Excellent hotel in the center of the old town. Great location, though parking was a bit of a challenge. Rooms are nice, though old and not air conditioned (it was the middle of summer). Hotel was fairly noisy, but I think it was just the group that was there when we were. Service was excellent. Recommended.

We booked this at the last minute, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The city is magnificent, and the hotel, nestled within the city walls, is truly beautiful. The reception area is impressive, and the rooms are very nice, exuding a traditional and rustic charm. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. When we had a big puncture in our car, they promptly assisted us in finding a garage to get a new tyre.||We also turned up for breakfast without a reservation, and it was no problem. While breakfast might not be the Ritz, for €6 per person, it is certainly a bargain.||I should have taken pictures before starting to unpack.

We loved it. Charming building, great continental style breakfast, helpfull staff. The hotel is in a historic building, so no A/C but that is the price you pay for leaving buildings as original as possible and not walking around a city cluttered with A/C units on every facade. No WiFi, but who needs it now we have good 4g coverage? Our room was lovely, nicely decorated, 4 poster bed and a sitting area.

It was one of, if not the best hotel room I've ever stayed in. The hotel itself it stunning and the room exceeded my expectations. Very spacious, furniture is tastefully chosen and the bed was very comfortable

Stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to our new life in Spain.||Parking is initially confusing - you can park outside the city walls for €1/day, just got to remember to get a new ticket as traffic enforcement is pretty keenly enforced. We parked up and it was about 5 minutes walk to the hotel.|It’s an old building, our room was massive - but be aware there’s very little soundproofing. Lots of street noise from pedestrians, lots of noise from the adjoining room. Really draughty balcony doors, which I had to cram toilet paper into to stop the wind coming in.||Wifi was bizarre - didn’t work in the room, went down to reception and was told it only worked in the public areas. We got online downstairs, when we were back in the room - wifi worked!||Breakfast was good, lots of choice.

On arrival we were greeted by a really friendly receptionist, showed us how to use all the key codes so we could access our room keys and access the hotel if after 10.30pm. Our room was fine, a bit dated but we were not expecting luxury at that price so it seemed a fair space to lay our head for the night. We had a drink in the bar before we went out to dinner and the bar was lovely. The issue with this hotel is their walls are paper thin which you would not expect in a structure as old as this. I spent the night listening to a man clearing his throat, he might as well had been sat on the chair in our room. Appalling night sleep. Need to think about spacing guests out so they can get a decent night sleep, this is not the only review calling out this issue. Paying guests deserve a good night sleep as a minimum in any hotel. Poor hotel, such a shame. I didn’t go to breakfast as I was too tired, my husband and daughter did and said it was fair and basic

Very practical hotel in a very old location in the heart of Avila old town. ||We received the keys without having to speak to reception via a locker on the front door and room door. ||Setting is very traditional and authentic. Room as comfortable and quirky, excellent value. ||Breakfast room could do with a refurbishment. Food was adequate. ||Would recommend.

We had an excellent, spacious and comfortable room. The bathroom was excellent. ||The room was spotlessly clean.||It was very quiet. It was a weekday when we stayed. We had the window open because of there was no a/c but the only noises were from the birds in the morning. ||Fine breakfast
