Palace Mirissa

Our trip was very last minute due to some issues but omg it turn out to be one of the best experiences. We want to thank the Palace Mirissa and all great people who work there for our stay, it was wonderful. We loved our room, (and think that it was the best one)) and thank you very much for helping us to extend our stay for whole time in same exact room), the view was breathtaking. Every morning we was visited by peacocks, it was so cute. Breakfast is amazing and so full, also tasty just like homemade food. The pool is so nice, deep side and kids side, so thoughtful (one downfall though: some tiles are sharp, we did cut our fingers a little bit, however still continued to swim on other days). Great addition is the ability to also use Paradise beach club, oh wow, great location, fantastic beach, everything very comfortable and accessible. The most i appreciate is the natural beauty and respect to it at this hotel, we meet/saw monkeys, chipmunks, peacocks, parrots, turtles, dragonflies and fireflies, big and small lizards just outside the room. It was magical. Already miss the place, we will visit next or this year i hope. Have great time!

Check in for our group was quick. Room was massive with a Mosquito net. Good sized bathroom though strange not to have door for shower cubicle so often made floor wet. Tea and coffee facilities inc fridge. Balcony but overlooked hill rather than the sea. Told pool was out of action but could use partner hotel 400m away. Breakfast was decent enough inc fresh cooked eggs. Great view for the sunset. Lots of peacocks. It's up a steep hill however.

We stayed at the Palace Mirissa for 2 weeks all together. February & March 2025 This was truly the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Situated at the top of a hill were the beautiful bungalow’s with a sea view. It was just amazing!! Everything was perfect. The staff were amazing. The young lady at the front desk and the manager did everything so that we could enjoy our stay. We thank-you so much. We got the chance to try bungalow 205 & 206. The view was spectacular 206 we could really here the sound of the ocean so peaceful. Well maintained property, the pool is beautiful. There are beautiful peacocks, monkeys, iguanas, birds all so very nice. There sunsets just amazing, breathtaking!! The bungalow’s are spacious, colorful ceilings, confy beds, nice bathrooms, nice balconies. Aircon works great, hair dryer and wifi. The restaurant staff were great very attentive. 👌 We had breakfast and dinner everything was so tasty and delicious! Chef you are amazing! 👌 You can also go to the sister hotel Paradise beach club. Down the hill 5 min. walk. You have your chairs, towels on the beach. You can also go in the pool. Great massages. If you do not want to go down or up the hill rent a tuk tuk it’s really not expensive. Everything is a walk away. Lovely hotel and restaurant with great views of the sunset from the restaurant. Lovely views of the bay from upper rooms that are spacious, clean and comfortable. It is well worth making the uphill walk to eat or drink while watching the sunset. Also have a great partnership with lovely nearby beach resort for the daytime by the sea.

Nice hotel. Comfy rooms with great views. However venue next door plays loud, very poor music till late at night, disrupting sleep. Hotel needs to negotiate this with neighbours. Neighbour venue needs to reduce volume of its music and finish earlier. Finishing at midnight means no sleep till midnight for guests at this hotel. Hotel also needs to advise guests of loud music till late. Unless you like loud bad music till midnight don't stay at this hotel. Actually I suggest don't stay in this town. Horrible place. Can't wait to leave.

We stayed 2 nights as part of a group tour. Accommodation is in self contained bungalows dotted around a large garden area on the high ground overlooking Marissa Beach. Aircon is good, the bungalow is spacious and modern with a comfy bed and well appointed bathroom. Breakfast is yummy with an on hand chef to cook eggs etc as you like them. Staff are very helpful. I recommend being at the bar come sunset to soak up some incredible views from the outside lawn. The barman is a great guy and will keep your beer topped up!

Right next to the beach this hilltop hotel is a classic with old style sri lankan cottages. There were peacocks all around and we even had a sri lankan langur in the trees. Beautiful place if a bit dated.

We got a nice bungalow with sea view and it was amazing stay. Comfy beds, clean rooms and very spacious bungalow. They let us check out one hour later because we went whale watching and waited for us with breakfast, as arranged before. Hair dryer did not work, only 2 towels per person provided, only one UK charger in the room the other "international" is in the bathroom.
