We had a lovely meal here at Cucina Di Paisano. The ambiance is welcoming and the staff were friendly. The food was amazing and authentically delicious. We went for their winterlicious event. We ordered wine on the side. The Location is accessible and lots of parking. Price was also reasonable. Definitely were coming back.

Parked across this restaurant by accident and decided to give it a try. Very traditonal Italian place, cooked like family style. Their pizza was magnificent, and the pesto base for pasta was delicious as well. Service was professional and friendly, very satisfying experience overall. Cappuccino tastes great too!

Wanted to like it more but came out just okay. No bread to start, odd for an Italian place not to have bread. A small slice of bread came with pasta mains. Mains were decent but seemed pre-prepared and heated up upon ordering. Decent flavour on their pasta dishes but lacks depth and complexity. My tiramisu at the end was still frozen in the middle too.

Had a great experience at Paisano. We ordered the Veggie Lovers Pizza and the Paneer Cheese Parmigiana, and both were delicious. The Veggie Lovers Pizza had tomatoes and cheese, together they were especially flavourful, creating a rich, well-balanced base with a perfectly baked crust and plenty of fresh veggies. The Paneer Cheese Parmigiana was equally impressive; the paneer was soft, well-seasoned, and delicious, pairing beautifully with the sauce and cheese. Overall, the food was satisfying and well prepared. Definitely a good spot for vegetarian Italian dishes. Would happily order again.

We tried their brunch menu which are not bad! I like the rustic omelette. It’s full of everything ham,mushroom onion peppers and etc. The portion is big. I really like their green salad. The fruit is so sweet lol. My brother ordered the three and three. He likes it and satisfy his appetite very much.

had a great time here with my friends. I ordered the pepper steak Alfredo and the seafood risotto for my friend - both were delicious. The Biscoff cheesecake was excellent as well. Samira was especially kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. Definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful Christmas Eve early dinner here! The pasta was delicious and the vegetable soup was incredibly comforting.By the way, the beverage is nice as well. What made the early evening truly special was the service. Despite it being an important Christmas Eve, the server from a lady was exceptionally warm and enthusiastic—every "thanks" was met with a heartfelt "you are welcome." This demonstrates the waitress's professional service attitude. It’s rare to see such dedicated service during the holidays. Merry Christmas to her! This was my third time to visit the restaurant. Highly recommend this place for their great and affordable food, also the even better hospitality!

My wife & I dropped by (1st time) randomly for lunch because doc’s office is around. I’m a big Italian fan & always curious why people gave 1 star reviews, hopefully I see a wider picture from 5 stars. I do acknowledge different opinions & circumstances, plus food is a subjective thing. First, we got there weekday 11:30am so no problem with hostess, table, seating, service etc. Second, I dined at numerous Italian restaurants in GTA, in past 30+ yrs so I have an idea what is good or not, & honestly I loved my eggplant parmigiana. My wife got haddock+shrimp & she liked it too. Tiramisu was excellent as well (a bit on the sweet side). Prices are fair, especially when things have gone more expensive now. I don’t know if anything we ate were bought from Costco or Longo’s, like the 1 stars reviewers said but I’m just trying to be fair & honest : we got no complaints but glad we found another place to dine. I don’t know what happened to the 1 star reviewers but we got no issues with our server & service at all. My wife & I sure will return, probably with friends too !

