Slightly off the main beach strip... Great food, good prices, friendly staff. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. It is a casual pub atmosphere, not fine dining. Has a patio at the front and back. Lots of great options on the menu. All food we had was delicious. Salad, club sandwich, butter chicken, fries

Super cute restaurant located five minutes away from the main strip. The food was amazing! We ordered the penne pasta and pickerel both were great. Our server was absolutely fantastic, I don’t remember her name unfortunately but her service was 10/10. Will defiantly be back and would recommend to stop by and eat at.

Great Food and Atmosphere! My husband and I had a great dining experience at Paddington’s. The place is small and quaint with a cozy, welcoming vibe. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. We had the fish and chips, which were excellent – crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fun atmosphere added to the experience. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, tasty meal!

This is such a great place to dine in the lovely town of Grand Bend. We went to have an early dinner during a long weekend.Their great menu is the reason we chose this place with plenty of shareable options, appetizers, wraps, pastas and sides.we were greeted by the host/server who was really nice and attentive. We ordered English style fish and chips accompanied by curry sauce as an extra side, and south western style grilled chicken wrap with coleslaw. The quantity of both the dishes were a lot for both of us to finish. Everything tasted so delicious, flavors balanced to perfection, ingredients were fresh and the house special curry sauce was out of this world . You have the option of replacing the default sides with other sides in the menu(prices may or may not apply). For the beverages we ordered the IPA and brown ale, which were good too. If not for the natural beauty of Grand bend, the Paddington pub is surely a reason to visit the town. Thank you for the great service.

Everything was excellent. Food definitely made from scratch and with high quality ingredients. The hot cheese dip was so good. The burger was delicious and my wife had the pear and candied walnut salad. So nice to find a quality restaurant in Grand Bend.

Stopped in here on a whim today as we were just driving by. Usually I have these things pre planned but today I walked in with zero expectations. We were just leaving the beach & had a group of 11. So I wasn’t expecting to get in anywhere without a reservation. But the back patio was wide open & fit us all! The staff was all so amazing. I can’t say enough about our waitress either. She was dynamite! The food took about 40 min. Which was absolutely understandable. We were a big group on a random Monday so they were doing their best. All of our food was piping hot & the portions were great!! They had a lot of unique items to choose from as well. We started with the cheese dip. It was served with garlic naan and it was huge hit with everyone! I would recommend ordering extra naan with it tho. For the main I went with the fried haddock & basmati rice. It was so delicious! Highly recommend. My husband had the Buffalo wrap which was also amazing. They didn’t use franks hot sauce & so many places do! So it was a nice change. Our son went with the chicken finger meal & it was a ton of food! Pretty standard meal but the portion was great. Overall it was a wonderful experience & definitely recommend checking out this little gem if you’re in the area.

Yelp
Good food in a very cozy, home-like setting. After a hot day hiking at Pinery, a cool salad sounded good to my wife and me, so, we ordered the taco salad--basic mixed greens with corn, black beans, onions, bell pepper & cheese in a fried tortilla bowl. We swapped ranch dressing for the standard sour cream on the side, though we kept the salsa. I got chicken on mine and my wife got a side of guacamole. And they were excellent! All the veggies were fresh, my chicken was tender, and my wife liked her guac. The fried tortilla bowl wasn't greasy in the least (it was obviously a fresh-fried flour tortilla, not a prefab corn chip-ish one). I think better than half the orders we saw passing by us were fish and chips, which looked wonderful. My wife opined that it looks like this place knows how to do fried foods. Nice beer selection with several good Ontario brews on tap. We ordered a hazy IPA and enjoyed it. Service was attentive and personable. We definitely want to return to Grand Bend--and Paddington's.

Yelp
Went this afternoon ordered liver and onions with mashed potatoes. Liver was over cooked the consistency of shoe leather mash Luke warm. Worst cooking of have seen for years.paid and left not going back or recommending this place .

Yelp
Such an amazing spot to relax after walking around in the sun. The food was top notch and so was the service. I got the fish and chips with the curry sauce, it was wonderful.

Yelp
Love this wonderful spot. Friendly staff great food and love the curry!!! Fish and chips are the best I've had outside of the UK. Great patio and nice inside when you need a break from the sun.

Yelp
We try out fish and chips everywhere we go. As we are English we are picky. This was easily the best haddock and chips we've had in Canada in 30 years of living here. Portions were huge but it was so good I finished it and then walked it off! Server was lovely. Rest of menu looked great. Very reasonable prices. If the weather had been nicer we'd have eaten outside. The little area at the front inside definitely needs decorating. It's clean enough but a little beyond rustic. I have not reduced my 5 star rating for this because it's the food that counts, but if the interior were livened up a bit this place would be unbeatable.

