show that I wanted. I was ready to give 3 stars to this place because of the price and location, but the TV problem has forced me to give 2 stars . So annoying. They offered to send a maintenance worker, but I said no because I was too tired. They didn’t even bother to say sorry to me or anything. Just no class or manners. The person I communicated with is named Ivy Edit: see how they respond to my review? They won’t even say “hey, sorry you paid over $100 per night just to have a TV that doesn’t work.” Don’t give this place your money

An acceptable place to try to sleep if you can afford nothing better, but nothing more. The people in the neighboring units had limited understanding of quiet times to allow others to sleep undisturbed. Personnel were competent and polite. The small room smelled of cleaning chemicals. The toilet rocked when one sat on it (This is not an attribute). The air conditioner was extremely loud, and ceiling fan controls were damaged. Hot water was nice and hot. No in-room coffee but there was a hair dryer. The hair dryer was not a good substitute for the coffee. Coffee was available in the lobby. It was located in an industrial section of the city near a neglected and poorly rated Park. On-site Chinese restaurant is not highly rated and is a place I did not choose to patronize. Pacific Marina Inn is not a place where I would ever stay again or recommend! I think having the hotel rated as two-star is a little bit of an exaggeration.

I love this place! The pricing is competitive and is located very close to the airport. Shuttle service from and to the airport is available. The lounge was very nice with good drinks and Karaoke available. The patio area is nice and quiet and has the largest & coolest fire pit I have ever seen! The restaurant was to die for. It had some of the best food I have every had while traveling. The King Pao Beef, Wor Wonton Soup, and Loco Moco were my favorite dishes!

I needed a place to relax before the airplane ride home. Come for the free airport shuttle but stay and be charmed by the Canoe Lounge, friendly staff and fun kareoke experience. The salt water pool was lovely and relaxing. The room was small and sparse but had everything anyone would need. The shower water pressure was excellent. It was a short walk to a park called Lagoon Park, which was not a beach by any means but was a pretty walk. Postmates was accessible and there is a Chinese restaurant on-site.

Was not the highlight of my trip for sure. The A/C consisted of a single window unit that didn't work very well. Reported it to management after the first night and they assured me it would be fixed by the tiyme I returned from my touring. It was not. I called back down to the desk and they sent a guy up who "adjusted" it. Still did not cool the room. Reported it the next morning, they said they would get it fixed. It wasn't. It took me having to say that I'm gonna check out and want a refund for rest of the days booked to get a manager to come to the room to check it out. She did and immediately moved me to another room with an upgrade. Close to the airport. Yes. Close to downtown. Yes. Easy to get in and out of motel. No. Construction and just a lot of trucks parked on the street at all hours made it a pain in the rear. Wish I has spent more money and stayed somewhere else. You DO get what you pay for. If you are looking for comfort, don't stay here.

Our stay at this hotel was far from what we expected. Although it is close to the airport, the constant noise from airplanes makes it very difficult to rest. The hotel is old, dirty, and poorly maintained. The air vents are in disgusting condition, as shown in our photos. Additionally, our room was not cleaned for four days, and when we asked about it, the staff was rude, unapologetic, and even threatened to call the police. Everything feels neglected, with worn-out furniture and a lack of cleanliness that makes staying here uncomfortable and unsanitary. We do not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again. Urgent improvements in maintenance and customer service are needed.

Google
It's is an old hotel but she was built to last. It has space in the rooms to open for 3 large bags. It is located at the edge of the runway. It is that clos. This was very good place if you do not have a lot of time visit or if you have older traveler who can sit for long time. Time from Terminal 1 or rental car airport office airport to hotel the hotel is 3min drive or 20min walk.

For a quick overnight stay, all was good. The bed was comfortable. ||Nice to have a microwave. The outside areas were clean and we used the fire pit. The shuttle bus was great to have from the airport and to the airport. The price was reasonable..

Yelp
Worst customer service let alone these woman employees are very brutal and mean. These are Polynesian woman who look like men. The manager who weighs about 400lbs yelled at me. I was intimidated by her. She almost look as if she did sumo wrestling in her days. What ever you do skip this hotel. These woman have attitudes as if we owe them anything. There miserable high school drop outs whom still live at home with there parents. The hotel rooms are terrible. All the woman in the office look so miserable. Sometimes being over weight can make life hard but also exercising can help make your life happy and exciting. I think that's what all these woman that work at pacific marina inn need is some love, attention and a cardio machine. I know for a fact they never ran on or used a one in their life. Ladies, go exercise. Ua ova le lapo'a okou muli.

Yelp
A cpmplete dump. Stay away!!!! And if you book through expedia or another third party they charge exorbitant fees almost doubling the cost if your stay. Worse experience ever.

Yelp
I've been staying here for years. My last trip was just a few weeks ago. I appreciate the fact that there is now a fence around the parking lot - a new addition since my last visit. Parking is tight, especially in the evening, but the front desk / security is willing to help find a space - even if it's at the restaurant. The front desk staff is friendly. The shower gets hot - the water pressure is very strong. The room is comfortable enough to get a decent night's sleep. There's always coffee in the lobby and the little hotel store ahas a variety of things available to eat/drink. You do have to pay cash/card as they will not allow you to charged to your room. Conveniently located close to the airport.

