Painters Island Holiday Park, Wangaratta, Victoria

We stayed here for two nights visiting family over Christmas break. The location is great, with everything in walking distance. Deb, the park manager was very friendly and welcoming. We booked the cabin, and it was clean, well laid out and comfortable. We will be staying here again next year.

We stayed here over the Melbourne Cup Long weekend on an unpowered site. The park has perfectly maintained grassed areas and plenty of rubbish bins around that were constantly being emptied. The amenities were absolutely spotless at all times of the day, commendation to the cleaners for their efforts. The camp kitchen was also very well maintained with its clean working area. The pool looked beautiful, although we didnt use it, there were certainly people enjoying it. Deb & Kirk (managers) were exceptionally courteous and pleasing to talk to. Highly recommend. We will definitely keep this place as one of our favourites to return to.

It is a lovely caravan park and have no issue with facilities. Top stuff. However the camp kitchen shuts at 10.30pm. We don't have a jug in the tent or a tv so being shut out at 10.30pm is a bit ridiculous as we pay $40 a night for a piece of grass -( how much do the flash rigs pay with all the power they can use?) We have been travelling for a month now as we sold up and are looking for a new home and are getting tired of paying top dollar and being treated as second class citizens because we have a tent.

We were a group of 20+ sharing cabins and a couple of van owners for a week of walking and cycling around the area. Everyone was very happy with their cabins and those using the facilities were most impressed. Being able to use the camp kitchen for group meetings was a great benefit. The convenience of being so close to the cbd was a real bonus. Would highly recommend for anyone stopping in Wangaratta

We only stayed for one night, but the park was immaculate. So well looked after and maintained, amenities are clean and staff super friendly and accommodating. Location is close to town and river - we'll be back!

Very nice place to stay to visit Wangaratta. Walking distance from town across 1 of 2 pedestrian bridges. Great, clean amenities, pool, kids play area, camp kitchen, barbecues, etc. Spacious sites length wise but can be tricky to get in and out due to the proximity of trees and narrow driveways.

Excellent caravan park right across river from main town with shops and restaurants. Great facilities and lovely sites. One of the best parks out there. Plus no unsightly dishevelled permanent accommodations.

Very clean amenities and well cared for caravan park. Great place to stay. Owners and staff friendly and look after the grounds, pool and environs.
