Pacific Resort Rarotonga

Our family stayed at the Pacific Resort between the end of Christmas 2025 including the New Year. What a fantastic place situated in Muri Beach. The staff are awesome and the snorkeling was fantastic. Great place to unwind and relax 😌. Car hire is available on site at Avis, good choice of vehicles at between $65 per day. The island has one main road around it approximately 34 or so kilometers in diameter. Would recommend hiring as it is a great way to see more, go to different restaurants and to enjoy activities. A slice of paradise ✨️ 😍.

This place is amazing, they staff are so friendly and welcoming. We stayed in room 31 with our 6 and 2 year old and it was a perfect room for us with the main living room combined with our room and the separate room for the kids. We had a balcony which great to lounge on after putting the kids to bed. The pool area was always kept clean and was great for both aged kids to have a splash and swim, you can order drinks from the pool phone to be delivered to you at the pool. Restaurant for meals and drinks was always a positive experience always having a high chair available, food was delicious and drinks always cold (when drunk fast) Our 6 year old tried kids club for a couple of hours and absolutely loved it and always wanted to go back, they have a lot of activities for the kids to do to keep them entertained. They can also stay for lunch which is billed to your room. The beach is gorgeous, a few dogs around but they are so friendly. Location wise is fantastic as not many things are too far away from the airport and very easy to spot from the road Feeding the fish at Reception, swimming and kids club was the top 3 things our 6 year old enjoyed the most at this resort. Highly recommend, thank you to all the staff who made our stay a memorable one.

Fantastic pre-Xmas break at Pacific Resort Rarotonga. Family of four with two kids (9, 11) and we all had a blast. Great pool that is really well positioned to avoid onshore sea breezes and can be used on cloudy or blustery days when the beach is less inviting. Compare this to the Nautilis down the beach where their pool faces right onto the beach and is very exposed. The beach in front of the resort is lovely and well maintained with daily raking to clear up the algae - something I did not see at some of the plus 18 resorts further up the beach. Buffet breakfast we were a bit worried that it would be cereal and toast but in reality, there was more than enough. We ordered GF french toast on two mornings - it was an ample portion. The restaurant were also good enough to cook gluten free pancakes for our kids (who need to eat GF) - we brought our own mixture from Woolies in NZ. The concierge team really made a difference as well (Zee in particular). We booked the Moana Turtle Tours (highly recommend) via concierge and all their assurances were spot on. We stayed in a family room that suited us very well. Close to the pool and with plenty of space for us all. We dined at the restaurant most evenings - there are local options close by of course but hey ho, food was good and prices reasonable enough. We walked along the beach and ate at the Nautilis as well as Zest nearby - different vibe clearly but food was on a par at both. We really liked the local touches at Pacific Resort - you definitely feel like it is somewhere the people who work there want you to have a nice time - and we did. My only gripe is the sound deadening between the rooms could be better. Advise bringing ear plugs.

Cant fault the location of the resort, middle of Muri beach. Plenty of space in the allocated room (#4) and private porch area outside. Air con and fans worked well. Best beef curry in a longtime at the onsite restaurant. Dinner menu variety was OK. Didn't eat lunch. Breakfast (continental) included in our room rate was at best average. Staff very friendly and helpful. Grounds beautifully maintained. Didn't go to the pool area - why would you when the weather and beach so great. Our room was a little tired and quite dark and unfortunately we experienced a sewage smell from time to time. Resort is within walking distance of the night markets and other bars and. restaurants.

My partner and I just returned from an amazing week in the Cook Islands. Including 4 nights at Pacific Resort Rarotonga, and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever felt more relaxed.||The story of how we got there is a bit of a dream—I was lucky enough to win a competition for a stay at the resort both Pacific Resort! Being from Australia, we’ve seen some beautiful beaches, but the Muri Lagoon is something else entirely.||The Highlights||The Unexpected Upgrade: We arrived expecting a Garden View room (which I’m sure would have been lovely), but we were absolutely blown way when Zee (Staff) he inform us that we had been upgrading to a room with direct beach access. I don’t know who was more excite by this news Zee or us. Stepping out of our door and having our toes in that white sand within seconds was pure magic. Also nice and close to Bare Foot Bar and restaurant (which we didn’t hear any noise from)||The Lagoon: The water is crystal clear and so blue it looks like a postcard. We spent hours snorkelling and using the free kayaks right out the front of the resort. The fish life is vibrant, and the water is calm and warm.||The Vibe: The resort is a family resort. We might have left the pool area for the kids to enjoy (lots fun being had with laughter and screaming). However, as a 60 year traveling with my partner the beach chair on the beach was the place for us, quiet and relaxing with great view. Plus, able to enjoyed cocktails on the beach especially at happy hour. I appreciate a resort that is upscale but not “stuffy." The staff are the heart of this place—genuine, warm, and always ready with a "Kia Orana" and a smile.||Great Location: Just a short walk to Night Markets (yummy food). Had fun catching to local bus that travels around the island which got us to everywhere we need to go.|Verdict: Whether you win a trip like we did or save up for a special occasion, this place is worth every cent. It’s a true Polynesian paradise that we won't soon forget.

We were a family group of 10, ranging in ages from 7 through to 70, and spent a week at Pacific Resort to celebrate a 70th birthday. It was our first trip to Rarotonga, and we weren't sure of what to expect. |From the outset, the trip was laid back, and extremely enjoyable, and staying at Pacific Resort was the best part of the week. We loved it, absolutely loved it.|Facilities were stunning, nothing at all was a bother, with staff being so friendly and helpful. It was like staying at home, without having to do a thing.|The location was perfect for sightseeing and we did a bit of this, but the best part was virtually everything was on your doorstep, well beach-front.|The lagoon was simply devine, safe to swim in for all, especially the littlies. There was an abundance of fish to be seen, and even a turtle or two. All within a short distance of our accommodation.|And if you wanted any water-based sight-seeing there are two companies close by that seemed to go out every day.|Nearby is the Muri Night Markets, from memory 4 nights a week. Great food, and local sellers.|We were without transport, but there is a perfectly adequate bus service which rotates the island clockwise and anti-clockwise, I think every 30 mins. We used this and got about without any problems. Saturday morning there is a market "in town", and was well worth the fare to go.|We are already planning a return to Pacific Resort.

We have been to Rarotonga 6 times now, 7 times for my Husband. We had never stayed at the Pacific before. After a very disappointing first week of our trip, over on the other side of the island, at the usual large accommodation where we would usually stay, i just want to say “THANKYOU SO MUCH” for saving our “Love for Rarotonga”. I cant tell you how much it meant for every single staff members Beautiful vibe and Smiles. For all the “Kia Orana’s” for every single detail you put into your work. You are all amazing staff members and you can see that you are all working together and are happy in your jobs. Thankyou! Thankyou! Thankyou! To Ani, the GM. You went above and beyond for us. We will never forget your Hospitality. It is Obvious your staff are well looked after and are all one united group. Your Kindness was just simply amazing. We will definitely be visiting your resort again.

First things first, the views from this resort are absolutly stunning! Best location on the island for a getaway. The food is consistantly amazing and great quality. And as for service, Zee and Noel made this stay an unforgetable experiance. And in general all of the staff are so nice and make the hotel so welcoming. I could not reccomend this place anymore!! Will 100% be coming back