Yelp
This hotel is the worse I've been in... for the money it's not worthed. The AC is a window unit With a trash can outside, under the AC unit to catch dripping water. Be your own bellman, get your own bag, the only thing that's ok is probably the parking, compared to downtown Waikiki. The upgraded room is a joke... and the asking price? Don't go by the pictures online... what a mistake that is. This is a hotel that still has jalousie windows, circa 1950s... and the nearest anything is miles away. This is just us checked in. .. and we are here at 4 nights? The only thing is this weekend is the Honolulu marathon, expected over 35,000 runners... do not book this hotel based on the pictures online... it is nothing like that

Yelp
Jan 10 - 16, 2024. 2 twins. This is a 3 star hotel, my second time staying here. First time was in the early 2000s and I thought it was an ok stay back then. This time around, I made sure to be more observant and to take in the entire experience. Upon arrival, I went to check in and Filo helped me. Filo was informative and courteous, she made the checking in process so much easier! (I had 2 reservations and Filo made sure to note that I'd like to stay in the same room and also explained what I needed to do to make sure things went smoothly - I appreciated her help!). Our room was exactly as described on the website - small room with 2 twin beds and a bathroom. No frills. Although I wished they'd have put a sitting chair in the room for, you know, sitting. lol Parking is onsite and free! I'd advise that you do not stay out too late or you may find yourself looking for a parking spot - I found this out when my son and I returned after 10:30 pm and ended up having to park along the side of the building (with the help of hotel security, of course!) If this happens to you, make sure you go to the office so that the hotel staff or security can help you out. There is an onsite pool and it's beautiful, except it was open for a day or 2 during my 6 night stay. Why, I don't know and didn't ask because I didn't plan on using it. So, if the pool is important to you, ask about it. There is also a restaurant onsite, the Lagoon Chinese Restaurant, which I've heard (from locals) is good. There is also a bar but I didn't note the name. Overall, stay was good. Service was good (be nice to the cleaning staff and they'll return the favor!). In fact, every staff member I interacted with was nice and professional. Recommend? Yes, especially if you're looking for inexpensive accommodations. I used to live here and this hotel was in prime location, easy and fast to get anywhere - waikiki and East Honolulu, as well as the other side of the island, Waianae, etc. Also, I loved not having to pay $40 a night for parking as I did in Waikiki, or driving around in circles looking for parking. Return? Next time I'm in town, YES!

Yelp
Everything from the time I called in last minute check in date of and pet friendly! The hotel I believe have been at the lagoon For ages, passerby and going to the Chinese restaurant in the complex of the hotel. I decided to call on behalf of my 92 year old mom will not be able to away from home during the prepping of the fumigation. Luckily there was a large room availability for three adults and pets. I consulted with the staff about my situation of our capture of our ‍ a tall security man enters the convenience shop he helped us with getting a long stick to capture her to her cage. Hubby took her home. We spend our one night in comfort! The television we had no idea on how to change channels so we left on as is. To my surprise next morning I saw an oldie "The Monkees" 3-4 young lads that I was in their fan club in my junior high school years mid 60's! I'd like to go back again to stay to swim in their pool... staff all friendly and the bar lounge next to lobby awesome we had our happy hour welcome text message we went to have one drink before our dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant. They also have an outdoor sitting area with a fireplace cozy quiet garden area. I highly recommend either short stay or transitional passengers from the airport they have their own vehicle to pick passengers.

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars I would. First room still had body hair in the sheets. They moved me rooms and the next room was dirty, wires hanging out, peeling paint, dents in the walls and just overall in extremely poor condition.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Better than what I expected ! Pacific Marina Inn was my saving grace after an epic trial with Mokulele airlines. We were treated with genuine hospitality from pick up, check-in and check-out. All staff were all nice and honest. They may not have the best of the best facilities but they have everything you'll ever need. At the lobby, they offer free coffee for guests (which is a 5 star service), they also have mini grocery store that is open 24/7. Our room was ok (again, not 5-star) but it has TV, Wifi, microwave, fridge and the bathroom has all the sustainable amenities like lotion, body wash, shampoo etc. I am shocked to see that they have low stars but if you look into it; this place is worth it considering the price you'll pay. Better than other 3-star hotel brands for sure. Great job Pacific Marina Inn, you guys saved my 25th birthday. Thank you so much!

Chris L.

Yelp
It's a no frills hotel close to the airport with a shuttle - exactly what I wanted. The lobby is nice and they have free coffee. The staff were friendly and the shuttle was prompt. Check-in was easy. Our room had two large beds, which was perfect for us and the kids. The rooms have definitely been there a long time, but they felt clean and were in decent shape. I'd stay here again.

Glenda F.

Yelp
This place is 5 min from Honolulu Airport with a free shuttle. They have excellent customer service. Our room was finished early for check-in. They have a fridge and microwave in the rooms. 20 min to Waikiki. Nice lagoon next to it. They also have a Chinese Restaurant and they serve Breakfast as well in the premises.

Stacy F.