Paisano is my aunt and uncle's go-to restaurant in Toronto, and on my recent trip to Toronto last week, a family friend invited my sister and me to dinner at Paisano on our last night in town. We had been there several times before but not in quite a while. We enjoyed the food as well as the service. When we arrived quite early around 5:30 PM on a Sunday evening, it was empty, and by the time we left around 7 PM, there was quite a crowd. When entering the restaurant, we see plenty of seating near the bar with more of a dining room with booths around the corner. Several staff were near the host podium, who encouraged us to sign up for the Spin & Win drawing as a part of their 60th Anniversary. We gave it a try on the way out, and received two free desserts on our next visit. We were also entered in the drawing for large prizes that take place weekly. My sister ordered the grilled chicken breast topped with basil olive oil, served with roasted potatoes and vegetables (carrots, broccoli, and red peppers). I ordered a Hawaiian pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, bacon, pepperoni, and pineapple. We both were not completely hungry but still enjoyed our meals and didn't go home hungry. In the past, I have ordered lasagna, lemon chicken, Caesar salad, and chicken parmigiano. I don't think I have ever been disappointed with the food I have ordered at Paisano. Cucina di Paisano (the full restaurant name) inspires to bring a little taste of Italy home with their authentic Italian cuisine. The restaurant strives to be a casual, cozy atmopshere. The extensive menu provides a range of choices including several vegetarian and gluten-free options and plenty of meat options. Stopped here on a whim. Since I didn't have a reservation, my son and I were seat at a small table outside of the half wall where the other tables are located. A little uncomfortable but I understand since I didn't have a reservation. Majority of the seats were available and the whole time I was there, not many ppl showed up. Plenty of open seats when I left. I wasn't too upset at this it was more of the customer service. After being seated, the host just walked away. No mention of our waitress. Nothing said. The waitress came to us and took our order and we didn't see her again till our meal was brought. The next time she approached us was when I asked another waiter (walking by us) for the bill. Then she came will the machine for me to pay. Never did she or any other waiter check in on us throughout our stay. It was very uncomfortable. I kinda wish they just turned us away. As for the food, it was OK. It wasn't bad but it was great. It was just ok.

This is an old style Italian restaurant in the plaza by Firkin and the Boil place on York Mills. Food (3.25/5) - lots of variety on the menu to choose from and pretty standard pricing. - Seafood Creole - it was pretty average overall. Linguine was ok and cooked fine. Felt like all the seafood was on the average side and small pieces. Marinara sauce was bit bland too. - Caesar Salad - was also pretty average - romaine seemed a bit soft and the dressing might have been bottled or wholesale - didn't taste homemade for sure. Service (4/5) - found the servers and host were friendly and ordering and food was reasonably quick. Atmosphere (3.75/5) - you can tell it's been around for quite a few years... decor is older but clean. Overall (3.5/5) - it's an ok Italian restaurant. Reasonable prices and lot of selection but food was pretty average imo.

Nice Italian spot in the Don Mills area! Overall: 4/5 Food: Salmon Rosé Pasta - 3.5/5 - Not amazing but I enjoyed it :) Penne a la vodka - 4/5 - my mom ordered this (not pictured) and it was good, I'd go back and order that! Ambiance: 4.5/5 I like the restaurant a lot; very nice vibe, cool area, and nice that they have a patio. They also had a pianist the day we were there! Service: 5/5 - it was busy and our server was being pulled everywhere, but he still made sure we were taken care of well. Very friendly and prompt!

Was looking to try something new and found this place. The place wasn't too busy on a Monday night but our server was friendly and helpful. My party and I wanted to try different things so we shared an arugula prosciutto pizza, a carbonara and a rosé gnocchi. We really enjoyed the pizza as the dough was fresh, bouncy and the pizza perfectly sauced. We also liked the rosé gnocchi - the pasta was brunch and nicely cooked. The carbonara was just ok and wasn't an authentic carbonara as the sauce was more oily than thick. We also got a house made panna cotta for dessert - and it was yummy! Light and refreshing. I recommend if you want a casual Italian-esque restaurant

