Palazzo Guardi

⸻ We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and housekeeping was done daily. Breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly. The location is excellent — everything is within walking distance and it’s about 15 minutes from the train station. For a short stay (we stayed 3 nights), it’s a very good option for the price.

We stayed in a Junior Suite for 4 nights. The room was large and spacious with a canal view. Very clean with king sized bed and a good sized ensuite. We loved the charm and appeal of an old building and it is also very secure. The entrance is off a narrow street and reception on the 3rd floor. |The location is really exceptional, basically between Vaporetto (waterbus) stops that go back and forth from San Marco easily and also to the train station. Likewise it is very very close to walk to a lot of the main sites in about 15 minutes. The local restaurants in this area are also a little less pricey. The staff were also so friendly and helpful and this was such a pleasure for our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Guardi. Our room was in the attic in the main building came with a terrace overlooking a beautiful view, which we especially enjoyed in the evenings while relaxing with a glass of wine. The hotel itself is charming, immaculately clean, and full of Venetian character, I absolutely loved it! The staff were all kind and welcoming, with a special thanks to Valentina, who went above and beyond to help us navigate the city, walk us to our room, and explain everything clearly. Her kindness truly made our stay even more memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel. Our stay was Monday, September 1 - Wednesday, September 3 2025. We had a wonderful experience staying at Palazzo Guardi. We stayed in the attic room in the main building which has a terrace, much appreciated to be able to sit out there in the quiet under the shade. The room had good aircon as well as being beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, plus slippers and robes. it was exceptionally clean. As a palazzo dating back to the 15th century any refurbs have to be very specific, hence the lift which is small & slow but does the job so is not a problem. The reception is on the third floor and the stairs are easy to use if you are able & fit. Breakfast was fine for us, plenty of choice - bacon, eggs, croissants, cold, meat, cheese, yogurt etc, and a good range of teas as well as the usual coffee options. The staff were always helpful, especially as I was useless with the keys! Valentina ensured we were comfortable and we will stay again when we return to Venice. 10/10 thank you!

This place is in an older, and slightly cheaper part of town. It's probably a 15-minute Vaporetto (boat) ride from St. Mark's. The older building leaves it with some limitations, but the staff seems caring and really eager to do the best they can with what they have to work with. Better is certainly available, but not at this price. So I'd refer to it as a 'decent' value. A nearby area has an upbeat night life with many late night eating and drinking options. Plenty of closer lunch and gelato options by day. There are also a significant amount of things to see in this part of Venice, it's just separated from the 'strip' if you will. Nice breakfast included. There is an elevator, but it's so small and so slow, that it's mostly used as a dumb waiter for luggage, though a single person could use it if necessary.

Valentina, Lily, Rose, and Otavia were super nice and accommodating, especially while dealing with allergies and food limitations! ||Special design rooms that were very comfortable for family. All of our needs were met at this hotel. The location of this hotel is amazing and allowed us to travel throughout Venice without need of transportation. ||We would definitely to anyone who is coming through Venice!

Unfortunately I am not able to leave a good review for this property. My friend and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in May 19 2025 in the Junior Suite and we payed extra to get the Canal View. We loved the room and the check in service was great but it was upon waking up that we noticed bites all over us and couldn’t figure out why. The second morning we woke up to BED BUGS crawling all over us and our belongings. We took pictures and videos and left the clothes we slept in there. Upon getting home we threw out or thoroughly cleaned everything we had. Including our car. I reached out to the hotel numerous times regarding this incident and they don’t feel it’s necessary to acknowledge this situation.
