## Review of the Postal Museum in CDMX
I visited the **Postal Museum** in mid-January and was quite disappointed for several reasons. Firstly, I must emphasize that the building itself is beautiful, showcasing the significance of the postal service in Mexico's history. However, the contrast with today’s offerings is extremely disheartening.
Despite its size, there is very little to see inside the museum. The exhibits appear as a mishmash of items with a significant amount of wasted space. During my visit, a market was taking place, featuring vendors selling honey and cocoa. This seemed unrelated to the mission of the postal system and added to the confusion. The bustling crowd made it challenging to appreciate the exhibits, as the noise level prevented a clear understanding of what was meant to be conveyed.
I had come specifically to mail postcards, after hearing this was a great place to do so. I purchased four lovely postcards earlier in my trip and planned to send them from the museum. In the gift shop, I asked for four international stamps, filled out the cards, and posted them in the box right there. Despite the presence of staff supposedly assisting visitors, there seemed to be significant difficulty in processing non-Mexican addresses.
As of **February 19**, I must stress that **none** of the postcards have arrived. This has left me extremely disappointed. I would recommend that visitors avoid this museum if they expect their postcards to reach their destinations. Moreover, I suggest skipping the area entirely, including the National Art Museum across the street. The traffic is overwhelming, crossing the road is very difficult, and the sheer number of people makes it an exhausting experience with little to see.
In comparison to other parts of **Mexico City**, such as **Zócalo**, your time would be much better spent elsewhere.
