3 Best Day Trips in Bali | Condé Nast Traveler

"Padang Padang is a small-ish beach that's the starting point to reach surf breaks, as well as a launching site for fishermen on pastel outrigger boats. The best time to come here is early in the morning, as the sun rises and before the crowds. With mounds of rocks protruding out from the smooth sand, the scenery here is lovely and dramatic. The sheltered bay makes the water perfect for a swim; you can also try your hand at surfing—there are plenty of surf schools with great instructors." - Anna Chittenden

Padang Padang Beach is beautiful with white sand, clear water, and great waves for surfing. The entrance through the rock tunnel is unique and adds to the experience. The beach is not very big and can get crowded, especially during peak season, but it’s still a great place to enjoy the view and beach vibes.

We had to go down many stairs until we reached the beach ⛱️. The stairs were very small and it was also very crowded. We didn't get the place to sit and enjoy the beach sadly. We thought we could use our towels for sitting on the beach and enjoying the sun but it was just a dream 😁🙈 because it was fully crowded. You can still bathing on the sea of course 😉!

The coastline is very calm but beach extremely crowded, and there's an entrance fee: 15,000 for foreigners adult and 10,000 for child, Bali has many beautiful beaches that are free.

The sea is clean and well maintained. It’s fairly busy, but well organized. The water is calm and suitable for swimming until sunset (though it’s not really a sunset-seeker spot).

It’s pretty only with clear skies and no people. We went there at 8AM and by 10 it was already crowded. Water is amazing, rocks are nice for pictures, a little bit of fresh everywhere on the beach, entrance fee around 15000 local money per person (cash only, and they take usd as well )

Really nice beach! It is one of the busiest beaches in Uluwatu but in our experience it wasn’t ridiculous as there was space to put your towel down and relax. The walk down to the beach is quite cool as you go through the rocks. Definitely worth going to but I would recommend taking a grab as there isn’t a car park.

Great beach with calm water and white sand. It can get crowded, but it’s worth it. You’ll be surrounded by monkeys, which is a fun surprise. Be prepared for about 100 steps down and up, your cardio for the day! Fantastic.

Beautiful beach, blue waters soft sand but overly crowded. Too many people. The way to beach is easy only about 3 min walk down few steps maybe 40. 15k each beach entrance. No monkeys in sight when we went.
