Hotel Palazzetto Rosso (Siena, Tuscany) 9 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"If only these red brick walls could talk. Hotel Palazzetto Rosso, located in the heart of Siena’s medieval center, has been hosting travelers since the Middle Ages. Plenty has changed since the inn’s original heyday, when traders from all over the world came to Tuscany on business. But the building itself was constructed according to 13th-century planning regulations, and the original façade, decorated with traditional wrought-iron ensigns and flares, remains the same." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Palazzetto Rosso is right in the center of Siena, just a few minutes away from the Campo and an ideal base to explore Siena. It is housed in an old palace and has several historic artefacts on display on the ground floor with an interesting frescoed ceiling. Our room was quiet and spacious and actually had another big room with seating on a higher level. The bathroom was compact, however did have a big shower cubicle. Daily housekeeping did an excellent job. The staff, especially Ilaria and Claudio, were very welcoming and provided us with lots of useful information about Siena and were engaging in casual conversation making our stay very homely. A minor issue in the room was addressed immediately. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone's taste offering both sweet and savory options, cereals and fruit. The hotel is good value for a short or long stay and we will certainly consider it again when we will return to Siena.

This is a beautiful small hotel with a warm welcome and a historic ambience. Our room (no 1) was spacious and included a mezzanine lounge. The breakfast buffet is delicious and there is complimentary coffee etc during the day and an honesty bar. Exceptionally well located for all the sites of Siena

This is a wonderful hotel in a central location in Siena. It's on a quiet street, so no noise to contend with at night. It is a small boutique hotel in an old and architecturally interesting building. The hotel is loaded with both historical artifacts and new art, making for an interesting combination of old and new. The air conditioning worked well, which is important on those hot days and nights. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and helped with good restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was a buffet of charcuterie, pastries, yogurt and fruit. It was a good start to the day. Be aware that if you have a car, the hotel is in a pedestrian only zone. They can arrange for you to drive up to the hotel to drop off your luggage. They can also arrange for parking (for an extra fee). It is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel, super clean and beautifully located. The staff are perfect in every respect making sure we are comfortable and well looked after. They are courteous, respectful and very smart. Every night, after a day of site-seeing and activities, it was like coming home. We loved every aspect of the old charm of the Palazzetto. The bath/shower was a bit difficult to step into, but after a few sessions, this too became easy . We will come back to this place to stay, when next in Siena. Grazie a tutti.

Kind of want to keep this place a secret so that I can get a room here every time I visit Siena. The hotel staff and the building itself are remarkable. Very helpful and very historic place to stay. The art is fun and interesting and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family who visit. Will definitely be back and won’t visit the city unless they have a room for me at this hotel.

We spent three nights at the hotel in Siena. |The hotel is small with only 9 rooms. |They provide breakfast and made cappuccinos for us each morning. |The location was perfect and we had arranged parking. |The staff were great and very helpful and responsive. |The room was noisy on Saturday night as our room faced the street and you heard the mopeds coming up the hill. The other two nights were much quieter. |The location was perfect, close to all the sights and to the main piazza. |Great restaurants close by. |We enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel. We would stay there again.

Well worth its stars! The building is spectacular and located near everything in the old city, but the staff were just the friendliest and most helpful. They made the stay so memorable and made you feel like family. Everyone, but Federica and especially Ilaria were so helpful and taking care of our every request brilliantly. Not to mention the breakfast spread down in the lobby with literally the best cappuccino in Siena, already miss it. We will be back the next time!