I ordered from winterlicious menu. It may not be on regular menu. Cream veggie soup is not in white cream but it still tastes good. Caesar salad just just regular lettuce, not much surprise. The haddock pasta is very good. I believe it is expertise in pasta, the pasta is Al dente and the tomato sauce has Casper and it is good. The cod serves well. As the whole dish of cod has no pasta sauce, although all veggie is sauté in garlic, slight garlic , it is not dry but feel no wow . I guess it does not taste with layer with some pasta sauce or cream sauce for the side as the other haddock pasta. I still think it is an ok casual dining place. It is pretty busy in the weekend. There is limited space for parking. Washroom is clean , just a bit old. Seems like the server forgot the winterlicious menu has dessert . I already ordered it at the beginning but still 2 servers come over and asked if I want dessert. The tiramisu is like wet soaked bread. I don't like it. I just request to get another crème brûlée for replacement. The crème brûlée is rich and creamy. I like it a lot. If it can serve warm, then it is perfect. Ok. Half of my order cheers me up and the other half not makes me satisfied. May I give 3.8 star. It is not 3.5 nor 4 stars

Good sized Italian restaurant with a casual relaxed feel. Family friendly type of restaurant with decent food and service. Came here to try out their Winterlicious menu since we liked the location and price is at the lower end of the scale. Food was decent, and the pasta was good.

The food and the service are great and they have good portion sizes. Lots of variety too. Would recommend :)

Ordered from the three course meal for $30. I had the cesar salad as the starter, no complaints. The main I got the pepper steak as pictured. I decided to try something a bit different than I usually do. It was definitely a bit peppered than I am used to but it was still good. The dessert was the tiramisu, definitely amazing and the best part of the meal! The service was great, the waitress was responsive and checked in often! The restaurant is a great spot in the York Mills area, definitely a nice Italian restaurant. I would go back again and maybe stick to my usual pasta order.

Pretty average. Had the classic spaghetti and meatballs which drove my rating. Service is attentive. Ambiance average. No bar seating- fyi.

This is the second time I have ordered the Chicken Marsala, and it was once again excellent - full of flavour - large prices of chicken, with a delicous Marsala sauce. The service was great - a little slower than usual, but it was quite busy! We were seated in the inside room, which is cozy. All in all, a 5 star evening!

I really enjoyed my grilled chicken with stewed potatoes and veggies. The service was quick and friendly and we even enjoyed some live music - somebody played piano really good. The guy obviously didn't work there but you may also get lucky to listen to somebody playing.

We came to Paisano for a Friday date night. This is located in the busy Liberty Plaza that has a ton of different food places. The parking is a little scarce around the front but there is a lot by the Galleria on the other side. One thing I've always liked about this plaza is how nice the greenery is on each of the patios. Paisano was no different! We had to walk through a decently lush wall of foliage to get to the front door, and it was fall! The inside is quite spacious so there were a lot of tables available for walk-ins. We were seated in a booth by the windows. There's a low wall along the windows so you don't get blinded from car headlights. The food here I'd describe as more homestyle Italian. The chicken parm my boyfriend got was massive. It was a huge slab of chicken plus veggies plus pasta. I had the mushroom alfredo. I didn't love the sauce - it really needed some more salt. Getting a lot of shaved parmesan on it did help however. Our waitress was personable and funny! The staff that was grating my cheese was possible a little concerned I wasn't telling them to stop. I sheepishly eventually told him to stop but our waitress assured me that it was fine if I wanted the entire block of cheese. Next time I might take her up on the offer - it was good cheese! One of the desserts that we had that I have to mention is the carrot cake cheesecake. I was initially sad because I was hoping for it just to be a basic carrot cake. I was then delighted that it was great! It's basically a plain cheesecake that has had chunks of carrot cake embedded in it, topped with a caramel sauce and whipped cream on the side. Decadent and delicious!

This is a great place to go if you want Italian food. The prices are on point for the quality and portions. The food is very flavourful and fresh. The tomato sauce takes their dishes to the next level. What really impressed me about this restaurant though is the service of the staff. I can confidently say that this is the best service I've received in a restaurant. Not only were the staff very friendly but they were also very efficient and attentive to every detail. I didn't need to ask for anything. It almost felt like I was at their personal home. I'll definitely be back. Thanks for the amazing service.

