Beautiful museum for art lovers and also to spend some time in the historical building. Restaurant available.

Unexpected exhibition, gallery, nice view from 2nd floor were all great. I highly recommend to go there.

Impressing building as well as the art exhibitions

It is a very small museum nowadays! They have a nice coffee shop inside. I love its pies. It was the place where, in 1822, the emperador Dom Pedro I told the people he would stay in Rio rather than go back to Portugal and cooperate with Portuguese revolution of 1820. This event was part of Brazilian independence. Here, the princess Isabel, in may 13th 1888, communicate the end of slavery. #Historytour
