Paddle Richmond: SUP & Kayak in London

I had a great experience with Peter last weekend! It was my first time, and I was really nervous, but he made me feel comfortable and confident. I didn’t fall once! Peter is a fantastic instructor…he was patient, supportive, and made everything feel so easy, even though I felt unstable and unsure at first. I can’t wait to come back!

We had an absolutely fantastic time out on the Thames with Paddle Richmond! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, enjoyable, and so memorable. A huge thank you to Nigel, our paddle expert for the day — he was absolutely brilliant! Nigel was incredibly informative and friendly, and it was clear he knew the river like the back of his hand. He shared so much valuable knowledge with us, not just about paddle boarding, but also about water safety and the rules of the river. His calm and confident approach made us feel really safe the entire time. What stood out most was how much confidence we gained from the session. We came away with a much deeper understanding and a real sense of achievement. Whether you’re new to paddle boarding or just want to explore the Thames with expert guidance, I couldn’t recommend Paddle Richmond more highly. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic time paddling with Peter last week! All credit to him as an instructor, we were a mixed-ability group and he made sure to give us all useful instruction appropriate for our level and experience. It was an amazing couple of hours on the water, and very easy to book and attend. Highly recommend.

While on the river he shared many important technical tips, fascinating river facts and entertaining stories. It really was a highlight of my trip to London. Nigel and Harry made it an unforgettable experience, they made sure we were good and ready before heading out. The equipment is top-notch, and the views along the Thames are amazing. Thank you Paddle Richmond for the fantastic introduction to paddle boarding. I never done it before and expected to end up in the water but had very enjoyable trip all the way from Teddington lock to Kingston and back. I was lucky to have Sheena as my instructor. Her clear guidance and careful supervision helped to feel confident and relaxed.