This is a review for delivery: their Caesar salad ($12 for large size) used way too much dressing, so much so that if I actually had romaine lettuce on hand I could have augment the salad by another 50% without skimping on flavour. And that despite the relatively higher price point for the salad, it was a bare bones interpretation of the dish: lettuce, sauce, a few croutons, and powdered parmesan instead of shavings. On other dishes, they don't skimp on the cheese, such as the garlic bread ($8), a hefty portion with six thick baguettes covered with ample amount of the dairy. Although, I would have traded some of the mozzarella for garlic as it just tasted like bread with butter and cheese. While I didn't taste their eggplant parmigano ($18), it's another dish encapsulated with mozzarella and is made to feed two given you're provided with so many pieces of eggplant, a side of penne big enough to feed a child, and an equal amount of vegetables. Paisano knew that cheese is the way to my husband's heart (emotionally and literally) as he loved the dish. Since the meal was being delivered, I moderated my expectations for the grilled salmon ($23) and knew it wouldn't be a lovely pink doneness in the centre. Indeed, it was cooked through-and-through but still fairly moist, especially on the thinner end where there's more fat in the meat. The simple lemon, basil, and olive oil was just enough to flavour the fish and compared to everything else the dish was a more manageable serving with crunchy vegetables (broccoli, peppers, and carrots) and the roasted potatoes that arrived overdone but nonetheless flavourful and creamy.

We got delivery from this place for a group of 4. I feel like this place is a decent 3.5/5 but it's a little pricier than I thought it should be. We got the grilled chicken salad - probably the best of the 4 dishes. Grilled chickenn was delicious, had great grilled flavor and was moist still! Greens were fresh. The salad dressing was great - tasted like a bit of lemon, garlic poppyseed? The veal parmigiana was big, delicious tomato sauce and cheese in top. The side penne was average and the veges were done well (cooked but not mushy) The shrimp pesto salad had great pesto flavor although a little on the salty side. The shrimp were medium size (not really tiger shrimp as advertised) and there was probably 6 pieces. Otherwise, it was just pasta, shrimp and sauce. The scallop and shrimp pasta had a great tomato sauce. Scallops were cooked well and food flavOr as were the shrimp. This sauce seemed plain but still had good flavor. Portions were adequate - though maybe small in comparison to other Italian places. The pasta is dried pasta not fresh. Price: It's decently high relative to other Italian places and how much and what you get.

I was hoping to love this place but no such luck. It was just such a shitshow lunch I'm still shaking my head. I do have to say, despite all of the errors, servers were still on top of everything. We met 2 other couples for lunch. Seated right away and we were chatting. My husband noticed the server waiting by our table and said to him Oh sorry, did you want to take our drink order? He threw up his hands and left. I guess we made him wait too long. Finally came back for our drinks. We all had beer, wine and 2 ordered martinis. A gin and a vodka. Gin was fine, the vodka martini was made with orange vodka. Umm, that's a big no. Sent it back, came back with the same orange vodka. She gave up and drank it anyway. Ordered our food. One person ordered snails and a Caesar salad. These 2 things came out right away but the server put the snails in front of the person who ordered them and the salad in front of the person beside them. We just assumed it was the side salad that she had ordered with her pasta. So when the mains came out, with salad on the side of them all, we were like oops. We explained what happened, that the salad was eaten mistakenly by the wrong person because they had dropped it in front of the wrong person. So this was rectified. Then I realized my chicken, hummus wrap (with feta) was the wrong sandwich. It was a chicken bacon wrap. I don't eat pork. So after a bit of an argument, I got it swapped out. One friend ordered the fish. Filet of sole in wine sauce. She took one bite and sent it back. I'm not sure what the issue was she was not happy with it. Said something about it being watered down? Yuck. The pastas were ordered with a rose sauce but came out with a marinara. The server brought a few little containers of cream to pour on top. Not gonna lie, I was a little put off by that. The venue was a good size, parking lot was crazy busy, good location. Anyway, we will not be back despite the entertaining afternoon.

