We came to try the pancakes, but found it to be way more acidic and sour than we expected. It was not for our tastebuds, but the sizzling garlic prawns were amazing. They were buttery, flavorful, and delicious.

We always love coming to Padburys. Their potato hash is always good. We tried their prawn omelette crepe today for something new, but were disappointed with the Vietnamese style pancake which was rather tough. The prawn omelette was good. Hope it is just a once off since it is Christmas Eve. Still, it will be our go to place whenever we are heading to the airport.

Exciting with the way they mixed Asian and Western food for Cryspy crepe until I see Tran Group signboard, then understand why they could have this idea. You will be surprised with the sauce. A bit, enough of fish sauce has made very nice taste for salad on top as well as the crispy crepe (banh xeo- Vietnamese dish) and below omelette. Mushrooms dish also has a good taste. The Padbury tea is English breakfast tea, just by another name!!! It's good to have an outside table to enjoy end-spring sunshine. Dog friendly place. Reserved parking lots for this cafeteria are always full. You could find other parkings on the streets.

We had one of the best meals on our recent trip here at Padbury's. I had the prawn omelette and crepe. It's actually a deconstructed Vietnamese pancake, and so very delicious. I hate and cannot eat runny eggs and the cashier who took my order understood my order perfectly, I had a lot of bad experiences with egg ordering in Australian cafes such that I normally dont' even order eggs anymore there. But this was amazing and the restaurant had lovely interiors. Guildford in general is a lovely town and worth spending an afternoon.

Our group went here for a bday brekkie and it was fantastic. We did have to pay a little more because it was a public holiday but them's the breaks. The only glitch is we were waiting for table service and did not realise we had to go to the counter to order so a large amount of people who got there after us got to order before we realised. The coffee fot two of us was forgotten then brought out after the meal but again these things happen.

We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning, it was really busy. The cafe is really beautiful and all staff were great. We all had something different to eat and we all loved it. I had their famous pancakes and they were delicious, my mother in-law had the mushrooms on toast and they were also fabulous. It was a bit noisy, so hard to chat but the food was excellent, I would definitely go to Padburys cafe again 😁

Luckily we booked, we came on Sunday lunch, so busy. There is people waiting for tables outside. We had the prawn pasta, the Hash & the fish and chips. Great portion size, and nice lovely flavour. Food came quick even though they are quite busy. The only down side is the parking, although they have their own parking, we spent 15mins driving around the street because all parking are full on Sunday

Yelp
Padbury's is a quaint little cafe, well decorated with plants, unique lighting, and exposed brick. We went for breakfast, and enjoyed it. The soufflé pancakes are a clear signature, but the fresh bagel and flavorful ingredients heaped thereon, were also worth trying. No major complaints.

Yelp
Nice restaurant venue with natural light and interesting decor...lots of private parking for the restaurant patrons...each serving of the food are consistent in presentation and taste....the many service crew are very attentive and polite...overall, the food, service and price are one of the best around The Brekky Bikers will return to pillage more Bacon and Eggs

Yelp
DISGRACEFUL CHRISTMAS LUNCH - ROBBED OF HARD EARNED MONEY! WAS LOOKING FORWARD to a lovely special Christmas lunch even at the exorbitant cost. The first thing that really stood out to us was the entrance to the restaurant. Outside tables and chairs chained up all messily ... hardly very Christmassy. The entrance itself felt unwelcoming and unprofessional from the get go. ALL HOPE of a beautiful lunch was squashed after being presented with the most, disgusting gritty gluey prawn starter. It was as if it had been taken straight from the freezer, defrosted for 5 minutes and plated up. Disgusting! How could these cooks have even DARED to present this food?? The texture was a mixture of gluey mushy paste. The prawns also tasted raw and felt as if we could get food poisoning from it. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL. The mushy barramundi mains came out with potatoes so over saturated with butter they were soggy and tasteless. There was no lemon wedge to squeeze on the fish. THE LEAST a diner could expect is a lemon wedge for a high end priced fish dish in a restaurant. Even an average fish & chip shop will offer the inclusion of a lemon wedge?? THAT IS NOT IT EITHER, the disgusting mushy, tasteless barrumundi also had a hard deep fried chip like cover we even had to peel that off because it was barely edible. It was also evident there were no vegetarian or vegan options on the menu selection. Some of us would usually choose a vegan or vegetarian option though we were only prepared for amazing fish in this above average expensive restaurant. In this day and age why were there NO VEGETARIAN OPTIONS? Pathetic effort from Padburys restaurant this Christmas, cramming in as many people as possible to get their money. I didn't want to cause a fuss at the table, and I hope we don't become sick from the food. Expected so much more from a restaurant with a 4 star rating! Who was working in the kitchen? NOT A CHEF WHO TOOK PRIDE in the meals he or she served up to people paying hundreds of dollars!?? You've GOT TO BE JOKING!?? Padbury's Restaurant have now lost customers. This was not our first visit there but it will be our last.