Yelp
For a now frills hotel this place is great! The rates are reasonable the room was comfortable (the bed was like being on a cloud). The room was clean and cute and they provide toiletries too. I have to give this hotel 5 stars because after a ridiculously long travel day, our room was ready and waiting for us. Check-In process was smooth and the staff is filled with the aloha spirit. Lots of smiles and aloha here we will be back Octavia was our driver she was so sweet and was an excellent driver and full of jokes What a fabulous service to have shuttle to the airport and to have Octavia as a member of your team is plus

Todd K.

Yelp
Their communication is absolutely abysmal. They are not my first choice to begin with as the property is outdated and very basic. Still I use them for time to time when the others are too high priced or full. But you get what you pay for. And from the look of the 2.5 star rating, they are not improving anytime soon. Pros Lower price Free parking Cons Room size Check in experience Noisy at night Pre pay policy unclear & inconvenient I could go on..... I came here with my 9 yr old daughter and her mom paid for our stay as a Father's Day present for both of us. My daughter wanted to experience how her dad works in Hawaii so I told her my Father's Day wish was to take her with me and so mom obliged. We have been with Expedia for 28 years and I am an elite member. I come to Hawaii at least once a month and so I spend a lot traveling along with my employees as I am a business owner here. Never have I experienced such a lack of communication and decency in a hotel staff as I did today. I had a clear reservation and a pre paid amount with a balance due of a few hundred dollars. My wife used her card on our Expedia account and pre paid the reservation as i do for the multiple staff I send here. (2 are staying here this visit outside my daughter and I) so I am bracing for impact when they get here as they will turn them away unless I show up at their registration as I paid for their hotel stay too. Why do I say that? Well at check in they insisted that even though the room was paid for ahead of time through our Expedia account their policy is they need the card holder present to process the WHOLE STAY! So DO NOT DO ANY PREPAYS HERE with family member cards as they will not honor them unless they are here. NOWHERE on their profile on Expedia does it say that. They will blame Expedia for all of this but it is their hotel profile right? I mean, they are the ones listed on the travel site. Surely they didn't just let Expedia take all of their info and post it up there without their involvement right? If my wife had paid the entire reservation with her card maybe it may or may not have been different. But I ended up paying 4k for a room for 10 days vs 2k that 1.8k was already pre paid. If it were just me I would just be like ok, I'll go somewhere else but I have my daughter here and that was so uncalled for. LISTEN HOTEL MANAGEMENT- not everyone has 4k at their disposal to accommodate your poor communication and lack of info at booking and check in. I'm lucky that I have that type of money available to me but what if a dad and his daughter didn't? Just oh well huh? That's our policy and go talk to Expedia! Well I did and they assured me my wife's money would be returned and it took 3 calls from Expedia to this hotel before they finally said something to that extent. Also, it is important to add I called the previous day before I checked in and inquired why when I booked out about two weeks prior to my arrival today the same room and stay was 1k cheaper?? I cancelled the booking and made a new one to save my family 1k! Could it be they didn't like that and this is why this happened? Very shady if you ask me. I will not be coming back here and I highly recommend not using this hotel unless you are prepared for this type of behavior. My best suggestion is always use your own card and do not pre pay or you will have the same experience I did. Hey, 3rd party travel services always require the booking party to be at the place of booking right? I mean if your company sends 5 employees to a hotel for a convention or work using the CEOs credit card the CEO needs to be there right? Give me a break! The whole reason 3rd party booking agents exist is for this reason. You will not see me or any of my employees again at this establishment and I pray you never get caught with your children in the cross hairs of this places poor behavior or ridged and poorly communicated policies.

Shawna H.

Yelp
If you value your sleep, I do not suggest staying here. At 3am you can hear the beeping of large trucks loading or moving. The rooms are small and the bed is less than comfortable. Instead of reading reviews, I decided to stay here for the "price". I booked through a third party for $150 and then had to pay an additional $20 upon arrival. Shady area in an industrial zone. The window doesn't blackout so it is difficult to sleep. Run down and. Not worth the price paid. Buyer's remorse

Hypatia R.

Yelp
Leslie, the 'manager', was hostile to me...so was one of the maintenance people. Leslie is forcing me to be out of my room in 3 hours, knowing that I am disabled & in pain; The reason I'm leaving early is because I can't breathe from the cigarette smoke & the dirty vents here...I will be adding videos of how filthy this place is. There are huge water bugs here & many guests smoke where they're not supposed to. Tina was very friendly & a couple of the other staff members, but a few were intentionally rude for no reason. If you hate your life, maybe change something & don't take it out on the guests. The sink is clogged & leaking; Do I want to see the hostile maintenance guy again? Nope...I would rather check out than have people repairing a list of things that should have been repaired before I moved in...I value my privacy, but here, there has been NONE. There is construction going on next door. I had to clean the A/C filter, which was really fun to do within an hour of being in the room. I have everything I own with me & 3 hours to move while I'm limping around because Leslie won't make an exception & give me till 2, even though she knows the 2nd-hand smoke has made me ill...What a cruel woman; I know Karma always repays those who treat others with cruelty; When you suffer like I have, believe me, you will remember the people you've discarded like trash.

