As another reviewer stated, it is very much like you are entering a speakeasy. Do not let this deter you! It is *not* a fancy place. What it *is* is a fabulous place to get a quality, delicious meal with genuine, caring and attentive service. Reservations are recommended, but we managed to grab the last 2 not reserved seats and very thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The appetizer clams are the best we've ever eaten, and we've eaten on Cape Cod, Boston, and in Maine! I love Indian food, and the Xacuti was one of the very best, most delicious dishes I've ever eaten. The house red wine is good and quite inexpensive. We only have 2 more days in Lisbon, and we will most likely be back!

Very nice restaurant, local and quiet. Prices are very good and food is typical and simple. It's in a building on the second floor, not the easiest to find but is worth it. Here you can feel the local atmosphere. Give it a try!

Great hidden local place. Very friendly. Best samosas anywhere! The pork vindalhoo and shrimp curry were delicious.

Organizes events with loud music at night

We had a really great time. We kept being told to fill our seats (friends ran a little late), but apart from that, the place had a lively atmosphere, nice food and we were even accommodated to move inside when it got a little cold outside! We will be back!

Somehow, this restaurant made the top of a Yelp sort I did. Definitely a local place with no tourists, so a unique experience for us US tourists. Enjoyed the atmosphere -- however make sure to sit in the non-smoking section. Food was average.