We love it at Paisanos! We ordered the mussels with white wine garlic sauce and escargot in a tomato sauce to share between six of us. That was tasty as usual. The mussels are on the small side but they do give a lot. I got the 10" bruschetta pizza (bruschetta, mozzarella, basil, tomato sauce) and love it - this is the only place I've seen sell bruschetta pizza. Other people got the specials of the day: lamb shank with potato and vegetables, fish and shrimp and scallops with linguine, and a chicken pasta dish. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their dishes.

I have only gotten take outs from this place because I discovered it during covid. I love this place, their pricing is good, the food is tasty and the portions are huge! Totally bang for your bucks! Highly recommend!

Visited this restaurant for Winterlicious with my baby boy. Let's just say, it turned me off of all Winterlicious restaurants, which I've been a frequent visitor of different restaurants over the past 15 years. The welcome was very nice, the greeter very friendly. The service, the initial wait was about 20 mins. The waitress finally came over when I glimpsed at her & said she thought the Greeter took my order...okay maybe the workers have diverse roles. The food, terrible a 0.3 star. The daily soup was a beef & was like all pot dirty water. The pasta was a creamy Alfredo & had no taste, which I don't usually need much flavours but this one was like water...not even the grated Parmesan cheese helped & the beef on top of it had 0 taste & was like rubber. The tiramisu was okay. The table bread & butter was the best. Not even my baby wanted the food & he usually eats everything. Let's just put it this way...it's not an authentic Italian restaurant‼ The seating needs to be retired in addition to the glassware they served the water in. And there's no baby changing table, so guess it doesn't really cater for younger people/children, also considering the patrons were mostly older. Let's put it this way, I love to snap pics of my dishes, this restaurant didn't influence me to do so, so I only snapped one. Won't be going back here even if it was free! Very disappointing!

If you order the kid and adult sizes are the same size, but different plate. The Rafael, the chicken cacciatore, & garlic & cheese breads were good. The Tuscan Pizza was a little small. The waiters took a long time to come and take our orders. The pastas came the fastest, a half an hour before the rest of the food. The place looks decent, kinda feels like Italy. There are usually older people in the washroom, and they usually hold the door, so convenience.

Fast ball right down the middle. Really well done, nothing overly fancy or tricky with the food. Ordered different dishes from here in the past. Latest was shrimp penne. I like their seafood. If you're craving seafood pasta you won't go wrong here. Good pasta is competitive in gta. So given other options this is closer to a 3.6/5 for me. Having to round that to 4 with the 5 star Yelp scale. Dessert was a nice surprise. Had a peanut butter torte. Tiramisu I've ordered before was also solid also. Portion and prices are great. Don't be dissuaded by the number of items on menu as I was initially before giving it a shot. Usually I stay clear of places that have way too many options. They're able to pull it off for the mid to above mid tier restaurant in terms of cost. Check it out.

We ordered Alfredo Pasta from DoorDash and picked it up. They have a great buy one, get one offer that makes it worth the cost. The meal was just okay!

Came in on a cold snowy Monday night. We were greeted immediately and that set the time for the attentive service we received throughout our dinner. We started with a bottle of Midini Chianti (reasonably priced) medium sized antipasto plate (they have a small and large option). Having that choice was great because we were able to settle on a portion that was perfect for 2 of us (or even 3). The plate was well presented and had a decent variety and value for the price. There is a piano in the centre of the restaurant and we were lucky on this night to have it played by a talented pianist playing contemporary classics. It was a nice touch. For dinner we ordered a pasta an a pizza. The pasta was excellent, perfect portion size and fresh ingredients! It came to our table piping hot. I would come back for this dish. The pizza, while tasty, was smaller than I would have expected and a didn't have the home made, hand stretched appearance. It's still worth ordering though. We finished with a homemade tiramisu. It was recommended by our server and it too didn't disappoint. Overall, it's a a gem and a great option if you don't want to go downtown and a must visit if you live in the neighbourhood.

A group of 4 of us had dinner and we were all very happy with our delicious food, ample portions, lovely wine and great service by Callum. The menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable; especially for Toronto! There is parking and patio seating available too. Thanks to Callum, the chefs and the friendly staff who greeted us at the door and filled our water glasses continually. A great experience!

