Palacio de Bellas Artes is absolutely worth visiting. First, a warm reminder for future visitors: no food or drinks are allowed inside. There is a bag check, but they only accept backpacks or suitcases — they won’t take care of other types of bags, so plan accordingly. The ticket price for me was $95 MXN, which is very reasonable for such an iconic landmark. The architecture is stunning, both outside and inside. The white marble exterior, the grand entrance, and the details throughout the building are breathtaking. Inside, the murals and interior design reflect Mexico’s rich artistic and cultural history, and you can easily spend time just admiring the craftsmanship. The atmosphere feels elegant and historic, yet welcoming. Whether you’re into architecture, art, or photography, this place is a must-see in Mexico City. I really loved the experience and would absolutely recommend it.

The Diego Rivera mural at the Palacio de Bellas Artes is powerful and thought-provoking, showcasing Rivera’s bold style and strong political and social commentary. The scale, detail, and symbolism make it easy to spend a long time studying different sections and discovering new meanings. It can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you’re not familiar with Mexican history, but that also makes it rewarding. Seeing Rivera’s work up close in such a grand setting is an unforgettable experience and well worth the visit.

Visited February 2026. One of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. The white marble exterior, golden dome, and intricate details are stunning in person. A true architectural masterpiece and perfect photo spot in the heart of Mexico City.

A popular art hall that holds various permanent and temporary art exhibitions. And there are beautiful and thoughtful murals, each one worth watching and contemplating. However, I felt the observation duration is a bit short, maybe up to 1.5 hours. If the place is crowded, note that you may have to wait in line to buy tickets.

The moment you see the building, with its stunning white marble façade and majestic domes, you immediately understand why it’s considered one of the most beautiful theaters in the world. Inside, every detail is a work of art — from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco design elements to the incredible murals by Diego Rivera, Siqueiros, and other legendary Mexican artists. The main theater is spectacular, especially the glass curtain made of crystal panels depicting the Valley of Mexico. Bellas Artes isn’t just a building; it’s the cultural heart of the city. It hosts world-class exhibitions, concerts, and ballet performances that highlight the richness of Mexico’s artistic heritage. The staff are kind and helpful, and everything is well-organized and accessible. Whether you come for a show, a museum visit, or simply to admire its beauty, Palacio de Bellas Artes is a must-see — timeless, inspiring, and unforgettable.

A beautiful palace full of interesting art. It was free during my visit which is a nice gesture. The exhibits were cool, I won't pretend to be so interested in art. The property itself is a work of art and a great place for photographers to take some shots. Highly recommended!

Palacio de Bellas Artes is an impressive cultural landmark with powerful and striking exhibitions. The artworks on display are impactful and well curated, making the visit very worthwhile on its own. Unfortunately, the theater was closed during our visit, so we weren’t able to see the famous stained-glass ceiling. We were told the theater would remain closed until January 7. Even with that limitation, it’s still a beautiful and meaningful place to visit. If possible, check ahead to make sure the theater is open so you can experience the building in its entirety.

Highly recommend, limited access to elevators. Try not to bring a kids stroller. Greta art and great detailed architecture.
