My fiance and I had an excellent time at Palace Grill. We got the normal menu without wine pairing except for 2 glasses of champagne. They are very generous with the alcohol here, so I could not imagine drinking 10 glasses alongside the 10 course menu, but it did look very tempting! The food was excellent and I was happy we got to try some local Norwegian fish. The dishes are well thought-out and it’s clear that the chefs here are talented. Each course was very different from the other. The service is also very friendly and took their time to explain each dish to us everytime something came out. While expensive at around 2350kr per person and around 300kr per glass of wine, it definitely warrants a visit at least once when in Oslo. Treat yourself to some culinary excellence!

What a place! Go if you can get a reservation. Awesome flavor combinations just keep coming. Really fun and knowledgable staff. Food outshines location but isn't that the way it should be. Daring chefs always experimenting. If you add the great wines better be prepared for Norway Sovereign wealth fund size bill!! But well worth every penny!! Just go!!!

I had an amazing evening in this small and intimate restaurant. The menu is fixed, 10 courses, served by the most friendly staff ever. Go for the full wine package, it makes the whole experience really great

Experimental food, definitely have the wow factor. The wine menu was amazing and generous, we got so drunk at the end. The bathroom is why they got 4 stars instead of 5. Maybe it’s charming for bar customers, but I personally prefer more up to standard bathroom.

Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere . Set menu with wine pack is recommended , but will set u back 2500-3000 NOK. Not bad for Norwegian prices, and comparable with southern Europe. Small restaurant with a good ambience.

My favorite restaurant in Oslo! The food and service is phenomenal. Make sure to book ahead in order to snag a table.

Yelp
Small, cozy, intimate and very friendly. Don't let the size and the atmosphere fool you, since this is an absolute gem of an restaurant. The waiter (they have just one) offered an imaginable well of wine and food knowledge guiding us through the 10 courses of seafood inspired dishes. They have no pre booking of tables and have just one serving pr table for the night. If you want to make sure you get a table be there Mondays or Tuesdays before 17:00 and go for a culinary ride not easy surpassed in Oslo!

Yelp
This place is both a bar - it has looked the same for 30 years - and a tiny very very good restaurant. The bar is just that a bar counter with a little bit of space for punters. Even so they manage to provide live music from time to time. It's a great place to stop by for a drink or many and some good music. The restaurant is unique. There is no menu - they will serve you a 10-13 excellent dishes - the composition depending on AAA raw materials available. The waiter is very knowledgeable when it comes to wine - I would suggest asking for recommendations. If you want an unforgettable evening; just sit down and leave the rest to the waiter. You will not be disappointed.