Always First Class !! Hey!! Who doesn't like Italian food in a classic setting?? Cucina Di Paisano has been around for 50 year s and has two locations in the NorthYork area. I was out with the crew from work for a business lunch. Our table was amazed at the elegance of the place and mesmerized by the aromas they were taking in. Our gracious host took his time helping each one of us select dishes that matched their taste buds. We started with some antipasto and a platter of garlic shrimp grilled calamari bruschetta and garlic bread as we made our through the appetizers and a bottle or two of Italian wine it was time to order the main courses. I have to admit, I had a really hard time deciding as there were so many great dishes to choose from. With the help of my server, I ordered the insanely delicious shrimp marinara with black tiger shrimp in a white wine garlic tomato sauce with penne pasta and veggies on the side. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their food and it a testament to Cucina di Paisano and their staff and the dedication they have to keep the food and vibe as authentic as possible while delivering excellent food!! You know we will be back!!

HONEY GARLIC SALMON: this is the BEST salmon i have ever had from a restaurant. it is cooked perfectly and not dry at all. the flavour is a perfect a balance of sweet and salt. great portion, wonderfully packaged CHEESY GARLIC BREAD: wonderful! one order came with six pieces. perfect amount of cheese & crisp

A step above chain restaurants but overall though was only so so. Chicken parm, veal scallopini, spaghetti and meatballs, penne in bolognese - all the sauces were sooo similar I couldn't tell the differences. In fact, all the sauces were heavy in tomato base - way too acidic for my taste. Even the escargots were made in marinara sauce.. Tiramisu was the highlight of our meal but took over 40 mins after we finished our main course to be served. Perhaps their party menu/group dinner isn't exactly reflective of what they typically offer? Maybe we will return in a smaller group and for their regular menu.

Ordered for delivery -- eggplant Parmesan and the blackened salmon. Veggies are an odd addition to the eggplant parm and overcooked .. however the gluten-free pasta included is delicious. Super saucy and cheesy and good for at least 2 full meals! Blackened salmon is great and served with potatoes (and overcooked veggies) Great bang for your buck given portion sizes!

Friend and I came here at last second and was well worth it. Service was top notch as she made sure food was alright, constantly filling up water, and offered freshly grounded pepper -!3 mozzarella cheese. I ordered the chicken parm and friend ordered chicken penne. My meal was very tasty and chicken was still moist. Overall great meal and service but meal was a tad on the expensive. But you pay what you get and worth it.

Very tasty and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I usually order the pasta dish with the marinara sauce with seafood. The sauce is a little salty on its own, so I suggest that you get some bread to dip in it. I've also tried their salads and pizzas and they were all delicious! The location is great, and there's usually parking right outside of the restaurant. If not, you can drive around to the back where Galleria is and park in that big parking lot. I'll definitely be returning for more!

Really good Italian restaurant. I went for brunch, and probably because of Covid-19 it was quite quiet. It was my friend and I, and a family sitting across from us. The first thing I noticed was that our cutlery and plates were placed in ziploc bags (to prevent germs and bacteria) from landing on them. Our server was quick to consistently replace our waters and take our orders. Our appetizer was mussels and we were surprised by how big the amount was! Either way it was enough for two and it tasted wonderful. I forgot what she ordered, but I ordered a Fettucine Alfredo and it was a good choice. My friend and I had no reservations about our meals or our service. Everything was really good and the place was really clean. There's ample parking outside, and there's even a patio outside. Highly recommend!

Paisano is just your regular run-of-the-mill semi-casual Italian restaurant. They serve the standard Italian fair including typical pasta dishes and secondi. It's a reliable spot for your family functions. But if you're looking for a place for a power lunch or a date night., this place probably would not make the grade.