Yelp
I'm only giving this cafe 2 stars because of the very slow food service we received. The wait staff were prompt to take our order but it took 75 minutes to get our food. Went in for breakfast and ended up having lunch. Because it was Tuesday, 28 December, 2021 I understand that they would be busy, which they were, but to serve 3 plates of toast with avacado, bacon and a couple of toppings, shouldn't take that long.

Yelp
Great food...... Great wine and beer selection (gotta have the Feral Hop Hog - my fav Western Australian beer)........ Good service........ Very friendly staff.......... Great ambience.......... Prices are on the higher end but the food lives up to your expectations for the price...... While looking for somewhere different for dinner we popped into the Padbury's Cafe Restaurant after doing a drive by. The decor in my opinion is french, vintage fitting in with the charm of the Guildford Township. Nice menu without too many choices but a good selection with a great accompaniment of wines and beers to suit. No desert for us tonight the mains and a garlic bread to start left us very satisfied. The other half had the crispy skinned pork belly while I had the eye fillet. Both were cooked to perfection with excellent sides and sauces. It is nice to order a meal and not have to order additional sides like vegetables etc. to go with your meal. We will be back to sample more of the mains and even quite possibly try the brunch menu very soon.

Yelp
I have been here a few times for breakfast over the last couple of months with large groups. And I have to say that it's not often, if ever! that everyone's meal is absolutely perfect! And the service is friendly and attentive every visit. Padbury's has become a firm favourite and I highly recommend that you book a table and enjoy what they have to offer soon

Yelp
a lovely restaurant in a beautiful suburb!! i ordered the meringue pancakes and my mother ordered the magic mushrooms, and i have to say, both dishes looked absolutely stunning. unfortunately, the pancakes had too much meringue so they were a little too sweet but otherwise both meals were delicious :) it was a little bit pricey! roughly $22 for each meal, but it was worth it. overall, we had a good time and it's a nice restaurant worth a visit.

Yelp
We keep hitting the jackpot with restaurant choices! We decided to go here just by driving past leaving another place. We had a late breakfast. First I will say that this restaurant is really beautiful. The bay windows are stunning and the street reminds me of being in England. Quaint. Welcoming. We all ordered from the breakfast menu and had fresh squeezed juices which were delicious. 2 of us had the big breakfasts and 2 had eggs benedict. Well made and tasty. Food was out in no time and service was great. I will definitely be going back to try the dinner menu

Yelp
Padburys, on the corner of Swan Street and Terrace Road, is housed in the historic Padbury House, with seating inside in a large warehouse type space and some tables outside on the footpath where they have recently installed new screens to separate the seats from the street. While I was away last week Lady FWO took herself along to Padburys for lunch; her recounting of her experience forms the basis for this review. (Unlike some reviewers I wish to make it clear that I wasn't actually there!) The breakfast and lunch menu covers the usual suspects in relation to breakfast - eggs various ways, bacon, beans, hash, mushrooms, pancakes, banana bread, while the lunch dishes include steak sandwiches, fish and chips, garlic prawns, calamari and Lady FWO's choice - Tiger Prawn Gamberi. Linguini, with a tomato sauce, was topped with scattered prawns - a couple in the shell, a half dozen cooked with tail only - a dice of tomato, a few capers, chilli and garlic completed the meal. The pasta was well cooked, al dente style, the sauce clinging nicely to the strands, and similarly the prawns retained a pleasing firmness to the bite. The dish comes in three heat ranges -mild, medium, hot - and while medium was requested the chilli component was largely lacking - needed a bit more zip and zing to give it the wow factor, Lady FWO thought. With her meal Lady FWO sipped on a glass of West Cape Howe Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and one of Mrs Wrigley Grenache rosé. The wine list is small but lists a number of WA and local wines. The white had lifted gooseberry and citrus aromas, while the palate exhibited tropical and stone fruit elements; it was crisp and elegant. The rosé, an old favourite, showed its characteristic strawberry and raspberry bouquet, with fine acid on the palate boosting the crisp raspberry and cranberry flavours; pleasantly dry and refreshing. Padbury's turns out good, middle of the road comfort food using quality ingredients, has a nice ambience, and is friendly and welcoming. A more innovative menu would boost its attraction I think, but they seem to know their target clientele.

