Paco is a nice tapas restaurant in the 9th district. The vibe is a little less rustic and more modern than most of the other tapas bars i've been too. Most of the seating is on high chairs and tables and in front of the bar, but there are also a couple normal round tables available. I'd saying sitting on the barbis nice but go for a normal table if you have a group of 4 or more so that sharing is more covenient.
The food is very classic spanish and delicious. Portion sizes are not too big, except for the paella (for 2), which was pretty hefty even for 2 people. I think between us four we shared 7 dishes + the paella. The paella tends to be quite salty so we asked for less salt and it came out perfect. Remember to ask the waiter for the specials! There are usually some pretty tasty options on that menu. Some of my classic favourites are the pimientos, the gambas and chorizo tortilla. We also ordered the iberico rücken, which was a special they had- so aromatically fatty and heavenly. Their patatas bravas and tomato salad were nothing special. Sadly, their churros weren't super impressive either. We also got a fantastic bottle of rioja, which i would highky recommend: 2014 Palacio Remondo La Montesa.
Overall, a great choice for some good foods with friends and family, who like to share.