It was the first time trying Paisano resto for lunch with my coworkers. We made reservations to be sure we secured seating given the holiday season. They were great with giving us a booth as it was cozier to dine. Great first impression of the space, it's spacious and when you enter there's a grand piano in the center of the restaurant. Not sure if they have a piano player in the evening as that would be a nice touch if they did. The overall seating space is large with several areas. Place looked clean. They offered a lunch menu or you can order a la carte off a more extensive menu; we went a la carte! Lots of menu options. We ordered the appetizer platter with brushetta, grilled shrimp and calamari. Everything was tasty and made well. Good first impression with the food so far. We all ordered something different for our mains and we all thought the food was delicious. Their portions were very generous! One person ordered the chicken parm and it looked like it can feed 2+ ppl. I made the chicken pesto pizza, it had a of toppings and the crust was thin. The only draw back it that they served the pizza still on the metal pan they used to bake the pizza. This looked a bit cheap and it would've been better served without the pan. It's obviously the pizza isn't made in a wood fire oven. If they did, I think this would push their food over the top. Others had the gnocchi in rose sauce and linguini w/ shrimp and they were happy with the portions and the flavours. Our server was Alfred. He was friendly and somewhat attentive as the restaurant got busy that we had to wave him down a few times. I think their wait staff needs to up their game if the restaurant owner wants to elevate their establishment towards fine dining otherwise it's kinda middle of the road. They lessen their impressions with guests with having cheap laminated lunch and dessert menus. Their dessert menu reminds me of a menu from Cora's because they have pictures of the dessert options. I think the owners need to think where they want to with their establishment..fine dining or more family style. There were several contradictions with their ambience (grand piano), wait staff to menu presentation (laminated pictures of food vs lovely extensive a la carte presentation) . Overall, I had a good experience with the food quality & quantity but I'm not sure I'd be running back there again.

This is the venue for a co-worker retirement party I'm attending today. I checked out the restaurant website last evening and the food photos looked delicious so I'm hoping to return another day for some casual Italian restaurant cuisine of pizza, pasta or seafood! The restaurant apparently opened for business January 2017 at this location but recently celebrated a 50th anniversary. Anyhow, I/we don't get to choose the food items at this event, only our beverage of choice. The party organizers however, did a good job so not all was lost. Very tasty Appetizer Platters (grilled shrimp, grilled,calamari, bruschetta, garlic bread)! The restaurant decor is stylish and Mediterranean modern. Staff are friendly. Plenty of indoor and outdoor parking is available at Paisanos.

myself and two friends made a spontaneous stop at cocina de paisano last night, as we had a craving for Italian. first time there. atmosphere was great. was not let down by the food. all service was excellent and additionally, Elia was exceptional! professional, attentive, engaging and entertaining! will definitely be back.

The Caprese salad is almost as amazing as the waiter whose name is Elia. I highly recommend both to everyone visiting Toronto.

Decent food and service. Parking Is a real hassle here now with the temporary extended patios taking up precious space meant for cars. When you get selfish pricks in the neighboring restaurant blocking parking lot corridors, Paisano management take little effort to call towing companies so that paying customers can exit their parking spots hassle free. The restaurant management take no effort here to prevent this from happening but just smile saying it is not their responsibility. Just be forewarned to be aware of this. All it takes is one effort to ruin it . .

Meh. Portobello salad was good. Caprese salad not so much. Too much greenery and not enough tomatoes and cheese. Pastas were just ok. Rafaelle chicken and pesto chicken. Pesto sauce just didn't "feel" right like it was a tad creamy for some reason although the taste was ok. Chicken was a bit over-cooked and dry in both dishes. Pesto dish was a bit small for dinner size. Tiramisu and coffee were good. Weird the tiramisu was not a brick but it came in a bowl. Better options for Italian in same neighbourhood, check out my other reviews.