Yelp
Quite a big gourmet cafe in Guildford, great food. I thought the seafood Aranchini balls were exquisite and the pork belly looked impressive. My open scotch sandwich was quite good, big and interesting to mix cheese and bacon.

Yelp
Whenever I venture into Guildford I tend to revisit the same places. Tonight I decided to try somewhere different and had dinner at Padbury's. I'm so glad I did because the food was delicious! We had the garlic bread for starters which was garlicky and crunchy followed by the lamb rack and eye fillet steak. I rarely order lamb but it was on the specials board and sounded good. I wasn't disappointed - it was tender and flavoursome and was accompanied with mash, a veggie stack, red wine jus and sweet potato chips. My hubby's steak was cooked like he wanted, very rare, and was accompanied by mash, red wine jus, sweet potato chips and brocollini. I can't really fault the food but if I had to be picky I'd say there was a slight lack of seasoning. But all in all I was very impressed! Little on the pricey side but I don't mind paying for high quality ingredients.

Yelp
What a fantastic find. The decor is awesome and the staff are very friendly. Fresh and unique menu with something for everyone. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun meal. Parking is above average for the area.

Yelp
We went during the week, and it was fairly quiet. We actually arrived about 45 minutes prior to the time I booked. When I called up to ask if we could come earlier, the staff member on the phone was so pleasant and likewise when we entered the restaurant she was equally as pleasant. The restaurant has that warehouse type feel; high ceilings, some brick walls and it is decorated with vintage, antique pieces. It's actually very funky! We were seated in one of the window seats which I wasn't too keen on to start with as it's like a window box and therefore everyone walking by looks at you like you're a puppy on show. Thank-fully Guildford isn't that busy so we weren't glared at, at all! The menu, as expected was pretty straight forward. In a way I do like small menus as obviously they have worked out what their signature dishes are and hopefully they know how to do them well! The wine list was similar. It was nice to see a mix of Australian wines (a few Swan Valley ones on there which was good) as well as a couple of New Zealand wines too. You can also BYO your own wine which is good to know for the future! We decided to go local and opted for a bottle of the Olive Farm Brut for $28 which I thought was very reasonable. Bottle prices ranged from $28 up to $45 and glass prices from $7 up to $8.50 which is pretty good. However the crown cap on the bottle of Olive Farm bubbles did confuse the waitress and I have no idea how she did it but when she tried to remove the cap she broke some of the glass off the top of the bottle. Without hesitation she went and got another new bottle. Which is good, no one wants to drink shards of glass! It was actually this incident which made me pop in a section on how to open bubbles with crown caps on my guest post for the Perth Champagne Club. Mr. Spittoon and I were both dying for a good steak so we both ordered the; Char grill Harvey Beef served with potato mash, green beans, brocolini, mushroom ragout, crispy sweet potato and red wine jus for $39, it didn't disappoint and knowing that we were getting one of the plates free with our Entertainment voucher, really sweetened the deal. Yelp
Very sweet little Cafe. Yummy cakes, great view down Guildford road. Went there with friends a few times.

Yelp
We arrived for lunch to find it closed at 2pm with the waitress telling us they were not taking walk-ins after 2pm. Her words.

Yelp
I flew back from Kalgoorlie on a work trip and on the way home my husband and I decided to grab dinner out. We drove around Guilford and came across Padbury's Cafe Restaurant. What a delightful place. The staff were attentive. The food was divine. So flavoursome and enjoyable. I had the Pork Belly and it was exquisite while he had the Eye Fillet, cooked to perfection. Can't wait to try this place for a lunch or morning/afternoon tea. Definitely a place to return to. Don't worry about parking. Next door to the restaurant is off street parking. What a bonus!

Yelp
Been here twice. Always exceptional. The place has a great feel to it - not too crowded and intimate enough that you can have a conversation. I'm not a vegetarian and often avoid vegetarian meals on menus. However, they have a few vegetarian dishes that taste amazing - Field mushroom entree and the risotto for mains. However, if you are adverse to meat, you might want to avoid looking at the entree menu - first time I have ever dined somewhere that had brains on the menu! I had the meat of the day from the blackboard menu (lamb) and I loved it. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. Would go back again and again - they certainly deserve the awards that adorn the walls.

Yelp
Went here with the in-laws on a busy Saturday. The staff were very attentive however, and our food came out very quickly. HUGE serves, and the chicken pasta dish I had was cooked perfectly (important since I'm pregnant!) and delicious. Unfortunately couldn't finish it all, but got to take it home for lunch at work the next day. All in all a great experience in a nice cozy setting.
