What a great hotel! It was recommended to us by a friend who had lived in Florence for a time and we really enjoyed our stay. The suite was so large and comfortable. After a day of sightseeing, it was like coming home. Loved the coffee and tea available all day in the lobby area. Breakfast was a treat in the lovely dining room. The hotel is VERY quiet. If we hadn't seen other people in the dining room for breakfast, we would have thought we were the only people staying there. Well located--this side of the river is convenient to the various attractions and also to many restaurants. We look forward to a return visit.

We ended up here due to strikes and spent 1 night in the Carlotta suite. The receptionist was very friendly and took us up to our room , showing us the 24/7 coffee/tea making facilities on the way. The building had a wonderful feel and was lovely that it had not been spoilt or to modernised. Our suite was large on the second floor. There was a lovely roof terrace that was only accessible up 60 steps. We spent a lovely half an hour up there in the evening chatting to the bar tender- who pointed out the buildings we could see and chatted about life. We were the only ones up there and not sure if the stairs are off putting for some. ||The only reason I cant give a 5 is the sofa in our living space was very hard with a huge piece of wood to keep us sagging into the sofa and the bed wasn’t overly comfortable, and comfort is very important when travelling from home.||We didn’t opt for the breakfast in our room as wanted to head to the airport in case of any issues with re booked flights. I wouldn’t exactly call the Palace a hotel- more serviced apartments as we felt very much on our own. Having said that I would definitely recommend as it gave a very different feel from the usual hotel atmosphere.

We stayed at the Palazzo in April for 5 nights and if we could have extended our trip - we would have. So rarely do you find a "hotel" that makes you feel so comfortable and so at home - even if the surroundings are quite different from your own home. The location is perfect - across the river in the Oltarno area with easy access to restaurants, all the major sites and local experiences as well. From the moment you enter the hotel you are met with excellent personal service as well as the beautiful surroundings. We arranged several tours ahead of time and all preparations were just perfect. And the selections we made for our suite were beautifully done - flowers, the scent in the room, even your choice of a personal soap to use during your stay. The food and the dining room were also perfect - the dining room beautiful and the food delicious and your breakfast selection prepared to order. Do not miss an opportunity to stay here if you are planning a trip to Florence. It is the perfect setting for a stay in a beautiful city.

We felt like royalty in our large lovely suite in the palace. This is a gorgeous property that has retained the feel and architecture of a Renaissance palace -- but with modern amenities. Great breakfast buffet -- and the rooftop terrace commands sweeping views of the city. The staff was friendly, helpful, accommodating and professional. Just lovely.

We loved our stay at this hotel. We stayed here during our visit to Florence for our honeymoon. The hotel is located across the river from the city center; however, it is a quick walk over to all the sites. There are still good places to eat and drink nearby. The rooms are huge. The service here was amazing. Would highly recommend spending every night up on the rooftop. The views are beautiful and they have great bartenders during certain hours that will serve you drinks and food. We had a great experience with the bartender, with great conversations and recommendations. He introduced me to negroni and it was great.

Very accommodating for English speakers, with a great breakfast in the hotel. The rooftop has a beautiful view and is a perfect place for a drink before or after a meal. The staff was very knowledgeable about the best times to see certain attractions in Florence, and helped me get tickets for the Uffizi museum.

Great hotel for families. The rooftop terrace has amazing views. The service is excellent. The location was very convenient. Emmanuel made great drinks and great input about the history and sites to visit. The suite was huge. While some furniture may be dated, we truly enjoyed the spaciousness and comforts of the suite as a family. They offered a cellular device for sightseeing and wifi calling which was very handy. They checked us in early and took time to personally walk us through the suite and made sure we were comfortable. They have a unique touch in their hospitality about soap but I will not give away the surprise. Breakfast was decent but there are plenty of choices in close vicinity as well. Lot of great places to shop and eat. The gelataria near the hotel was very good. We look forward to our visit again.

Hands down an amazing place, it's gorgeous, the rooms are beyond spacious and well appointed. We feel so fortunate that we were able to get a room here. The staff were wonderful, great location. We had a wonderful stay, one of our favorite hotels over many visits to Europe. Will most certainly book here on our next visit to Florence. Don't hesitate to book here, you will be absolutely delighted!

Yelp
16th century palace, that's so ancient!! It amazes me how buildings (and palaces) are built to last. Wonder how many renovations it's gone through century after century. It has a lot of character and charm to it. Most importantly, the showers, bath tub, and sinks work well and were newly renovated, no cracks or stains. Same goes with the bathroom/shower tiles. The bed/pillow/sheets were comfy and clean. The decorations were very detailed and captured that era in history perfectly. The Beatrice suite was very spacious and lovely. Service was friendly and professional. The concierge walked us up to our suite on the 2nd floor. She showed us around and gave us the rundown. Again, very welcoming and professional. The breakfast they provided every morning was perfect. It's a self- serve breakfast bar and hot items upon request. The server was nice and professional, dressed like a butler. Nice retreat from the busy streets of Florence! No complaints here!

