Palacio de Sancti Petri, a Gran Meliá - The Leading Hotels of the World

Without doubt this is the most warm, caring and friendly hotel I've been lucky enough to stay in - I felt immediately relaxed and at home. We stayed for three nights at the end of a two week trip - it was meant to be a complete chill out||We had a golf course/sea view (booked very late) but really enjoyed the variety of birdlife and watching the waves. We did have a couple of issues the first night. The air con system was a bit clanky/noisy, plus the duvet too thick. Decided to raise it at reception - full of apologies and there were staff sorting both issues within the hour! Note: they have a lovely lightweight duvet if you sleep hot||We've never opted for a "buffet" dinner but have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed everything and meat and fish freshly cooked to order. The only issue we had was that the dessert area was not as well topped up as every other area - one night it was severely depleted by the time we got there (restaurant still full) . Luckily we'd eaten our fill but it was at odds with the rest of the displays. People were still arriving as we left ...||I arrived not at all well but still thoroughly enjoyed it - now want to return and experience it when - I'm on full form

Beautiful and very professionally run resort and a genuine Spanish/Andalusian upscale experience. Highlights were rooms and pools excellent, very good restaurants and one of the best beaches in the world! For sea swimming, all day long walking on the enormous beach with perfect sand and fantastic lunch and sunset cocktails at the wonderful Chiringuito, it's pretty much unbeatable. Our second stay and we will return again hopefully.

An absolutely 5-star experience at Palacio de Sancti Petri Gran Meliá! The facilities are world-class, the sea views are breathtaking, and the beach is spectacularly clean—truly pristine water. As a musician, finding an environment that truly sparks creativity is rare, but this hotel achieved it effortlessly. The perfect blend of luxury, natural beauty, and tranquility was incredibly inspiring for my new compositions. This resort is ideally located just in front of the "La Barrosa" beach. Although it had an occupation rate close to 90 % during our stay, one did not really feel it at all. The place is always serene and welcoming.|The staff is very, very nice. All our interactions were excellent, and they would go the extra mile. Special mention to the housekeeping who kept the room in pristine condition. This was our first stay, but now I understand why some guests keep coming back for may years. We are ready to start our own tradition and will certainly go back soon.

Lovely resort! Only reason we didn’t give it 5 was that personally for us it was very remote and far from everything we wanted to do. (Cádiz, Jerez, dining out ). We did love the rooftop patio for dinner and the beach bar for lunch and happy hour drinks. Staff were pleasant and wanting to please. We had a beautiful oceanfront suite but unfortunately could only sit out during morning as sun and heat made it unbearable. An umbrella would be a great addition. An excellent resort if you are just wanting to relax poolside or on the beach but not a great choice for people wanting to explore the area.

Lovely hotel, but the food is very poor indeed if you don’t choose to use the speciality restaurants. The food in the Patio was cold every night (buffet restaurant). The chefs cooking the fresh options to order didn’t seem to have a clue what they were doing. Not what you would expect in a five star hotel. ||We were red level and that was nice although the offering was repetitive. ||During the cooler months it would be nice to have some outside heaters to allow guests to enjoy the patio space for longer. ||Entertainment was very poor, particularly non existent.

Amazing stay and amazing/helpful kitchen, restaurant service (e.g. Juan, Juana, Pedro), guest service (eg Carlos), parking service and cleaning staff (e.g. Juana). The food of RedLevel during aperitif time is our favourite as well as the cook Juanma. He makes fantastic tapas. And if you have food allergies it is no problem - just ask and he will prepare a fantastic alternative. Don't change this perfect constellation.

My wife and I had a great stay at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were great and almost all gave out positive vibes. The hotel and grounds are kept in an immaculate condition and are a credit to the management and staff. The hotel location and the area around Cadiz are truly special.
