Broken shower and breakfast nothing special. The design of the hotel is nice and antique. It's nice the terrace and the decoration. Some friendly staff. We slept very well . Comfortable bed . And it's not noisy!!! That's very important that's why I gave 3 stars and not 2.👍🏼😁

I really liked this hotel. But first the faults- there is never any hot water. There was no natural light in the room.||But... You actually don't need hot water, because the weather is usually hot and humid. And the rooms have a great feel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious. But what you do get is atmosphere. It is a converted mansion. It is gorgeous inside. The main foyer is beautiful. This is where the great house band- Son de Oro- play most nights. The bar is friendly, attracting a happy older crowd of tourists. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great.||One needs to keep in mind this is Cuba. Not everything works like home. But if you have been to Havana you know the pluses always outnumber the minuses! And so it is here. Try it, you will like it.

If you're a seasoned traveller and do not mine the surroundings both inside and out you will be fine here, however I would never stay here again or recommend anyone to stay here either. We had no water for most of the day, and when it was on it was a trickle and we were unable to shower or wash properly. The rooms stunk of sewage, the sheets were washed but were stained with all manner of who knows what and finishing off with the most horrendous slum outside your bedroom window with no glass just a shutter. Music is blaring out until the early hours of the morning. I found this place absolutely awful and i ended up sleeping in the hall way for 4 nights. It not worth the money the breakfast is extremely limited all stale bread and stale pastries. The people were nice but the standard was extremely poor and nor worth the price.

This is a fabulous old palace converted into a hotel. It has so much potential. But sadly it is wasted by the owners who run the place. There was no water for 3 days. |I got stuck in the elevator for a half an hour|Mid floors. I forced the doors open to find |written notes from other guests who have also been trapped in the past. So clearly the Manager did not bother to get the elevator fixed. So it may happen again. |The breakfast choices are awful and except for the eggs totally unhealthy. |The food manager needs to wake up and do his homework about healthy food in 2017. Great location. So much wasted potential. |

There is nothing positive about our stay in this hotel. If I could rate it lower than a 1 star, I would do so. The service was close to hideous, and let’s just say, they are willing to rip you off from the minute you enter their doors, be careful! It’s the closest thing to a hostel, however, you are paying hotel rates! |Breakfast is well below average, the rooms are ordinary and shower... terrible.|Highly recommend spending a little more money to stay at a better hotel as it will change your experience in Havana.||They do not offer free water of any sort to brush your teeth, therefore all water supplied is charged to your room! Any be very careful if you do use the water in the mini bar, they did manage to change us upon check out for water not consumed!||

This converted colonial mansion lives on past glories, with grand public areas. We had a large, windowless room on the third floor, accessed via an ancient lift,. We were told on check-in that there was a temporary cut to the water supply in the neighborhood. We still had no water for showers or toilet flushing when we departed the following morning. The hotel is very well -placed near restaurants and the attractions of old Havana, but the rooms could do with a makeover.

Another government hotel, don't follow the bellboy to a restaurant because it's awful. Went to a casa particular next it which was great at a quarter of the price. Breakfast had very old dry bread and no vegetables. The room we first got had mold in it. It is in a great location which is why it gets two stars.

We did not stay at this hotel but enjoyed a Cuban lunch at Restaurant Don Ricardo located in the courtyard of the hotel. It’s stunning with such rich history. Originally owned by an Irish sugar baron, we traveled back in time with the beautiful architecture and stained glass work from the 17th and 18th centuries. Domestic cervezas complimented this hidden gem. It was quite the treat to stumble upon this location.
