The Museum consists of 6 empty rooms( when there is No Exhibition). The drawings in the ceiling are interessting Greek mythology stories and fine artworks. I would recommend visit it with welcome bologna card, otherwise you don't miss anything if u skip it.

The palazzo itself is magnificent, with beautifully decorated rooms. I went to the Louise Nevelson exhibit and had a guided tour, with Eleonora, who was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. All the staff were welcoming and kind. I highly recommend a visit.

I went to the AI WeiWei exhibition and I love it. I highly recommend watching the documentary at the end of the exhibition 'Never sorry' totally worthy

This palazzo and its gallery on first floor are a real discovery! The building itself is beautiful - there's an art nouveau glass ceiling in the reception area and well perserved wooden ceiling on first floor. But the most amazing part are obviousely the breathtaking frescoes painted by Carracci.

Briliant place for breakfast. Delicious coffee and croissants or sandviches. Definetely a win for me because I had the salami sandwich. The bread was so soft that it just melted in my mouth.

Is a superb example of the decoration in Bologna during the late 16th century and early 17th century. Most frescoes due to the work of Annibale and Ludovico workshop. In late 2020 the tenements of the Griffoni Poliptic were reunited here thanks the efforts of Roversi Monaco of Genius Bononiae with the curatorship of Mauro Natale.

Nice place and interesting collection but overpriced for the amount of art there. The entrance is €8 and I think it should be half that.

Cyndy's Bottom Line: Extraordinary Ai Wei Wei exhibit. Sept 21, 2024 - May 04, 2025 Palazzo Fava is a historic building in Bologna dating back to the Middle Ages. The palace, whose current structure takes shape in the Renaissance, was purchased by the ancient Fava family in 1546 who entrusted the decoration of the main floor to Carracci with the cycles of frescoes of the Stories of Jason and Medea and the Stories of Aeneas. The architecture is grand and in harmony with the magnificent frescoes. Look up to discover all the astonishing froscoes by Carraci. *Highly recommend. *The Ai Wei Wei exhibit was provocative and thought provoking. A must see.
