Spent a brilliant 3 nights at Palace Hotel. The hotel has a real sense of grandeur but with a really modern, relaxed service style. The room was spotless, comfortable and quiet, the communal areas are relaxed and stylish in the traditional style. Everything worked well in the room and the espresso machine and fridge were very welcome.||Breakfast was varied and good and the location was ideal for being just outside the main centre but only a 5 minute walk to the old town. The hotel is also surrounded by green spaces that were beautiful day or night. The area also felt very safe.||But the best thing about the Palace Hotel was the staff. Friendly, well informed, great sense of humour, and willing to help from anything from extra coffee pods to tips of things to see and do, to the history of the hotel and interesting facts about Zagreb and Croatia and its culture. A real credit to the hotel, their city and their country.

This was my first time staying at Hotel Palace (I previously stayed at The Esplanade) and I can't wait to go back! The location is great, right in the centre of town and close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Just steps away is a gorgeous park, Zrinjevac, where we spent a sunny afternoon enjoying the early Spring bloom. The hotel has a long history and it was lovely to see photos in the lobby of the famous people who stayed there. Our room was just perfect, spotless, with a king-size bed, complimentary coffee (and complimentary snacks and water upon arrival!) and all the necessary bathroom amenities. The only downside was the rather loud A/C system but otherwise the room had no street noise and was well-insulated. The hotel breakfast was definitely the highlight - just wonderful! A huge selection of everything you could possibly want to eat, including a "heritage corner" with dishes typical for the northern region of Croatia. They even served "shtrukli", and I must say that they were even better than those served at The Esplanade. Breakfast staff was friendly, professional and discreet. The hotel bar/restaurant had a terrific selection of whiskeys and the decor was lovely. As we had to cut our trip short unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I must single out the front desk staff who were absolutely INCREDIBLE and very professional and provided us with a complementary taxi to the airport and comped our hotel bar charge. I cannot thank them enough for this kind gesture. I can't wait to go back to Zagreb and there is only one place that I'll be staying at - Hotel Palace!

A belated review of this nice hotel in Zagreb. Very convenient as I arrived very late in the evening by train and the station is only a short walk away. The City centre is a short walk in the other direction, so ideal for seeing the main sights. Very nice room and if I recall a nice evening meal too in quite a sumptuous dining room. Hopefully will stay again one day.

Got to the hotel very easily! The tram station was just opposite the hotel so had no issues whatsoever in getting to the hotel. Got a warm welcome at the reception! The lady quickly got our check-in done and gave us our rooms. Also showed us exactly where all the tourists spots were on the map they provided. The standard rooms aren't that big but are comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with all the necessary amenities provided well. As a vegetarian person would say that the breakfast was not that great but it didn't even leave me hungry so just a suggestion if the management can add a few things more. The location is probably the best. All the main centres are just a walking distance away. The staff was really very helpful. Except for that one small incident where there was a misunderstanding regarding my package that i was expecting at the hotel, due to the staff's writing mistake in replying to my email in English. But got the package later on thanks to the Croatian DHL office. So, all in all its the best place to stay in Zagreb!

Very pleasant traditional hotel with good food and clean and comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Reception staff were very helpful and supportive when my luggage was left in Paris and came through 24 hours later. A calm atmosphere without makes one feel welcome and cared about. Rooms always cleaned very soon after leaving it free in the morning. A hotel where one was able to relax without intrusion. Overall: an extremely pleasant and competently run hotel which has a delightful traditional feel to it. Competent without being slick. Thank you very much indeed.

We were in town for the 2018 World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships, during March Break. This is a lovely, older style hotel, but with many modern amenities. Located in the heart of Zagreb's tourist district, basically walking distance from almost everywhere. Amazing Stained Glass ceiling in the central lobby. Included breakfast buffet was very nice indeed. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

The stay at the Palace was very good. The stay was good value and was enhanced by the staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful. Just note that there is limited parking, 6 bays on the street, so if you arriving via car you need to book. Otherwise you can park in a garage about 150 metres away - no fuss. If you’re staying in Zagreb this is conveniently located, well appointed and has a good breakfast selection.