Yelp
This is a very nice hotel in a very nice area of Florence. Staff was professional and courteous. We had a suite with a separate living room on the 4th top floor. The room, towels, and linens were very clean. They cleaned the room daily and turned down the bed every evening. The breakfast was very satisfactory since we only wanted fuel. You could have fruit, various juices, and omelettes made to order. As well as coffee drinks. The bonus was the rooftop bar open from 6pm-9pm. We went every evening before dinner to see the sun set on the entire city. My only complaint was - this being an old Palace, was the rooms were dark. Our room was on the street side and even though they had literally double windows and shades, and two layers of curtains. You could here the patrons from the bar down the street every night until 2am like clockwork. We should have changed our room, but I just didn't. I am too light a sleeper. At the entry level, you rang the front desk to enter, and you gave them your key when you left. We felt very safe. The location is on the much quieter side of the river. Walk to the artist makers of the area, shops, Boboli Gardens, Santo Spirito, is Santino wine bar (best in town). There is a gym, and tea, or coffee at anytime at the entrance hall. Overall a very nice experience in Florence.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to spend two nights recently at Palazzo Magnani Feroni. The hotel is housed in an old palace. Keeping that in mind, along with the overall age of the facility, interesting decor, and the dimness of the place, there is a slight creepy feeling; however you tend to get over it rather quickly. The place is definitely unique and a really cool place to stay! This is a suite hotel exclusively. When I say suite, I'm not talking about the run-of-the-mill Embassy Suites or Country Inn rooms. We were in a luxury suite on the first floor, and the place was HUGE! There wasn't a wall separating the sleeping area from the living room, but the place was big enough that you can almost get lost in it. Each room is elegantly appointed. The suite was super clean, and unlike the rest of the hotels we stayed at in Italy, the bathroom was huge! I cannot comment on the quality of beds, since I was assigned the rollaway bed (was actually comfortable), but my sister and mom had no complaints. Wifi is free, and worked great! Breakfast each morning was served in the dining room on the second level (third level for us Americans). The offers were typical of a European continental breakfast - pastries, cereal, cured meats, cheese, fruit and yogurt. For you who need eggs, the hotel does include various egg dishes, cooked to order, if requested. Breakfast was included with the rate, which was a nice bonus, but the overall quality of the food service was great! I cannot say enough about the staff. My mother fell ill with food poisoning, and the concerned staff went out of their way to make sure we were well accommodated for. We were slated for a noon checkout, and the suite was to be occupied by another party after our departure. The staff re-arranged suite assignments so that we could have a late check out so my mom could get some additional rest. I definitely look forward to another stay at Palazzo Magnani Feroni in the future!

Yelp
This hotel is in a perfect location in Florence for touring all the sites. The hotel itself is simply grand. The rooms are amazing. Our room had a great family room and the bathroom was very Americanized which was very nice. When staying at this hotel, you have to go to their rooftop which has a great bar (Server) that you can drink and relax on numerous lounges from 6pm-12am. When drinking on the rooftop, they provide you complimentary food which is also great. The view of Florence from their roof is simply amazing. I think it is one of the highest points in Florence. There is a great beer pub around the corner called Arcadia that you have to check out. We stayed here for only 1 night but wish we stayed longer. Stayed November 2013

Yelp
All the reviews were good but makes me wonder who is actually writing them. I always stay at the very best hotels when traveling. This was a fifteen day trip where we traveled to Italy and Greece. Fortunately we only stayed one night at Palazzo. The pictures were nice and the reviews convinced us that it sounds like a nice place. I will say that it is spacious but it is in need of a lot of renovations and to become modernized with technology. I will certainly not recommend this place

Yelp
We stayed three nights at this hotel. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the service and staff were super helpful and accommodating. We loved the breakfast, and can't say enough about the gorgeous rooftop. 5 stars!

Yelp
TERRIBLE! The room and hotel looks nothing like the pictures. I was so disgusted I couldn't stay a single night of my five night stay. The hotel is refusing to give me my money back and I am currently working with my bank to file it as a fraudulent charge as the hotel won't respond to me. Very disappointing..

Yelp
If a negative star is possible, this will be my first via Yelp. My gfs and I are still creeped out after our three day stay in this hotel/palace, in one of the most beautiful city in Italy. Upon check in, we were given the Francesca suite, located right above the front desk. The room was dark and gloomy. The kitchen connects to the second bedroom in the very back. We just didn't feel right so we requested to change room. We overheard the staff calling us "Prima Donnas" to another staff. Wow! One thing leads to another, we were then charged for the breakfast we thought were included. Mind you, we sat for 7minutes max, grabbed an apple pie and some scrambled eggs. No one told us breakfast was not included in our suite during check-in, but our girlfriend's suite was. Made no sense. Finally, during check-out, the manager, Francesca, didn't even ask how our stay was and if we enjoyed Florence. Needless to say, Magnani Feroni was an interesting part to our Europe trip, but the service from the front desk and management, not so much.

Yelp
This was one of the most fabulous hotels we have ever stayed in! The room was beautiful, the staff attentive and helpful and the rooftop bar and breakfast each morning amazing. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough! It made our 40th anniversary trip to Italy perfect.

Yelp
The staff was lovely and helpful, the environment was comfortable and well-appointed and the location was perfect-- not too loud and not too far away from the sights of the city. Thanks for the great stay!!