Yelp
Called to see what time their kitchen was open until. After arriving to their pot hole riddled parking lot and guiding my elderly guest up the stairs that have no railings I w we as told the kitchen closes at 8:45 on Saturday, meanwhile I was told on the phone it was 9:45 on Saturdays. Server said we have five minutes to order only to come back and tell us that kitchen was already closed for the night. Save you time and money for a better place that is deserving

Yelp
Must try curry menu or curry sauce for fries! I didn't expect that I can meet such a nice curry in that kind of pub. (I mean, it doesn't look like Indian restaurant at all.) I had Fish and Chips with signature curry sauce. It was amazing! Curry sauce was really good, so I took the rest of it home and had it with toast bread. Today's soup with tomato, chicken, corn, and cheese was also warm and good. The atmosphere was a bit distracted because there were so many regular customers who were intimate with the waiters and the owner. However, the service was nice and the washroom was clean, too!

Yelp
Good food and portions Fair prices Ample parking Cramped inside ABYSIMAL AND INCOMPATANT SERVER Our server took our drink orders and made some saracastic remarks about me not seeing the drink list (I saw it but didnt want booze) we also decided to give her dinner orders as well to save time as we had a play in 1.5 hrs which we told her She then forgot to bring our drinks for 20 or more mins we got our apps and had to ask the other waitress delivering them for our drinks She screwed up my app order i asked for a rasp vinergerette dressing on a 15 buck salad not the normal balsamic when the other waitress brought it out i noticed the dressing was balsamic which is much darker I pointed it out to the server she argued with me told me it was right So i tasted it I was correct it was balsamic she then corrected it Then the mains arrive pretty late but im trying to cut em slack as its a sat night 2 of 4 mains wrong 1 minor issue which we fixed ourselves some things ended up on wrong plates The other one was a request for onion gravy not mushrooms which was not honoured Funny note I said to my sister in law judging from the way this is going she was getting the mushroom gravy she dreaded before it happened sadly prediction came true So my sister in law pointed the mushrooms she hates all over her main course out to the waitress politely her response was something to the effect she ordered it right and the kitchen cant read Rather then take it back or ask how to make it right She basically shrugged her shoulders did nothing and left She didnt come back at all after that to ask if we needed something or get us another drink and to this point we had all been polite and tolerant she had no reason to ignore it We finished ask for our bills and for a container for my wifes fish She came back with bills not even close to correct and no container for fish We then straightened out the bill with her and AGAIN asked for the container she forgot for my wifes fish We now had 10 mins to get to the play b4 it started So she came back again with the bills and STILL NO DAMN LEFT OVER CONTAINER The place could be pretty good and if the service was even mediocre id go back as we all liked the food But all 4 of us were shocked at the level of bad service May have been a one off may be the norm i dont know Normally i would have spoken to a manager or owner but i got to the play with mins to spare and didnt have the time.

Yelp
Usual great value in this beach seaside town on Lake Huron Burger with Caesar Salad was great my wife had chicken pot pie with a golden dome of flakey crust Great beer selection and wine too Front fenced patio was open this Saturday afternoon A bit windy but beverage management makes it moot and enjoyable highway side experience Soup of the day and great steak and crab crust feature Looked great too BBack soon October 21 revisit for dinner , massive serving of bacon wrapped meatloaf , tonight with fries and I asked for a small bowl of the curry sauce used on fries and Currie dishes . And it came with Asparagus too . So good !

Yelp
Sunday afternoon long wait for food and order I could only see one server. Experience most other blogger saying the same about wait time I guess it is true that you may expect to wait for food. The house's half full. My table next to me their drink already dry out for 10 min. I wonder if its the bad managment or the sever not able to cob. I can't understand why such high review on both food and services (fake?). But I have to give credit to good draft beer that have. It is a nice cozy pub for a good drinks with friends but food sorry no star. With so many new choices around , will I return ... defiantly not!

Yelp
Excellent food. I was surprised at the quality. I had a Buffalo wrap and my wife had a pear walnut salad. Despite my meal being what you might say is standard bar fare, the food was very good and not typical. My wife also really liked her salad.

Yelp
Most everything on the menu is made from scratch. Love their fish and chips, along with the wings and oh about 15 other items! Great service with a authentic pub feel atmosphere. Whenever in Grand Bend, this is one of our favorite places to eat.

Yelp
First timers today for dinner and WOW! We were a large party and showed up early for our reservation (ouch..i know..we're Those People). The two servers handled it with aplomb and seated us right away. The place is tiny but it was packed... even the bar. You could tell this is a favourite of the locals and the vibe was so mellow and friendly. Mondays are Mexican Mondays and their DEELISHUS Sangria was only $5!! And soooo good. Light and with massive amounts of fruit. Our server was so sweet and there were only 2 girls on the floor and bar but they were amazing. Fast and 100% on it. Food was also super yummy and each of us had a different dish from the fish tacos to salads to chicken fingers and lots of apps.... nothing was a let down. If you're in the Bend make sure you stop in here. Nothing fancy just really great food and service is top notch.

Yelp
Kind of a dumpy atmosphere. However they're food wasn't too bad. My boyfriend ordered a fish sandwich with fries and it seems that the Canadians make their fries fresh which is not only awesome but they taste great! They put vinegar on them too which isn't bad tasting at all. Canadians are a little bit more slow at service I've learned, but that's just me being American expecting a cold beer ASAP. They have a small selection of beers however to my surprise they did have IPA. I was also upset by the fact that they meat up my request to have more broth less bread and onions in my order of French onion soup. Despite that, the soup was still tasty and one of the servers professionally handled their mistake. There are nicer places to go if you're in the area. They sometimes have live music deeming average.