Yelp
I recently had the displeasure of staying at Pacific Marina Inn from May 5th to May 9th, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we arrived until our departure, we encountered a series of problems and disappointments that left us frustrated and unsatisfied. First and foremost, the parking situation at the hotel was atrocious. Upon our late evening arrival, we were faced with a daunting challenge to find a parking spot. Eventually, we managed to secure one, but our troubles were far from over. The next morning, when we attempted to leave, a line of vehicles parked next to the rooms hindered our ability to exit our parking space and wasted a significant amount of our time. Another issue is the television provided in our room, which was virtually unwatchable due to severe pixelation. It was extremely frustrating to have limited entertainment options during our stay. Furthermore, the shower experience was far from pleasant. The water temperature was incredibly difficult to regulate, constantly fluctuating between scalding hot and cold. This inconsistency made it nearly impossible to enjoy a comfortable shower, adding to the growing list of disappointments throughout our stay. However, the true extent of the hotel's incompetence became apparent on May 7th. After returning from a nearby lunch, we were horrified to find our room flooded with water. It seemed to be spilling out of the shower pan, transforming our accommodation into a damp and unwelcoming disaster zone. Immediately, we contacted the front desk to report the flooding, and a front desk agent arrived promptly. To our disbelief, the front desk agent informed us that the hotel was currently short-staffed and incapable of assisting us with moving our belongings to the room we were reassigned to. We were left to fetch our own bell cart and relocate our belongings, which was an inconvenience we certainly did not expect. To compound matters, the flood had ruined my backpack, which contained valuable electronics such as a laptop, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, headphones, and more. Both the front desk agent and I documented the damage, and she assured me that the manager would contact me to address the situation. Unfortunately, no further contact was made by the hotel, leaving me deeply disappointed. Despite being relocated to a suite for the remainder of our stay, the lack of compensation for the inconvenience and the damaged items caused by the flood is utterly unacceptable. It is evident that the hotel failed to prioritize guest satisfaction and neglected to provide any form of restitution for the distress and loss we endured. Following our stay, I diligently filled out the after-stay review, detailing the numerous issues we encountered. In response, I received a canned email apologizing for the inconvenience and promising that a manager would be in touch. Regrettably, since our checkout on May 9th I have not received any form of contact from the hotel. This blatant disregard for customer service is truly disheartening and speaks volumes about the hotel's lack of professionalism and accountability. I would strongly advise against staying at Pacific Marina Inn. With their inadequate parking arrangements, lack of proper staff, disregard for guest belongings, and failure to follow up on customer complaints, this establishment has proven itself to be nothing more than an abysmal disappointment. Save yourself the frustration and choose a hotel that values its guests' well-being and satisfaction.

Jerry M.

Yelp
To all those military folks out there coming to this place, highly recommend you all to stay away from this place. What they told you on the front desk is not when you check out. They will charge you extra fees jsut because they can. I don't want to be a blue falcon and screw the next group of soldiers coming to this place. Soifua

Dee C.

Yelp
It's definitely not worth the $180 I paid, but it was necessary since I was stuck at the airport. They have a $ 15$ daily fee, and the deposit it 100$. I'm not sure if it's for the day or total. The room is really small and you can hear everything. There are trucks backing in beeping all night. There aren't many free outlets, there are 2 on the clock and a few in the bathroom. I had a 7am flight, which I had a feeling I wouldn't make, so I was telling the counter that I may need to return, so I'm not checking out yet. After looking at me crazy and me asking if he's getting what I'm trying to convey with attitude, he said well leave the key. Its almost like they wanted me to check out even tho I might have needed to go back. They do have a shuttle, a restaurant on location (I didn't get to go), a store in the lobby, and a pool. Oh and good luck watching a whole episode of something. The cable sucks, but also cool each room has its own wifi.

De A.

Yelp
I don't understand the negative reviews. I know this is not a four or five star hotel as soon as we roll up. Did the other reviewers expect that? We werent looking for that. We wanted an inexpensive room near the Lagoon area. I found the property to be very clean and efficient. Van driver, lobby staff were very pleasant. Lobby has coffee and tea service. Sure, no Earl Grey, just Lipton, but I'm grateful because it's included. My room is very small. It's really tiny comparatively. I imagine the building has been around since the 1940s or 50s. That's how tiny the room is. My room was aesthetcally simple, with coordinated colors and matching furniture, that looked a bit worn, but maintained. The bathoom was very clean, with white grout, fixtures that worked easily, hot water for a shower, and supplied with many paper cups, toilet paper, a hair dryer, and basics like soap and shampoo. I must repeat: it was CLEAN. The single glass (not jalousie style) window - which could have been from the 70s or even 60s - had NO DUST in the sills. There was NO DIRT in the corners of the room or bathroom and NO DUST on the furniture. There is a mini fridge, microwave and a flat screen TV (arent all TVs flat screen these days?). The hotel provides ice on request. There is no room service (duh). If you want room cleaning service, you have to call in the morning to have your room put on the schedule. Theres a lovely open-air pool and a charming green space with patio chairs and tables. The in-house Chinese restaurant is decent. So, I'm personally loving this place. Why not five stars? It's because service is limited: no cleaning service, no room service, the lounge area is closed; the sidewalks are cracked; older worn, furniture, and an in-wall a/c unit; the in-house Chinese restaurant is run like its in a garage with empty food crates stacked at its front door. Little details like that dull the shine a bit. But! with all that said: I'd still stay here again. Just a **lovely place for the price and location**.

