Interesting museum with a diverse collection. I visited for the Salvador Dalí exhibition, which was well-organized and impressive. Worth a visit if you’re in Modena (:

It's a must-see! Absolutely phenomenal exhibitions: lapidarium, paintings and sculptures! There are escalators too and an automatic coffee machine at the 4th floor (€0,50 espresso). Some paintings and sculptures have accessibility features for the blind. If I had to pick on something, I would point to the lack of audioguide. Anyway, it's bsolutely fantastic.

We went during the June 2 holiday weekend so the entrance was free. Downstairs housing memorial artifacts is open without a ticket and has a snack bar. The fourth floor houses their art collection it's accessible by stairs or a glass lift. It's a simple collection compared to great museums for the size of this palace but has a few masterpieces. An hour is plenty of time to walk through.

Consider about the size of the city, this is a really good museum with different topic, the stuff are warwarm-hearted and professional. If you have interest in art don’t miss this gallery, you can find Bernini and Guercino and some Tintoretto here

The Este gallery is a must see in Modena. So much art that one cannot absorb in only one go. Plus, there is the city museum with more art and archeological pieces.

The city official museum. It is situated in Piazza Agostino, Modena. It is a great place to see since its large area and cultural importance in the city. For whom is interested in culture and history it is a great place to visit absolutely.
