Good food in a very cozy, home-like setting. After a hot day hiking at Pinery, a cool salad sounded good to my wife and me, so, we ordered the taco salad--basic mixed greens with corn, black beans, onions, bell pepper & cheese in a fried tortilla bowl. We swapped ranch dressing for the standard sour cream on the side, though we kept the salsa. I got chicken on mine and my wife got a side of guacamole. And they were excellent! All the veggies were fresh, my chicken was tender, and my wife liked her guac. The fried tortilla bowl wasn't greasy in the least (it was obviously a fresh-fried flour tortilla, not a prefab corn chip-ish one).
I think better than half the orders we saw passing by us were fish and chips, which looked wonderful. My wife opined that it looks like this place knows how to do fried foods.
Nice beer selection with several good Ontario brews on tap. We ordered a hazy IPA and enjoyed it. Service was attentive and personable.
We definitely want to return to Grand Bend--and Paddington's.
