Paint the Town

We had an overall good experience at Paint the Town. The front desk staff greeting us friendly. However, it was our first time and we didn’t receive any instructions at all. We just walked in and picked the cups we wanted and get started. As beginners, we would have really appreciated some basic guidance, such as an introduction to the tools available, simple painting techniques, or helpful tips and tricks to get better results. A short orientation would make a big difference for first-time visitors. Overall, it was still a fun experience, but clearer instructions would improve it even more.

Had a great time at Paint the Town in the U District! Super fun, relaxing atmosphere – perfect for a creative outing with friends or just some solo chill time. They have a wide variety of ceramics to choose from, and the staff is super helpful if you’re new to painting. Loved the whole experience, and it’s so cool to leave with something you made yourself. Definitely recommend for a fun, artsy day!

We celebrated our daughter's birthday at Paint the Twon and we all loved it! Crew is awesome and laid back. They have lots of items to choose from. I would highly recommend this place either for a party, or if you feel like being creative 😁

I love coming here! Such a fun group, date or friend event. You can easily spend a couple of hours here. The glazing and finishing is done so well and staff is always friendly. Sometimes it can get busy and you'll be placed on a waitlist but you're at the mall so there is plenty to do while you wait.

such a crafty activity! you can visit with your friends or with children. There are many potteries to choose from, and various colors with no limitations. You can spend as long as you want inside and paint however you wish. The employees are friendly and nice, always helping you. Definitely worth a visit. Most potteries are done in a single visit, yet if you can always revisit.

We LOVE Paint the Town and go all the time. The prices are comparable or better to other ceramic painting places and you can use an unlimited number of colors when painting in the studio. There are a wide variety of options to paint and they range in price from about $10-60 for the larger projects. Depending on when you go, space may be limited but you can paint outside if it’s nice out. There can be a lot of kids, but the staff manages the space well and you can usually find a chill and quiet spot to work on your creation. They have multiple shades of every color in the rainbow and a variety of tools to help you paint ranging from brushes of various sizes, stencils, stamps, toothbrushes for a speckled patter, to paint pens for precise detailing. If you are here on vacation, note that it takes a little over a week for the pieces to be glazed and kilned. All in all, a great way to spend a few hours. Parking is free in the U Village garage.

I’ve been to Paint the Town multiple times over the past year, and every single time the service from employees are top-tier and the prices are reasonable. It is easy to understand (especially for someone who has never painted ceramics before).

Wide variety of pottery and color selections. Thorough, but memorable instructions. The staff is very helpful in their tips and advise, but also will freely let you work out your own creative ideas. Pleasant atmosphere for families, friend groups, or a date with your partner. Very inclusive staff and business practice so all feel welcome. Could be very busy on weekends and evenings. Plan ahead! Daily specials and order ahead options are also available.
