We recently celebrated my husband’s birthday at Pacifica in Napier, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Known for its innovative and fresh take on New Zealand cuisine, Pacifica delivered a tasting menu that was as exciting as it was delicious.
The standout of the evening was the venison polenta. The dish was a perfect balance of flavors and textures. It was truly a work of art on the plate, with each bite leaving us wanting more. The creativity behind this dish really showcased the chef’s mastery of combining local ingredients with a modern twist.
The hospitality at Pacifica was equally exceptional. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and their attention to detail ensured my husband’s birthday was truly special. They even brought out a little surprise for him to mark the occasion, which added a personal touch that made the night all the more memorable.
