Is It Wrong to Give a Negative Airbnb Review Right Now?

Don't stay in B&B's often but this was well worth it. Excellent and friendly hosts. Very nice rooms each with it's own theme. Delicious breakfasts. Quiet. Will stay again if we ever come back to Dublin GA

Truly enjoyed our stay! My husband and I were offered a private romantic candlelight dinner in the parlor soon after we arrived. The food and presentation were excellent! Breakfast the next morning was superb. The room was quiet, well appointed, beautifully decorated, comfortable bed. We came home and have been telling our friends and family how great The Page House is. Highly recommend.

Labor Day weekend - me and my husband stayed at the Page House B & B for a quiet weekend trip away. We have never stayed at a B & B so were not sure what to expect. I just had to write a review, which I don't normally do reviews, but had to share our experience. We Loved It as you can see I gave them 5 stars. The owners was so friendly, we stayed on the 1st floor which concerned me because I just knew we would hear everyone above us walking all night. We heard nothing it was so quiet, felt good to wake up to breakfast bacon cooking the breakfast was awesome. Now my husband was upset the entire drive there, because he didn't want to go. He loved it and he wants to go back. If you ever want to be around nice people, have a quiet weekend to just get away, great food and just be at peace, please make reservations, you will NOT be disappointed. AGAIN - we loved our stay and will be going again real soon! Annette & Greg Jones

Excellent location at the downtown area. Absolutely beautiful decor. Service was excellent throughout. Rooms have need amenities like individual Keurig machines, sound machines, sitting areas. Some have dining areas and bigger refrigerators but there is a microwave in refrigerator in each room. Breakfast was outstanding. They have a tapas menu from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and serve drinks until 9:00 p.m.

My husband and I were very excited to book a room here as a stop on our way to St. Simons. My husband loves bed and breakfasts so we were looking forward to trying this one out! We were going to book The Lovett Suite online (the only room left) but I noticed on the booking part of their website that the policy says the Page House charges $50 dollars a night for children aged 0-11. It includes breakfast for the next morning, and then an optional $40 additional for a trundle bed. We would have been happy to pay the charge, but our child would not be able to eat the breakfast so I called to ask them if we would be charged the $50 (our son is only 2 months old and we would be bringing a pack and play for him, and obviously feed him ourselves). I was SHOCKED and appalled at how the receptionist that answered the phone responded to me. Based on their written policy in bookings, they accept children 0-11. However, when I asked her if we would need to pay the additional $50 for his “breakfast” she told me that they don’t take infants because they cry and it’s a house and he would “disturb other guests”. When I mentioned the written policy I read before calling, and told her how shocked I was that we would not be welcomed to book with them, she responded in saying they take small children, which apparently doesn’t include my baby. And apparently small children are less disruptive (?) than an infant who sleeps all the time. She then said she didn’t want to argue with me but infants cry too much. I realize infants cry, but so do 6 year olds. I mentioned that it seemed very discriminatory that we would not be welcomed to stay there because our son is a certain age, and she again said that they disturb people. She said they were really booked that weekend and didn’t want other guests to be disturbed by our family. I told her we wouldn’t be staying there so it’s fine, and she said “whatever” and abruptly hung up the phone. I’m very glad I called to ask as it would have been such a disappointment to spend so much money on a fun place to stay only to experience unwelcome and a lack of hospitality towards our family upon arrival, simply because our child is younger. I understand establishments having certain limitations on who they can accommodate, and that not all places are welcoming to children. However, if that’s your policy and you’re not actually family friendly, this needs to be stated in your booking policy, as well as on your website very blatantly. “Adults only” or “not family friendly” would be an appropriate categorization for this B and B, as well as less than hospitable and elegant customer service, unwelcoming, and rude. (Which I would have known had I read the business’ responses to bad reviews on trip advisor before I looked into booking- very combative, defensive, and accusatory). Not a fan, and would not recommend staying here based on customer service/dishonest policy.

Page House is a wonderful B&B in the heart of the quaint town of Dublin, GA. If you enjoy getting off the beaten path (as in straying a few minutes from the interstate), and you appreciate the B&B vibe and hospitality, the Page House will not disappoint you. Page House is hosted by a delightful couple (Johann and Mono) who make you feel welcomed and at home the moment you arrive. They serve breakfast (of course), but also have a dinner menu. Everything has a personal touch, for example Chef Mono prepares the meals and they both serve. It was a delightfully different experience, pleasant and relaxing. The house is gorgeous and the rooms well appointed and very comfortable, the antique decor evoking a nostalgic ride down memory lane. We enjoyed the room with the balcony that allowed us to relax and enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee outdoors just outside our room. We are overjoyed to have discovered Page House, we will return whenever we are in town visiting our family. You might spend a few dollars more than the interstate chain hotels... but after you arrive, slow down, relax, enjoy delicious food, and good conversation - you will leave with only good memories and zero regrets.

Went for a romantic one night getaway & it was sooooo worth it, so relaxing. Stayed in the Lovette suite & it was worth every penny, bigger then what I expected. Loved having breakfast being brought up to us in the morning. Also did dinner in the private parlor the night before & it was great. Service was excellent as well. The only suggestion I have is in the future, doing separate temp controls, (whether an actually unit or central). If one wanted to adjust the temp, you would have to notify the inn keepers which is fine, however if the whole place were to be booked @ once & if one couple likes it cooler or warmer then the other, it could get uncomfortble. Over all defiantly a permanent get away place for me & hubby!!!!

Yelp
Lovely house. The bed was comfortable, the bath towels were soft and fluffy and breakfast was delicious. There is also a salon right next to the property if you end up needing some grooming. Enjoyed my first BNB stay.

Yelp
Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Room was large and comfortable with great linens and good amenities. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. If you are in the area and in need of lodging, I would highly recommend. Good value for the cost.

Yelp
My significant other and I booked a room at the Page House because there were no other rooms available anywhere in that area. (I believe there was a big event in town that weekend.) We're in sort of a long distance relationship due to work so sometimes instead of one driving all the way in one direction, we like to meet up to keep things fresh and fun. I could go into details about our stay but overall I must say, it makes me smile every time I think about our stay at the Page House. The owners were very accommodating and kind. Our room was perfect. And the breakfast was splendid. I would say that it is a must if you're in the area and have the time to stay at the Page House.

Yelp
A stately old home in an area full of beautiful old houses, mostly professional business offices now. Quiet, set back from a busy road. Could hear a train whistle off in the distance. Beautiful interior and rooms. Good breakfast and interesting hosts. Great price, and so much more fun than staying at chain hotel.

Yelp
We booked a night in this fantastic B&B with complete freedom of the manor the stay was unforgettable. The breakfast was all you can expect from a five star hotel. I recommend spending an evening in this luxurious mansion