Chris L.

Yelp
The Pacific Marina Inn is not pretending to be anything it isn't and if you do your research you'll know exactly to expect when walking in. Today I did just that, after a long work shift and an unexpectedly long meeting right after I walked in off the street for a bed to sleep in because I was not going to make it back to Waianae on the amount of sleep I had. The room was small but serviceable for my usage, be warned though, the mattress is like sleeping on a block of cheese. I did note that my front door did not seal all the way around but hey, research, I knew this was an old building. Where I was in 320 I didn't get a lot of road noise and I was able to sleep straight into my next shift as planned. Due to the onsite store and free bathroom soap this is a hotel you can walk into with no supplies, I had my small gym bag so for me it was perfect. My room was. . .clean enough, the elevator was a bit spooky though. I would stay here again for the same purpose, an inability to make it all the way to the west side, I might even consider a multi day stay.

Michael L.

Yelp
Solo traveller for Tripler Pediatric Orthopedics rotation. The value for military stay with "MIL" code is very good. The basic rooms would not be adequate for picky family. Located in industrial area and resort fee surprise on bill. Currently, there is construction for light rail and the adjacent Chinese restaurant is closed on Mondays. Lunch parking is busy for the popular restaurant. Wendy's and Taka's Box Lunch are across the freeway. The Keehi Lagoon Beach is behind the hotel with its accompanying issues. Airport shuttle is efficient, especially for late night arrivals. If minimal luggage, several blocks away is a city bus stop for TheBus Route 20 to Waikiki Beach and Downtown. .

Laken B.

Yelp
Perfect location near airport. The staff except male bus drive was friendly. There's a cute desk/work station in the lobby with outlets! Very helpful and free transportation to and from the airport. The rooms are not too bad they are a little dated but in good working condition. However, there was a dead cockroach on the wall near where luggage sits under air conditioning unit. Each room has its own air conditioning unit. Internet is available but very glitchy which is normal throughout the island. So do not expect super fast internet but at least you will have it!:) Better rates if you book from 3rd party apps vs their website. There is a little park walking distance from the hotel to enjoy in the mornings. I only stayed one night because it was perfect distance to the airport.

Glenn M.

Yelp
We stayed here one night while transitioning to the airport for our flight back home. We had an overall good experience. The rooms are simple/small/bare bones but clean and internet worked fine. We didn't need more than that. The AC unit runs continuously (but not noisily), which doesn't bother us and actually acts as a nice sound machine. But if that's an issue, this wouldn't be the hotel for you. The front desk service was very friendly and helpful. They have an attached Chinese restaurant, lounge and a clean pool. The only real negative is location: very industrial, but there's a park behind it that is good for an evening walk or jog along the lagoon. We did have an issue getting our shuttle to pick us up from the airport: it took about an hour. This happened during a world-wide airline computer glitch that caused them to add more shuttle runs back-and-for to pick up people that got stranded at the airport. Although not particularly elegant, we wouldn't have a problem staying here in the future.

Yelp
I wanted an inexpensive, clean, cool and convenient room for just myself for a couple of nights sleep. Found it! Slept well. A/C worked like a champ. Bed was comfortable! Clean! Best snack shop of any hotel I ever stayed at. (Lots of convenience food). Room refrigerator kept things super cool. And I had a microwave. Lots of hot water. Check in folks are pleasant! Common areas show some thoughtful touches. Downsides: not much food (restaurants) nearby. Security lock missing. Needs repainting. Door gap at bottom is not acceptable; although I saw no insects. I'd stay again. Thanks.

Amy P.

Yelp
Book online, has discounts that are much cheaper then dropping in to pay. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. Lots of construction going on but it's safe.

Yelp
I stayed at the Pacific Marina Inn for one night back in May 2024. Upon checking in, I had to pay an additional $23.59 for facility charge. I had prepaid the one night through AAA BUT I had to pay the facility charge. Upon entering our room, it was one room plus a bathroom. It was not in great shape. I had to turn on the AC and it was very noisy. I knew it was going to be difficult sleeping with the AC on. I booked this hotel because they had shuttle service from and to the airport. The hotel was very close to the airport. Since our flight was very early in the morning, staying in this hotel made sense. If I had to do it again, I will pick another hotel. The only plus there was a Chinese restaurant next to the hotel. We had lunch and dinner there and the price was reasonable. If I could give a rating, it would be a negative.

Yelp
WARNING: This facility is at the end of the Airport Runway! Very NOISY, Very LOUD! If that isn't an issue for you, you will find the staff very friendly. Facilities are very basic, but clean. We were there in February - pool is NOT heated, so only a few kids were brave enough to endulge.