Yelp
Don't bother coming to this hole in the wall pub. After waiting in a disorganized line, we were seated outside on a rainy day without option before 7. The back patio was FULL of biting flies that the staff made no effort to eradicate, save for a fly swatter on the fence. Us and the table beside were seated at the same time. We waited and waited, until finally someone from the other table had to go in and get a waitress to take our drink orders. By then we were all ready, so both tables put in their orders (2 salads, a pasta and one app). After another extensive wait and a visit inside the other table's apps finally came. Our one app did not show up until half an hour later! Then, it took a literal hour and a half for our actual food to arrive. As we waited, nearly the whole restaurant cleared out!! No apologies, no mention of what happened or any attempt to make it right. The table next to us finished long before our food had arrived . When our food finally did arrive, it was less than stellar and DEFINITELY not worth the wait. The $6 shrimp addition on the pasta was tough and gummy (tails on) while the taco salads were clearly from a can and a bag. The meal with tip came to over $70, and the only redeeming feature was the waitress. Even still, our bill and the payment machine took another 20 minutes to show!! Bullshit and utterly horrible experience.

Yelp
I've been to Paddingtons a few times now and I'm really liking everything about it. They have a good selection of interesting beers on tap, and they have a huge variety of English pub-style dishes for a reasonable price. The owners/bartenders/servers are all super friendly and nice, which makes it just an awesome place to hang out. I really like the burger, it's a huge monster of a patty that you can be topped with almost anything including a fried egg. Just beware; it can get too big to fit neatly into your mouth. Apparently once a month they have a beef rib special which is just a ridiculous amount of food and super yummy. I haven't tried it, only heard legends about it, but I definitely want to check it out some time. The only thing about Paddingtons is that sometimes when it's busy it takes awhile for the food to come out, so if you're in a rush you might want to ask first how long it will be. They are pretty good about warning you if it's going to be awhile though.

Yelp
Great little English Pub. 50 kinds of Beer for the beer club, over 20 wines, what's not to like? Owner Jen Gaukroger goes out of her way to make you feel welcome, and you'll often find her either behind the bar, or in the kitchen. Jen's always on her game dreaming up new events, such as the annual Halloween party, little black dress nights, afternoon tea, beer and wine tastings, winter carnival, just to name a few. Not to mention her many charity events. Great food, good company. Cheers Paddies!

Yelp
Love this pub in Grand Bend and make sure to come by at least once during our vacation. The food is nice, the atmosphere is authentic and very friendly. This is NOT a tourist trap. It's a wonderful place to come and meet some of the locals and just hang out.

Yelp
Used to be a great place; now the food is hit or miss, the service is very slow, and for the price, there are better choices around.

Yelp
Our hands down favorite place when we visit Grand Bend. Very small, quaint pub with homemade entrees. We've tried the chicken pot pie, Shepard's pie, fish and chips, lasagna, burger, pasta Alfredo, chicken wings and Caesar salad and would recommend all. The appetizer Brie cheese is amazing! Portions are large. Yes, there can be a little wait for the food but it is worth it. Definitely call for a reservation as it fills up quickly.

Darius P.

Yelp
Great little restaurant in Grand Bend. Food is amazing, huge portions with reasonable prices. Service was also good. Would recommend reservations as the restaurant is very small. Fantastic dinner choice when we visited Grand Bend.

Yelp
This place was fantastic! We stopped while on a day-trip to Grand Bend. Don't be deterred by the appearance of the outside! Our party had the burgers, fish & chips, shepherds pie, chicken pot pie, coconut shrimp wrap and the special of the day (a jalapeño cod cake over a marinara sauce). Each dish was EXCELLENT! Ingredients were fresh, hot and beautifully presented. Service was excellent. What a great find!

Yelp
great place to check out for food or drinks in the small British theme Pub on the highway 21 in The Bend. enjoy the daily specials , amazing quantity BUT also quality of good food served with visual appeal, Thursday nights its a deal on fish and chips , buy 1 get second free or half price ? coldest beer in Grand Bend, great selection of beer and wine and awesome waitress staff always , liver and onions with real bacon is great, pan fried pickerel when available is great too, deserts are limited but then they fill you up on mains and beverages so missing a crème broulle is not the worst thing that could happen to you in Grand Bend

Heather S.

Yelp
In the beginning it was good food but the service sucks. Girls are too busy chatting and playing with their phones. Not a care in the world if there is anything you need. Better get new staffing if you want me to come back. An average dinner for 2 we drop $70 and over. I'd rather spend it on groceries and cook at home. Paint is more fun to watch dry.

Yelp
Just got a place in Grand Bend, and this has become a favorite spot for a good meal. Good cozy atmosphere and great food. Plus they have Somersby cider on tap which is a new fav. Awesome sheppards pie, and great penne. Lots of other good stuff too. Looking forward to waiting out the winter on one of their bar stools Haha.
