PAK'nSAVE Cameron Road

It's a good place to shop but some staff are just hostile and frustrated. Can do better. Almost felt threatened by a staff just blocking my way whilst driving. No communication almost look like he wanted an altercation.

It's central and a decent sized supermarket. It's relatively easy to get to, tends to have the cheaper prices of the big supermarkets, and also has covered parking (underground) and the pay at pump fuel part. The only real downfall is that one of the exits is extremely difficult to get out of because it gets quite jammed up. The other exit is slightly easier but also it goes onto a main road, which can be busy. The lotto counter is also easily accessible.

Getting worse at stocking items I used to normally buy from here. Very bad actually. The staff however are friendly and helpful which brings them up from two stars to three stars.

Usual warehouse boring layout, noisy, poor and very limited international and Asian selection. Staff not friendly, meat department person very rude and irritable.

Has the worst produce. All their grapes are mouldy 🤢🤢 (see attached photo). The staff don't seem concerned. Definitely a public health concern

This morning whilst shopping I bought a pack of cherries as a treat for my wife as she loves them. Not a cheap item, I recall about $16 for 700 grams. I didn't open and check them as until now I have always had good experiences here and I trust them. I got home, took the pack up to my wife's office with a cup of tea and she was so excited! Unfortunately she brought them downstairs soon after, more than half of them were well past their use-by, and most of the remainder will need minge cut off them. Not asking for the receipt at checkout BECAUSE OF PREVIOUS TRUST HERE and so apart from my visa statement having no proof of purchase date, I thought I would just leave a polite review here and the produce manager would likely contact me and arrange a swap for fresh ones on my next visit. But seeing many other reviews here for a) rotten produce and b) store management not giving a rip - in fact abusing customers when they dare return rotten items, I have no confidence in this stores management.. I will be posting this same review in other stores pages in the hope that other stores who actually care may contact me to find out which store/ management is letting down ALL THE OTHER GREAT STORES and can exert some peer pressure on CAMERON ROAD STORE, TAURANGA.

You can now get mozzarella with blue cheese at pak'nSave. I love how every store have unik items;)!!

I rarely use it as tauriko is far better. The fish department for the laat year has been substandard and rarely sells fish advertised same as there butcgery department which looks like its had the costs reduced by hiring non qualified people. Be lucjy if there is even 1 butcher there now looking at the hacked mess they sell. Tauriko have none of these issues.

I went to a different Pak N Save during my first New Zealand trip so I had high expectations. This location didn't quite hit the mark. Although it has a lot of the same options, I felt they were a lot less prepared food options which is why we came here to begin with.
