Unfortunately, our experience at Palazzo Marziale was overshadowed by an extremely unpleasant and embarrassing incident that deeply affected the atmosphere of our stay — especially as we were on our honeymoon.||We were treated rudely and ungraciously by the hotel’s owner herself, who approached us in a harsh manner and forced us to leave a common area, claiming it was reserved exclusively for bar service — yet there was no menu available at the location, nor any clear signage indicating such a restriction. At the time, we were simply enjoying a glass of Brunello di Montalcino, purchased during our trip through Tuscany, in a quiet and meaningful moment for us.||To make matters worse, despite the hotel not being pet-friendly, the owner herself would walk around the premises accompanied by a dog — revealing a clear inconsistency between the rules imposed and her own behavior.||This public rejection left us not only uncomfortable but also disappointed by the total lack of hospitality, tact, and coherence expected from a hotel of this category. It was disheartening to see our honeymoon — a special and memorable occasion — so carelessly dismissed.||For these reasons, we cannot recommend this hotel and would not return.