Yelp
Pacific Marina Inn goes from a 3.5-star Inn to a five-star experience when people like Leslie at the front desk manage your hotel experience. Leslie goes above and beyond to make the hotel the oasis you crave after a long day in Honolulu. I grew up in Hawaii and have a wealth of experience with the local culture and the aloha spirit. Leslie has that in spades. Wait for Leslie- she is incredibly professional and the customer-oriented professional you want to help meet your customer service needs. She is worth every minute- her service is spectacular. Professionals like her make an average hotel a five star hotel.

Yelp
If I could select a zero star this would be it! Had to wait about 35 minutes for the "free" shuttle. Once we were loaded and on our way back to the hotel he received a private phone call and decided to return to the airport to pick up some crew from an airline so we had a long tour of the airport. Once we finally arrived it was shocking how bad the outside of the hotel looked. Looks like a teardown and is in a terrible part of town. (Very shady). Once we arrived inside the check in, staff was very unfriendly and informed us that we would have to wait until 3:00 to get into our room. Generally hotels will see if anything is available to try to accommodate the traveler. They gave us luggage tags to put on our luggage so nobody else would take it (however when we went to get it later we just removed our luggage) so it was not safe in the least. When we were finally able to check in there were not enough people to check people in so we waited a long time. Check in process took forever. They then said we were to be charged a "resort fee". I questioned what that would be and they informed us that it was the shuttle (which is said to be free), wifi and access to the pool. We also were informed that if we wanted to take the quote "free" shuttle back to the airport in the morning we had to arrive very early as it was first come first serve meaning no guarantee we would be dropped off in time to catch our early flight in the morning. We asked if they had a list of times people were to be leaving to get a sense if there was an issue and no they do not track that information. Once we got to the room it was evident that there was just NO way that we could stay at the hotel. Within the hour we checked out of the hotel and the staff couldn't have cared less about it. I would not recommend anybody to stay at this hotel.

Yelp
Staff was very very nice . The vents in the room did not look like they had been cleaned . I don't think the sheets we were given had been washed . House keeping never came around . We weren't giving a comforter but the air was on full blast all throughout the day (not the air conditioner , we turned that off) . The store downstairs was unreasonably expensive . Luckily everything is in a 10-15 minute radius to the hotel . I have a car because I live here but there is a shuttle for those who don't . The room key kept not working and we would stand outside and swipe it for about 20 minutes . idk if that was just our key though .

Yelp
If you are looking no service in a run down looking cheap motel where you can prolly find in every corner of a seedy area,, then this is it only it located in a tropical paradise. At first look, I think I told my husband, "this is it?" Then I told him thank god its only for a few days while our apartment is being set up. We walk in and our son had to go to the bathroom so we got the keys which were hanging on a huge, please do not steal our bathroom key, key chain something that you'd see if you went to a gas station bathroom. He goes and when he came out, he said that there was a roach that came out with him. EWWWW. We got into our room with 2 beds that weren't made and left over drinks of wine and juice. Hubby said look they left us complementary wine. Im like oh hell no so he waited on getting our suitcases to give them time to clean, of course that is the only time too. They do have hot water down in lobby but it wasn't hot enough to cook my son's cup of noodles fast. It took longer than 3 minutes that for sure and Luke warm with a touch of crunchy. I had to ask several times to get them to take our garbage and give us clean towels. You MUST ask or it won't be done. So um yes.................my husband kept checking the car to make sure it's locked up. We went swimming onto swimming pool which is kinda nice that it's in between the 2 buildings because it's shaded from heat so if you like shade, pool gets a lot but if you wanna tan, then you won't get one in shade. I went to buy something from their mini store so nice to have on premises.....as I went to buy. I found a wad of cash in a wallet.....of course I turned it in, as it should be, but I can't say the same about my sons trunks when I was drying outside. At first I thought the wind took em but no such luck as I couldn't find them anywhere. I hope they enjoy a small men's swim trunks, They were new too. Oh and the room had blinds but the outside was so lit, it look like it was already morning. I kept waking up to tell my self....."it's only 1 am." Yeah, I didn't get much sleep waking up to light. Anyways, enjoy.

Yelp
Bedbugs! My wife got bedbug bit in this motel. I don't like to give bad reviews, so I emailed the manager to let them know. I was totally kind in the way I reported it, and I just wanted to give them a chance to correct the problem. The response I got back was a terse denial. So here's the bad review. I will say that the staff was cool, and it was ok for an airport motel. Except for bedbugs and the manager's response when I reported it. Stay somewhere else.

Yelp
As bad as it gets. Wish we would have stayed in the back seat of a car. The people here are rude. Horrible and freezing rooms. Bed is more springy then a trampoline. Stains everywhere. Smells like urine.

