Friendly and helpful staff. The air conditioning works, although the unit takes a moment to get going. The room with a balcony was clean and well-maintained in its vintage style. Delicious buffet-style breakfasts. The hotel is definitely worth recommending. On the downside, the toilet flush refills slowly, and the shower curtain also leaves much to be desired. Nevertheless, the stay was very enjoyable.

My wife and I have stayed at the Palazzino di Corina on three occasions in the last three years and it has become one of our favourite small hotels. ||It's perfectly situated in, what I guess are a number of converted old town houses, close to the charming harbour, with its fine selection of bars and restaurants, the hotel has an ideal location in Rethymnon!s old town. Although it is largely situated in some relatively quiet streets and alleyways, it is very close to the bustling old town, with its selection of shopping, sightseeing and dining opportunities. It's also just 15 minutes walk from the lovely sandy beaches. ||The interior of the hotel is quirky but very comfortable, with all the rooms different from each other. We've stayed in three different rooms, all of which were spacious, well furnished and very pleasant. Being tucked away in the narrow streets of the old town, don't expect spectacular views, but this doesn't detract from the quality of the stay. ||There's a very picturesque garden area in a courtyard at the centre of the hotel, with seating, sunbeds and a small pool for cooling down in. ||Breakfast was included in our stays which consisted of an excellent selection of hot and cold food. The Hotel also has its own open air restaurant, which is open to the public, which we've used on several occasions and found to be very good.||Combine all of the above with excellent service and friendly staff and it's not hard to see why we love this Hotel so much and would have no hesitation in recommending it. ||

We stayed at the Palazzino di Corina for a week. The hotel is gorgeous, based in an old stone building with a private courtyard. Our room was incredibly comfortable and huge with a seating area and a mezzanine sleeping level. If I was an estate agent, I would use phrases like "old world charm". The situation is brilliant - right on the edge of the Old Town and a short walk to the harbour, the Fortezza and beaches. ||The shared spaces are welcoming and well cared for; the courtyard has a small pool and comfy seating and there are cool (in both senses of the word) indoor spaces. We often ended up coming back to the hotel at lunchtime to cool down and relax. ||The staff are amazing - incredibly hard working and helpful (hello Pano!). ||Rethymno is known as a foodie town but our experience was that the best food in Rethymno was served at the Corina restaurant. The fish dishes and starters were particular highlights.

We have just completed a 14 night stay at this charming hotel. From check in to departure it’s been 100% perfect. All staff were friendly and helpful, the room was beautifully presented in all ways as were the other areas of the hotel. Can highly recommend the restaurant too.|Hopefully we will have an opportunity to visit again in the future.

This was a lovely old hotel but could have been a bit cleaner. Our room was also cold but we turned up the heating and got it sorted. |The owner was very hospitable and allowed us to drink our own wine around the pool area.|Breakfast provided a good variety of local foods. The restaurant also looked good but we didn’t eat there. |The hotel was well situated, close to the harbour and shops and cafes. One night we were woken with noise from the nearby nightclub but it didn’t trouble us much.

We had the most amazing time in Crete and the hotel was perfect for us. It is central in the old town and you can walk to the tourist attractions from here. |The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable on the area and how to visit other areas. |But it was the vintage decor that was so good and relaxing in the courtyard garden with a glass of wine, being unbothered by passing people was what made this place unique. |Breakfast was simple but everything we needed. Cereal, yogurt, fruit was what we liked, but there is some cooked, pastries, toasted bread too. The fresh orange juice was really good. |The room decor was simple and clean and the bathroom was a little dated but in keeping with the vibe of the hotel. We had a balcony overlooking the garden which was so nice to have the doors opened. |I would recommend this hotel for couples that want to relax and visit Crete.

Beautiful old building in a great location, everywhere is accessible, within a 10 minute walk. Our room was air conditioned and come with a mini fridge and big balcony. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. They are in need of a slight freshen up, we had a junior suite which was lovely however the shower head had no way of attaching to anything so you had to just hold it the whole time you are in the shower. Not a big deal but an easy fix for the hotel. There is one giant drawback to this hotel which is sadly out of thier control. Right across the street is a huge nightclub that opens from 12am-6am Wednesday-Sunday. The sound travels through the walls and windows and keeps you awake the entire time. I can't see a fix for this other than the nightclub closing, but it has to be pointed out. It's a real shame as other than that the hotel is lovely. If you're an extremely heavy sleeper, you would be fine. In summary, a lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely location, really annoying nightclub next door.

Pictures better than reality. I cried on our second night. The smell in the room and bed was so bad. Even though they changed sheets, the odour from the bed, mattress and pillows was horrific. I didn’t sleep one night. Bed- Needs to be changed or maybe burnt. The staff is beyond friendly and lovely. It helps. Breakfast small and okey. Restaurant in hotel is lovely. But overall the hotell needs update and renovation and new beds. Location is excellent.
