The building was precious. Staff was friendly. The decoration too pretentious and at times sleezy. The beds are good but neither the lamps nor the fridge nor the airconditioning functioned and the night was hot. The shower was slippery and designed for only the brave. The jamon and cheese entrance tasted great, but the steaks were as h ard as a shoe and were not served with the sauce that was ordered.

The hotel is truly distinctive: peaceful, welcoming and beautiful. Our room had a spa bathroom with a relaxing whirlpool. The desk and breakfast staff were welcoming and polite. Our dog, Lord Byron, was treated as a guest with no questions asked. The hotel grounds are attractive with a Daliesque imaginative flavor. Rooms are wonderfully decorated. Moreover, the hotel is located in a charming village in the middle of lovely light green fields--magical!|

Interesting place. Essentially this would appear to b a wedding venue and it's a great environment for a party. It really is in a 1 horse town essentially there is nothing else around. the rooms are interesting, my room has a gold ceiling, but to be honest it's a bit stinky in my room. no it is comfortable and the aircon is quiet enough at night. Can't imagine staying here on holiday but as a venue it's great, we're staying here on business because we're working locally.

Our booking was made with a special offer on their Website: for certain week-days and from a certain room-category on, parking would be free and breakfast included. We had booked for the correct week-days and room-category, but upon our arrival we were told that - contrary to the information on their website - breakfast was only included for a higher room-category.||Still, as the hotel was empty we were put into a higher room category - without breakfast. Tired from a long journey, we wanted to take a bath: water comes out hot, for 3 minutes, I am sitting down in the tub, then it comes freezing cold. The reception says by phone: don't worry, wait 15 minutes, try again. I wait, shivering in the half-cold water, 15 minutes. Still cold. Another 15 minutes: still cold. Reception says: "that's normal. Give it some time." I get out of the now cold tub water, we go for dinner. After dinner, another attempt to take THAT bath. Cold water. Then the reception guy admits the structural problem and moves us to another room. Lower category, the one we had booked, but still without breakfast. Here the tub water comes more or less warm after 10 minutes, but most of the buttons for steering the jacuzzi functions simply fall apart and don't work. Remember: 5- star hotel !!||Next morning, at the reception another guy: "yes, these things happen, sorry". No breakfast.||How many "5-stars hotels" do you know were you are treated like this, were booking rules are changed aleatory, without an immediate problem solution or compensations for the hassle you have to go through?||The place is definitively tasteful and beautiful, but they seem to live from local policy-makers' seminars or business people and certain don't seem to need and care for travellers. Accordingly you are treated.

The hotel is truly unique in a middle of this little village.I had a room with a Jacuzzi .Dinner was excellent with an extentive wine list .The museum is definitely worth visiting.I woke up real late for breakfast.Still the manager offered to open the kitchen to prepare a full breakfast. The staff at the front desk and the waitress at the restaurant were really helpful and really nice.I will definitely come back for the next FENAVIN wine fair in CiudadReal
