Palacio del Deán Ortega, Úbeda

Location is the best. We were on a Rick Steves tour of Andalusia and Ubeda was our second stop. Literally a palace converted into a hotel. Location is amazing, as is Ubeda. A somewhat undiscovered town. Amazing history and beautiful surroundings. Hotel had large rooms and baths, many with views of the square. Breakfast was very good. Hotel also offered drinks and dinner if so desired. And has an elevator.

An excellent Parador in a great location & a wonderful town.||Ubeda has some great religious history & they are very proud to show it off. ||A very laid back culture. We were made to feel very welcome.||There were subtle differences in restaurant service, but once we got used to that it was a great experience.

Ubeda is a must see and the parador itself is beautifully and conveniently located and clean with good Wifi. During our revisit to the hotel unfortunately the service let us down in several aspets (bar not open, no English by several (we're no English speakers ourselves), bar not open and not as nicely decorated as in the past). We stayed at two other paradores during this trip and although this was the paradore we'd looked forward to most, it 'ended last'.

A beautiful building with lots of history. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely terrace. The restaurant staff were lovely and we really enjoyed both the breakfasts and dinners we had at the Parador trying some local cuisine which was explained to us by the staff.||A great location in the centre of Úbeda.||Double check how the building renovations are going before booking as they may have an impact.||

Even though the parador is undergoing upgrades, the bedrooms are comfortable and quiet, location is very central and easy to find, and staff helpful. We ate breakfast in the dining room - included in our reservation - and the food is great. Lots of variety, the bread is amazing, and coffee from an espresso machine very good. Coffee here is strong, but bulk and sugar make it great.

Beautiful old building, excellent restaurant with traditional high quality menu. Excellent breakfast buffet also.

Unique hotel in the center of it all- big rooms high ceilings, nice bath, and a delicious breakfast. Snacks and drinks in the large courtyard lobby. Nice staff, and big glorious windows that opened wide....... You will enjoy your stay here.
