The location of this hotel is great, very central and at the entrance to the park with access down to the port. It's a busy location during the day with lots to watch but quietens at night when road access is restricted. We had a superior room which was very large with a view to the front. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was also large but would benefit from some attention to fix broken toilet seat fittings, shower head and clean the grubby shower door base. The robes supplied were also quite frayed, but the slippers were great. They offered concierge parking for €23 per day which was excellent service, especially as parking in Sorrento is very expensive. ||If you fancy a limoncello spritz, rather than paying €15 to drink on the terrace, pop across to the Imperial Hotel Tramontano opposite where it costs the same and has a fabulous bar with a view of Mt Vesuvius. ||

The main reason I am giving a 4 star review is the cleanliness of the room. There was no major issues, but the room could benefit from a more meticoulous cleaning. We found a used towel in the room, some drops of liquid on the couch. The floor was also covered with a thin layer of dust. No other complain. The locations is really great and the staff are very nice and helpful. They can arrange for the parking nearby for you.

This review is long overdue … but we had an absolutely wonderful stay at Palazzo Marziale in April 2024.||I had read the reviews here in advance and was fortunate to book two rooms (Passion and Hilarity) well ahead of time for our family of 6 including 4 children. In particular, my wife and teenage daughter were thrilled when we arrived at this charming and beautifully decorated boutique hotel - our first stop in Italy.||The location is ideal, the common areas and both rooms were awesome (the views from our terrace were lovely!), breakfast was delicious, and the service was simply the best we experienced throughout our trip in Italy. ||In particular, the Palazzo Marziale staff went out of their way to ensure that everything went smoothly for our family. They patiently answered all of our questions from multiple emails I sent in advance. They arranged dinner reservations for us each night, booked our tours of Pompeii and the Amalfi coast, and coordinated all our transfers.||Even after we checked out, Simona helped me track down my son’s lost iPhone when he forgot it in the driver’s vehicle en route to the train station. She arranged to have it shipped to us at our hotel a few days later in Florence!||I would give Palazzo Marziale 6 stars if I could. Thank you again Simona, Luigi, and team!

We stopped in Sorrento for a night before transitioning further east to the Amalfi Coast and had a wonderful stay at the Palazzo. The hotel is located at the top of the elevator/stairs from the beach, which was a bit of a level roll from the pier but easy to navigate. There is a charge for the elevator, but with luggage, was worth the couple euro. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and walked us to our room - each room is named rather than numbered. We had a spacious junior suite for 4 people (a king and 2 comfortable twin beds) which looked out towards the Gulf and provided a great vantage for people-watching. Remember to drop the key at the desk when heading out to go about town! Would gladly look to stay at Palazzo Marziale the next time we are in Sorrento, and hopefully for a longer time.||Our hotel charge included a well-stocked breakfast and there also was a welcoming happy hour with a complementary glass of prosecco.||The staff also helped arrange for a car at the market price (140 euro) for an evening transfer from Naples Capodichino (Airport) to the hotel doorstep for one of our travel party arriving later.

Fantastic hotel in an outstanding location in the heart of Sorrento. Steps away from the town elevator to get down to the port/beach clubs. A little pricey but worth the splurge. Breakfast is a self service feast, and their terrace is a great place for Happy Hour or a night cap. Service is outstanding. Recommend staying here. King Beds in Europe, a rarity!

The hotel is a beautiful mansion that has been in the family since the 15th century. You can imagine how the family lived throughout the last 600 years as you explore the place. It is conveniently situated near the town and you can easily access the ferries. The staff was amazingly helpful and the baked goods at breakfast were some of the best I have had in Italy. The only caveat is that our bathroom looked like something from the 80’s. I highly recommend it getting a renovation to add to the experience. I didn’t feel completely comfortable using it, even though it was clean. There is something about the pink color(?) that made it feel so old. Overall a great place to stay if you don’t mind an older room. Thank you!

Loved Palazzo Marziale. It's in a perfect location in the midst of Sorrento. It was easy to get anywhere we wanted, shopping, the street market, the beach, restaurants, and meeting spots for tours. The hotel is immaculate, the decor is fascinating to look at, and the staff are friendly and attentive. They also have the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had in my lifetime of hotel visits. Next time we're in Sorrento, this is where we'll stay!

This hotel is a beautiful palazzo in the centre of Sorrento. It serves great breakfast and the staff are very kind and caring. A lovely boutique hotel experience. It’s a great location if you plan on taking any ferry trips as over the road from the hotel, the marina is a short elevator ride away.|The reception staff recommended great restaurants for dinner.

Yelp
We arrived in Sorrento without a hotel reservation and were fortunate to come upon Hotel Palazzo Marziale as we entered the town. We stopped in and were instantly greeted by Gia. The Hotel was amazingly beautiful. The rooms provided plenty of space to move around in. It was clean and the beds are nice and comfortable. The bathrooms are updated, spotless and they offer guests bath robes. My wife liked that they provide a big bottle of shampoo and conditioner. The Hotel offers a happy hour on the patio from 6 pm -7 pm nightly. We sat out on a 2nd story patio patio watching people coming in from the harbor as we enjoyed our wine and cheese. The rooms for the price, which was just under 100 euro's, is a bargain. What you get at this hotel is 5 star service at a 3 star rate. Sasha and Gia are awesome. They were friendly and treated our party great. I would highly recommend Palazzo Marziale if you are staying in Sorrento.

Yelp
We stayed at Palazzo Marziale in Sorrento for 2 nights after our wedding in Praiano to kick off our honeymoon and could not have been more pleased! The property is beautiful, centrally located and the service was top notch! Rita was extremely helpful in making phone calls to rental car agencies on our behalf after some issues and also helped to arrange a car to bring us to pick-up our vehicle upon check-out. She also gave some great local restaurant recommendations. The breakfast service in the morning was delicious and the rooms are very clean and well decorated. You will not be disappointed!