Yelp
Reserved a room with Expedia. Received a confirmation. The hotel ran my credit card twice. Once with the incorrect security code. Once with the incorrect zip code. Because of THEIR errors, the charge was declined by my credit card company. The hotel did not notify me. They did not notify Expedia. They simply cancelled the reservation. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Yelp
If you're looking for a hotel close to the airport that provides a shuttle to and from the airport this is a decent hotel to choose. I mean it does the job of having a place to sleep and shower, however the pictures are deceiving. I thought it was going to be a nicer hotel....but it was alright. I was thrown off as to there was a fridge and microwave in the bathroom? Gross! Our hot shower knob fell off when trying to use the first night. Maintenance is quick though and we got it fixed right away which was nice. The a/c unit kicks off after awhile. The cable box unit was layed ontop of the tv which makes it look cluttery. There are only 2 wall outlets in the room. One under the table under the tv but they do have a huge outlet plug ontop but you can only use 2 outlets in it and then the outlet in the room. Also, noticed while outside someone throw water over the 2nd ledge and it goes into the pool. I then kept seeing this person which was I realized was the maintenance guy. He was going around and continuing to empty these water buckets over the edge and it is going into the pool. That water? It's from the a/c units that are dripping water! Ew! I was definitely no way no how going to use the swimming pool now. This was my first time in Hawaii so next time I know where not to stay.

Yelp
This place is a shithole. And, ya know, normally I'm not this harsh. But when you're clearly a motel pretending to be a hotel, you need to do some serious soul searching. So, I get that this place exists in Hawaii, the land of "I'm an island and can charge any price I want!", but this place misses the mark so far, they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I get there to check in and naturally check in is immensely uncomfortable and takes ages to complete. Why, you ask? Because they lost the damn reservation. Luckily, I keep every single email that isn't spam and still had my original confirmation number. So they at least had to honor that. Oh and...caveat alert: they don't print normal size hotel receipts for you. Nooo...they print a receipt that's about the size of a fast food restaurant. It's so small, I actually forgot about mine and threw it away, thinking it was a store receipt. I check into the room (which is strangely located on the second floor, opposite side of the lobby, right by the loud ass construction taking place at night), and the whole thing looks more like a military barracks room rather than a hotel room. Hell, I think I've seen better MOTEL rooms than this! Oh, btw....there's no stinking elevators in this place. Another sign that this isn't a real hotel. A previous review mentioned it looked family owned. I think it looks more like the whole thing is coming apart. For instance, my front door knob was flimsy as hell. I mean, at least it had a deadbolt. I'm just relieved I wasn't a young and voluptuous girl, else I'd have feared getting anally raped in my sleep or robbed or something. Basically, what I'm telling you all is...believe the anti-hype. This place is ghetto as hell. On a lighter note, their airport shuttle service is on point. But that's about all they've got going for them. I give Pacific Marina 1 elevator-less wannabe hotel located next to vexingly loud construction noise out of 5. Oh yeah...my queen size bed was hard as rock, too. Still can't figure out how they also made the pillows rock hard either.

Yelp
Okay so this place isn't all that bad. To start the staff is so nice. They are comforting and helpful to say the least. Aress and Sina helped me when I checked in and they really put my mind to ease. Isn't not fancy by any means but it's good for what it is. The room is exactly that. It's good for sleep and even though close to an airport, it's quiet and reliable. I first stayed at a fancy ish hotel in the city but it was trash. This is definitely an upgrade. Don't over look this place. It's a gem in the rough.

Yelp
I needed a place near the airport with a free shuttle to crash for 8 hours. The place I normally stay was closed for renovations. Room was tiny and dated. The bathroom was gross. Paint peeling off the walls etc. The toilet barely flushed. Bathroom needed a renovation when Nixon was President. The area was noisy so difficult to sleep. The pillows were old and flat. $16.50 "amenity fee". What amenities? The pool was closed for the night when I got there and I left before it opened. I didn't have a car so it wasn't for the parking space. I never turned the TV on. They don't have soaps etc just pump dispensers of watered-down lowest quality mystery liquid that doesn't lather or produce suds, but at least it smells gross. There is no coffee or any other amenity in the room so really it's just a $16.50 sucker fee. This motel is located in an industrial district and they just built the rail over the motel. I can't imagine how loud that will be if the train ever starts running. Generously rounded up to two stars because the shuttle was clean and on time. And they made me pay a security deposit when I was checking in. Are they afraid I'm going to steal something out of the room? Like what, their old moldy furniture? They would have to pay me a haul-away fee to take something out of there.

Kenzie K.

Yelp
$750 for 2 night here ?!! And a deposit of $380 ?!?!?!?!?!? Now that's just insane. I used to stay here frequently when I just needed a quick room when it was $80-120. I don't see any changes to this place it's looks just like any motel 6. Including the loud rail construction going on at crazy hours. This place for 2 nights is not worth what they are charging.

Yelp
I really can't complain. Yes, it's not a fancy place and photos can be deceiving, but if you're looking for a budget motel to stay at, especially with FREE PARKING, you will have a tough time finding a better deal. The staff is nice. Expect locals staying here, too. There is a pool, and the Chinese restaurant is very good. I only had one issue. Previous guest changed the settings on the Smart TV via a phone app. Hotel room didn't have the actual remote to the Smart TV, so it took a while to figure it out. I had to pay for the Smart TV app on my phone to switch it back. I don't blame the staff for this, but this is an issue they may have in the future with other guests. To sum it up, it's really hard to beat this deal in a very high-priced and high-demand destination.

