Pai Canyon

Absolutely stunning. Great views. Fun trails to hike. Quick and easy, could be a bit challenging if you’re not a big hiker. Have to scramble a little but it was fun. Sunset gets super, super crossed. Feels like the whole town (young backpackers) swarm for the sunset.

Pai Canyon is an amazing viewpoint with dramatic ridges and beautiful valley views, especially in the late afternoon light. However, at sunset it gets extremely crowded with tourists, and unfortunately some visitors don’t behave respectfully (loud music, pushing for photos, ignoring safety). If you want a calmer experience, go earlier in the day or closer to sunrise. The trails are narrow with steep drops, so good shoes and extra caution are important.

When you arrive there's a place where you donate 1baht to keep the park clean. There is no entrance fee though. The park is really beautiful with lovely views but we were a bit disappointed that there wasn't any signs for the path routes. Probably you just pick one and find yourself around ahaha. There are slippery parts and some are a bit on the edge so be mindful of that. There is also a cafe located inside where you have to walk not that far.

Beautiful place. Amazing view. Free for entrance but they expect you to pay a few bahts for keeping the place clean. Some paths are very narrow with slippery sand that is close to the edge. Pretty sure there are many accidents in the site because it looks so dangerous

One of Pai’s unique attractions, we stopped by here upon arriving from Ban Rak Thai. Although the weather was extremely hot, the visit was well worth it. The naturally formed canyon has a very distinctive texture, unlike anything we’ve seen at other attractions in Thailand. Entrance is free, with plenty of parking available at the entrance. Do check out the stall selling sweet corn and coconut—both were exceptionally sweet and refreshing.

Definitely a must visit spot. Went for sunset which was quite busy. I had the misfortune of crashing my drone so the next day I went back to retrieve it as it fell in the canyon whilst landing. It was really nice and peaceful at that time of day. The biggest rating goes to the park rangers who retreived the drone for me. Honestly I couldnt thank them enough for their professionalism and help.

A beautiful natural place with a nice views and an impressive canyon itself. There is a small parking area and the entrance fee is symbolic - from 1 baht for territory maintenance. After the parking area there is a small uphill walk about 5–10 minutes to reach the canyon. It’s a great place to walk, relax, and enjoy nature. In late December and early January, there was fog in the mornings until around 10 a.m., so sunset views are possible, but sunrise is unlikely. Very scenic, highly recommended. At the end of the trail, on the right side, there is a cozy cafe with a view of the valley.
