We visited the impressive temporary exhibition of Rick Owen’s, as well as the standard exhibition of the museum. The exhibits are extraordinary and seem very valuable. At the same time, there is little to no explanation about the context or the respective designer of the pieces. Unfortunately, the museum fails to convey enough information to be interesting for a new non-technical audience. Also, the tidiness of the restrooms could be improved. For fashion experts however, the museum might be a worthwhile visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Rick Owens’ “Temple of Love” exhibition in Paris is nothing short of transcendent — a dark, poetic vision that fuses architecture, fashion, and emotion into a singular, spiritual experience. Stepping into the space feels like entering another realm — stark, sculptural, and profoundly intimate. The monumental shapes, the haunting lighting, and the ritualistic atmosphere evoke both reverence and rebellion. Every installation feels like a personal confession rendered in marble and fabric — raw yet refined, brutal yet beautiful. Owens manages to channel vulnerability through power, creating a sanctuary where love, mortality, and art collide. It’s not just an exhibition — it’s a pilgrimage into the mind of a modern prophet of design. Paris has seen countless fashion installations, but “Temple of Love” stands apart — a fearless meditation on devotion and identity, and an unforgettable testament to Rick Owens’ uncompromising vision.

The Palais Galliera fashion exhibition was truly impressive and beautifully curated. The presentation was both attractive and inspiring, showcasing fashion in a way that felt thoughtful and engaging. A wonderful experience for anyone interested in style and design.

Google
Beautiful building and garden but the price is too high for the very small gallery they have in the ground floor. The upper floors are not open. In any case it's worth a visit if you are passionate about fashion. It’s very interesting to see what people used to wear.

Google
Paris Fashion Museum. I hadn’t realised the amount of art, technology and craftsmanship that goes into producing a piece of fashion clothing.

Google
Wrong description. It does NOT display three centuries of fashion. At the moment it's a small art gallery with only one exhibition, which was absolutely not to my taste. And it's at the full price of a museum despite having so little stuff that you may be done in 30 mins. Really not worth it for fashion in general. A special interest museum if you're interested in the one exhibit going on now. Personally I wasted money on this one.

This is a must see for fashion fans. The place is not that big. When I went there was a Rick Owens exhibit and a historical exhibit of sports clothing.

Yelp
Came for the Fashion Big Bang exhibit which was showcasing the impact of 1997. Vogue Paris magazine defined the 1997 Spring-Summer haute couture season as the 'Big Bang' that Paris needed in order to regain its place as the international capital of fashion. We saw outrageous, decadent, and mind blowing designs. We saw videos of the Fashion Week runways where Gucci presented the "G" string; Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler & others were coming into their own while the legendary French fashion houses were taken over by a new generation of British designers, with Alexander McQueen at Givenchy and John Galliano at Christian Dior Loved the setup, loved the descriptions, loved the videos. Bravo!

Yelp
I was so excited to get to go to the fashion museum of Paris! They had a special exhibit on display - The Big Bang - about the transformational year that 1997 was for the fashion industry. I didn't know anything about this and as a fashion major, I found this exhibit to be useful, informative, interesting and fun! On the other hand, I was very disappointed to learn that the Gabrielle Chanel exhibit (my fashion icon and the sole purpose for us to visit this museum) was closed for renovations and won't be opened again until June of this year. Such a bummer!! Apparently due to this exhibit being closed, the only one available for viewing was the Big Bang - meaning I spent €15 for entry to one exhibit that took less than one hour to view. I was pretty bummed about this. I'll be back one day for the Chanel exhibit, that's for sure! Though next time, I'll be sure to check that this exhibit is open.

Yelp
I love this little museum! The exhibits are forever changing so check ahead of time on their web site. The exhibit I visited was themed, "Who Wears What?" They had pieces from Marie Antoinette to Napolean and Josephine all the way to pieces worn by Audrey Hepburn as well as more contemporary run-way pieces from Jean-Paul Gauthier. They lose a star for not allowing photographs

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this museum! The exhibits include some of the most incredible articles of fashion/art. Anyone that can appreciate fashion as well as the history of costume should visit this place at least once in their lives.

Yelp
Lovely interior and exterior to this museum. Awesome for people insterested in fashion. I went a couple of years ago for a display of dresses from the 10s and 20s! Cheap and surrounded by other museums as well!

Yelp
The architect of the Galliera Palace was inspired by Italian Renaissance art. Léon Ginain constructed a Neo-Renaissance mansion on the outskirts of Paris at the end of the 19th century for the Duchess of Galliera. She left the palace to the city of Paris in her will. The elegant building was reconstructed recently and is currently the Fashion Museum. Thematic, temporary exhibits show the changes in Parisian fashion from the 1700s until today. The mansion is closed to visitors most of the year.
