Palazzo Albricci Peregrini - Como (Como, Lake Como) 40 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It’s no secret that some of the most extravagant hotels in the world line the shores of Lake Como itself, but in the town of Como it’s possible to hide away in a hotel that’s a little less conspicuous. And while the Palazzo Albricci Peregrini is an exceedingly private place, tucked safely away from prying eyes, the experience it offers is no less extraordinary than that of its more ostentatious neighbors." - Tablet Hotels

Our travel advisor recommended this beautiful 15th century palazzo turned small hotel and we’re glad she did. It’s a stylish and elegant property in the historic center of Como. From the moment you are greeted in the small reception area and given a lovely, refreshing ginger infused drink, you feel like a guest in someone’s home. Breakfast is a multi course affair with each course more tempting than the next. For wonderful hospitality and a special setting, this is the perfect base for exploring Lake Como area for a few days.

This boutique hotel with only 10 rooms is a gem, a real a luxury experience in Como. If you want a cookie cutter hotel, this is not for you. Around every turn was a whimsical beautiful surprise. Our room (number 4) was huge, and the decor was breathtaking. Original frescos, claw foot tubs, original oversized window, beautiful tiles, steam shower, and an incredibly comfortable bed. We enjoyed the elaborate breakfast every morning. Come hungry and plan to skip lunch. It was such an indulgence, and treat. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel one evening that was delicious and don't pass on the evening aperitivo. I must mention the staff... they were all, without exception, incredible. I wouldn't change a thing about this hotel. Bravo to them for perfection.

What can I say, this is the best hotel we stay in all of Italy so far. The lady who owned this place have put a lot of effort in making this place a comfort home away from home. Special mention is the chef who managed the breakfast everyday. She made the most delicious pastry and biscuit everyday. Thank you all for making this happen. See you very soon.

Elena and Julie at this hotel were extremely welcoming and helpful. They made the stay extra perfect. The whole place feels like a fairytale location, 14th century, only 10 rooms, very beautiful and boutique feeling. Right in the centre of the old town in Como. Close walk to all shops and the lake. The meals were exceptional, served in seemingly endless stages, both breakfast and dinner. Couldn’t stop taking pictures of all the meal stages. The meals are eaten along a picturesque garden pathway with slow jazz music playing. You have to try the cave bar - tiny, old, curved ceiling spot for two, looking out over the garden. We loved everything about the stay and the people who helped us throughout. Oh, and we ate at a number of places in Como and this was by far the best restaurant we found. Super service, outstanding food, enchanted setting. We stayed 4 nights - wished we could have stayed longer. Can’t wait to go back to this hotel. Superb!!!

Words cannot describe how beautiful and special this place is. It took me a while to book this stay because it is not the standard cookie cutter hotel, and I am here to say I was blown away. The charm scale was next level, the staff truly engaged, the room and the breakfast were spectacular. If I have to find any fault would be with the guests that feel the need to have their dog(s) with them while eating. This hotel has spent a lot of time making breakfast and dinner at true culinary experience accompanied with a thoughtfully arranged ambience (music, flowers, linens, lighting, etc. ) to create a small blissful oasis only to be disturbed by your dog barking or whimpering for table scraps. This dog will be fine in the room for one hour while humans can enjoy the owners hard work and actually experience an almost meditative space that i am sure was not easy to create and maintain. | Thank you for a beautiful experience. I love dogs by the way but I love the few special moments in life more.

We had a great stay in our room, La Scrustada. Large bedroom, 2 full beds which were comfortable (wasn't sure if a king room bed would be big enough). Excellent bathroom, one sink but other stands to place toiletries. AC was fine. Quiet, although, our room was on the courtyard, so you hear the clinking of plates at 0700 as they set up for breakfast. You're up, but breakfast doesn't start til 0800.|Nice breakfast with some interesting choices. |We came on a national holiday and market day, so we couldn't drive to the hotel. We had to park at the municipal parking garage (which you would have to do anyway) and then take our bags to the hotel. Fortunately, it was sunny, because no Uber or taxis were available. After 4 connections and cancellations on Uber/taxi, we decided to walk.|After the parking hassle, we had the hotel arrange for a private driver to take us to the dock at 0915, for our 7 hour private boat tour with Lake Como Water Taxi.|Cristian met us in a BMW 7, and was great. He met us at 1630 when we returned. Highly recommend using him. Boat tour was great as well. No lines to wait on, faster than a ferry.|The room pictures are nice, but the actual room is better than what you see.|Our friends stayed in another room and didn't hear the breakfast set up. They really like their room as well.

High recommend Palozzo Albricci Peregrini. The hotel is privately owned and very cozy. The service is bespoke and also location is amazing, just at the centre of Como town. Very happy that room was ready for us when we arrived in the morning after a long haul flight. We also got an upgrade, which was so amazing. The room is spacious and thoughtfully designed. Despite it being a historic building, nothing feels old, everything is very well maintained, including flushing power of toilet, water pressure. The breakfast was so amazing and it’s probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had, with so many options served to be step by step, instead of a buffet. Everything is so fresh! The staff are all very hospitable, kind and caring. I will definitely come back!

Absolutely beautiful property. Large and spacious room overlooking the garden. Felt very quiet and private. Staff could not have been more welcoming. I was so impressed by the attention to detail (design, decor as well as service). The breakfast was spectacular! The array of food and the fact every morsel was homemade and exquisitely presented... utterly wonderful. I thoroughly loved my stay.