Yelp
I stayed one week with a guest, this was our first time to Hawaii, we booked here because it would be close to the airport. Upon arrival we were not greeted by any Ohana, it was unfriendly and your wasting my time you stupid Americans. We we're charged an additional $325 and told not to book through Expedia because that is the service I will get, and I should know the policy before booking! SO BE AWARE! Our room was disgusting, they take $225 for a cleaning deposit though it's a dirty room to begin with. I complained through a text messaging service I received, and stated I wanted no retaliation for my comments, as I was there a week. The next day I was greeted by the Motel Mgmt. Who said she was aware of everything, there would be no retaliation and upgraded our room. It was much better, but we did our own maid service the whole week we stayed, and when this big fat man I'll call him found out there was nothing but hate spuing out his mouth with comments and laughs at us! He was a prick! I was there with someone with special needs, and he's such a man he was making fun of her! It was the worst stay ever. We had no wifi unless you go outside at times or in the lobby, the restaurant is closed due to construction, there building a monorail. It's located in the worst industrial part of town, theirs nothing around you, but Wendy's, so you have to drive 20-30 minutes to get breakfast. Stay away from this place! Pay the extra money and get a Hotel on the beach. Unless slumming it is your thing! The standard rooms the microwave is in the bathroom! People left after they checked in! The laundry was broken and closed! There's a reason they only show the pool area! That's where all their money goes! And the room pictures are fake or made up! It says it's COVID friendly but the ice buckets have no liners some of the drinking cups are sealed a lot are not, the tops have been cut off and the plastic is pushed back down in the cup, there is more cars than parking places, so they expect you to park on the street! BEWARE of what your getting into when you stay here! It's not good! I paid $1900 for a week! There's Motel 6 nicer out there for way cheaper!

Yelp
Place is clean but they charged me a 13.45 amenities fee, not sure for what, but Priceline already charged us a resort fee. This ain't no resort. They tried to charge me a $250.00 security deposit, but I refused. The security lock on the door was no existent...and a 2 inch gap for bugs to get in was unreal as well .

Yelp
I tried to book online through their website for the kama'aina (Hawaii resident rate) & it wouldn't let me. I tried calling to book through them. They told me I could do it but wouldn't get the website rate. What's up with that? That means they penalize you for something that isn't your fault.

Yelp
I've stayed in some questionable hotels and this was by far the worst. Charged $140 for one night (queen). Before you pull in you smell pot and don't worry, you'll smell it in your room too. There was a little stair party outside our room with booze and a guitar being loud past 11 on a Tuesday, something pretty common in not so good hotel areas. We didn't even have curtains lmao. Pretty sure most of the 5 star reviews on google are bots because there is absolutely no way anyone can be happy from this stay. Construction literally across from your room, hardly any parking. Checking out was hilarious because we left early and they didn't know how to process an early check out. Please stay away. The pictures catfish you.

Yelp
I was planning a trip to Honolulu and needed an affordable place to stay for the night. I read some reviews people had written about the Inn and went there with the lowest expectations. They made it sound like it was a rundown piece of property with bad service and rooms. The Inn is located in the industrial and it's kind of like a little hideaway. I checked in at 3, got to my room and thought "this is cute". It was clean, the property was nicely kept, the staff were extremely friendly and it was really quiet at night (aside from the ac; which wasn't a big issue for me). This is perfect if you're traveling for business and need a place to lay your head or staying a few nights and looking for something affordable. For me, I'd stay here again!

Yelp
If I could put zero stars, I would. We got there with our 1 y/o baby for a room for two adults. The front desk tried pushing us to upgrade to a bigger room because "technically you have three people, but we'll let it slide since you're only staying here for one night ." Even though there's two ADULTS and one infant. Continuing on, the room was awful. Grossest room we've had to stay in. We tried checking in sooner, but they wouldn't allow us to come in till 3pm because the room wasn't ready. Even though the room was still gross upon arrival. The tv wasn't working. The AC was non existent. The bathroom was disgusting. The floors weren't clean at all. The room was awfully small. Around 8:30 pm we had a strange man pounding on our door at least five times total while baby was asleep. Watching him as he proceeded to his car and left. As we left the "hotel," our car had a tow sticker on it from last night, which also left a mark on our car that we had to scrape off. Good thing we headed out, otherwise we wouldn't have our car better to spend a little extra money for a better place than stay at a crappy hotel.

Yelp
Good hotel for decent price. Clean Room with Free WiFi hookup. Very very friendly staff. FREE PARKING!!! Something you're not going to find in honolulu hotels especially by Waikiki. Airport shuttle to get to and from airport. Has a Pool a pit fire. Awesome Chinese restaurant next door. A bar on the premises which Saturday is half off signature cocktails, great for pre gaming or you can stay there n indulge in karaoke . Daily housekeeping. Excellent service would recommend and will stay again.

Yelp
If a dump and a s#!thole had a baby, it would grow up to be this place. I cannot believe I paid $178 for one night in this trap house. Oh wait, that doesn't include the "resort fee" of $14.99 which they sprung on me as I was checking in. I'd just like to know what exactly that fee covers - was it the NO air conditioning, was it the watered down foul smelling shower gel which was exactly the same as the shampoo, was it the filth on the bathroom shelf, was it the giant cockroach in the lobby....? Our Uber driver warned us this was a "Motel 5 1/2" - he was being generous.