Had dinner here tonight, i would say the experience in this restaraunt was mediocore. Its a basic italian restaurant, with a basic menu. Food was okay, not the best. But the service we got that night was really good. Food: Appitizer platter- with grilled calamari was good, garlic shrimp tasted like garlic and the bruchetta was the best part about it. Fresh tomotoes and lots of garlic just like how the italians like it. Chicken carbonara - was sub par, i dont know why they had to drown the perfectly cooked pasta with sauce. They couldve gone easy with it, my pasta was swimming im the sauce. Meat lovers pizza - good pizza, baked just perfect with sufficient toppings. Service - probably the best highlight of the night was our server. He was friendly and knowledgable about the menu. He had given us the specials of the night and even suggested menu items when asked about the food. He was also very accomodating and attentive, he would come over now and then and ask how things were and kept our glass filled with water. In my opinion, you can have the best food in the world but if your service is bad you lose points with me. I think part of the restaurant experience isnt just food but also the service

Everything was perfect! I ordered the mushroom veal and everything was exceptional. Pasta was perfectly al dente, vegetables were not over cooked and the veal cutlet mushroom sauce combo was savory, rich and everything you would expect. I paired it with the merlot, which was rich and full bodied. The wine list gives excellent descriptors of what to expect. My server, Ebby was polite, courteous and attentive. I will be back with the family to enjoy it again soon!

This place is busy. The food reminds me of an old fashioned American Italian menu. But it is a good thing, because something you just want the traditional meal. The service is friendly enough. On the menu, they have some classics, but a good selection of pizza and pasta. The front can get a bit crowded at peak dinner times.

I came here for lunch while in the neighborhood on a Saturday around noon. This is an Italian eatery with the classics. The restaurant is spacious. There's a grand piano in the middle! Lunch time was quiet. A few tables. We ordered the Italian salad, pan seared veal with pasta, cheesy garlic bread, shrimp and scallop pasta. Veal came with too much creamy sauce. But the vegetables were cooked perfect for a little one. The food is as expected for a family type restaurant. It's a comfortable environment. Great for kids. Service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our lunch. I'd like to come back and try dinner. I expect it will be a different atmosphere and experience.

If you are looking for an authentic Pizza place unfortunately this is not the place to come. I think there pizza was bought at the grocery store and put into the oven with a few fresh toppings. Very disappointing!! 0 star for the pizza The best thing about this restaurant was the service we had a server named Michael and he was probably one of the best servers I have ever encountered. 5 star for the server!

Came here for dinner and our waiter (Calvin) was extremely nice and helpful. My boyfriend wasn't too sure what to get but the waiter gave a breakdown of the menu. Apparently they are known to have the best spaghetti and meatball in North York. The meatball was soft in texture and flavourful. The raffaella's rose sauce tasted amazing and the chicken was very tender. The food probably came out within 10 minutes! We were quite hungry and our waiter made sure our food came out fast. Overall, we would definitely come back again and try the rest of the menu!

Service - Been there many times and the service is always great. Friendly staff that always have a smile on their face and very pleasant to talk to. Food - If you're looking for pasta, this is a great place to go to. I've had many pastas from the salmon fettuccine to the carbonara, and they have been amazing every time. Though their pizzas lack a bit in comparison, I highly recommend the pastas. Price - The price is average, not too high and not too low, but it's very worth it for the quality of food that you get. Atmosphere - The atmosphere is very nice. Thy have some great decor that gives you a more Italian vibe, from the murals on the walls to the pillars, it's a very Italian feel. Somewhat romantic too, so a good place for date night if you're looking for something semi-formal.

Paisano is a recently opened Italian spot near where I went to high school. I came on a Saturday night with my softball team. We were a large group of hungry young adults, so yeah, we were loud and wanted food lol :P XDD The decor reminded me of Olive Garden somewhat and the waiter who served us was informative and friendly. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce, which is one of my favourite dishes in that cuisine, ever since I was a kid. It was good, but nothing extra spectacular. The meat sauce was nice and hearty. The atmosphere was a bit noisy for my liking. There was some live music, which I don't mind, but I found it a bit distracting. The portions are large, so come with an empty stomach! I would go here again to have a casual Italian lunch/dinner with my family and/or friends, but it's not the most stellar Italian food I've had. It was still good though. Would recommend.
