Palafito 1326 | Boutique Hotel Chiloé

This place initially seemed like a wonderful boutique hotel, but the stay was ruined by dogs barking outside all night. The house across the street left 3 large dogs in the yard all night who howled and barked at any noise or disturbance, making sleep impossible. I spoke to the staff on duty at night twice about it and they were unable to do anything (they tried contacting the owner of the dogs but had no luck). On my second trip downstairs to speak with staff to desperately try and figure out a way to get some sleep with all the noise, I noticed the upstairs hallway door that leads out to the back stairs and street was ajar, with the key in the lock. This was extremely creepy and when I told staff about it they shrugged and had no explanation. I spent the rest of the night nervously listening to the dogs and for intruders.

Excellent location, great service, and amazing food! Congrats to the chef and all the staff. A location to come back to! Great rooms, comfortable beds, great linen for the cold nights. Very clean and impecable location, great linens and clean rooms.

Cute little palafito on the most artistic side of Castro, with many traditional houses refurbished into cosy hotels. Very comfortable but not particularly large rooms, with small balcony open on the bar. High-level restaurant on the top floor for enjoying the sunset. Very welcoming style of the hosts, who cooked breakfast every morning in the breakfast room as in their own family kitchen. Depending on your travel style, this can feel incredibly heartwarming or a bit chaotic, but family vibes are definitely the most authentic identity of Chiloé. Highly appreciated the recommendation on sightseeing towards the most local spots.

I was lucky enough to have a room overlooking the estuary and spent hours watching the birds and water coming and going. Such a peaceful place to stay. All the hotel staff are friendly and welcoming and breakfasts are generous and tasty. Also recommend the restaurant which has food to match the wonderful views.

We loved this place, the bedrooms were so comfortable and the views are fantastic. There is a great kitchen/seating area that we made use of to have dinner one night and to make cups of tea. The restaurant upstairs is also very good with delicious food, a bit more pricey than eating in town but the food was fantastic and the service was great. Can't say enough about this hotel, the service, rooms, breakfast and location were all superb and you won't be disappointed if you stay here.

I have not stayed in this hotel. But I have interacted with its front desk while having dinner in the beautiful restaurant above.|Despite not being their guest, they helped me solve a problem my hotel had caused me. The staff was remarkablely kind, patient, and extremely helpful. |If I would go to Castro again, I would definitely stay here. The willingness and ability to help that the front desk had is a demonstraion of the excellence of the service they provide.

Thanks to previous reviews here, we had a waterfront room for two nights, and were very happy with a great view. However, the music from the restaurant/bar next door was very loud until late in the evening. The bedroom was spacious and the WiFi was fast in the room. Everything was very clean. There was a common room just outside of ours, but I never saw anyone in it. Staff at reception and in the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful. We definitely enjoyed our dinner at the bistro on the top floor, and drinks were very tasty. They even let us get drinks to take to our room after we had dinner in town one night.

Very nice hotel, with an amazing location allowing to admire wild sea nature while either taking breakfast or having a drink in the « restaurant ». While the hotel does not offer restaurant, they are several options nearby to either have good seafood or Italian style food. The staff is very helpful even if they do not speak English but they will use the technology to be understood.
