"Have one more regal stay at the Palacio Solecio, an 18th-century palace-turned-hotel. The hotel is as glamorous as you'd imagine, with four-poster beds, floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that open to spacious patios, and deep soaking tubs in the bathrooms. The hotel's central location makes for easy access to some of the city's most sought-after sites, including Santiago Church, just a few feet away." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"This 18th-century palace... Now Moorish touches abound, from the patterned headboards in the 68 rooms to the splendid internal courtyard with its porticoed patio, chequered floor, and esparto grass blinds."

Understated chic in the middle of historic Malaga. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in my life and this hotel is now firmly in my top 3. It was just WOW! The room was super comfortable and exceptionally quiet. The front desk made a number of reservations for us and were beyond helpful. If you are looking for tranquility and beautiful interiors this is for you.

Our Deluxe Solecio room was clean and comfortable but felt somewhat business like, and not homely. The room felt a little depressing as a view of a wall from the window! Only 2 small bottles of water provided at night so ended up having to drink the tap water which was a little warm. Think we were spoilt by hotels in Lisbon and Seville prior to our stay here - much more welcoming and friendly. The hotel is in a great position in central Malaga, but would choose somewhere else should we choose to stay in the old town again.

Hotel Review: A Perfect Getaway I recently had the pleasure of staying at Palacio Solecio, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, my husband and I were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their attentiveness and professionalism were truly remarkable, making us feel valued and cared for throughout my visit. The room was absolutely lovely—spacious, beautifully designed, and meticulously clean. It was the perfect sanctuary to relax and unwind. We ate in the restaurant Balausta and simply incredible. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly fantastic stay!

Palacio Solecio is a hotel that goes the mile extra. The maid comes in the room twice a day to make the bed and leave a bottle of water. The pool is small but nice for a quick dip (not heated btw). We had a room close to the restaurant that had a lot of noise (and we sleep early), and we asked for a change which was taken care of!

This hotel is a five star disguised as a four star. It’s beautiful, spotless, and has attentive service. Chic decor, gorgeous rooms. Relatively quiet while being in the bustling center of Malaga. Many different tier rooms at different price points so there is an option for everyone. Special shout out to the concierge, Antonio, who saved the day on the small snafu with our room reservations.

A very elegant boutique hotel in the middle of everything. The staff are all well-trained and communicates well. Breakfast buffet is amazing and delicious. Rooms are elegantly designed. Very instagrammable interiors too. Just across the church where Picasso was baptized.

Luxury hotel in the heart of Malaga that has been renovated to a high standard. An oasis of calm, comfort and class in the Malaga heat. We were allocated a room in the separate building which is a few steps from the main hotel. We had booked a double and were worried it would be small, however there was plenty of space, a large bed and a good sized bathroom with a bath, shower and double basins.|All the staff members we met were polite and helpful, a credit to the hotel. We would stay again.

I'm glad I could use my Hilton points to book this, as it was an expensive weekend due to the public holiday in Spain - so the points were great value. Despite being in the heart of the bustling old town, the room was completely quiet. Although I booked a single room, I had a spacious queen-sized bed, and the room itself was huge. I'm not sure if I was upgraded, but I was happy either way!||Everything was clean and worked perfectly, including the ability to change languages on the TV channels to the original soundtrack - a feature often disabled by hotels when customising their TV software. The quality of everything else in the room was high including the showers and coffee machine.
