I cannot say enough amazing things about Palazzo Marziale. Reception was polite and extremely accommodating. They were available 24 hours for any questions or recommendations. We looked forward to the delicious and ever changing breakfast every morning. Try the lemon breakfast cake you won’t regret it! The rooms were meticulously cleaned every morning and had a turn down service in the evening. It was awesome to come back from dinner late in the evening to find a cookie on our pillow with the weather report for the next day so we could accurately plan our attire and whether or not we would need our umbrella. The entire staff was fabulous. |The hotel was in a great location, not far from where most of the tours met and close to the marina to catch the ferry. The fishing village, the main square and a ton of great restaurants were all within walking distance. The park across the street had a cafe, live music everyday and a beautiful view! It was a fabulous experience and if I ever get back to Sorrento I will stay there again. Loved it!

Amazing hotel! Location was perfect, hotel was pristine and beautifully decorated. All the rooms in the various areas throughout the palace were beautiful and made it that much more special to explore inside the hotel. ||Staff was wonderful communicating before and during our stay and helped with restaurant reservations and general info. I would highly recommend staying here! ||Oh and they served the breakfast and coffee in the cutest china sets in the breakfast room :)

Absolutely fabulous! Beautifully appointed rooms and location is perfect, just across from the pier to catch the ferry to Capri and close proximity to the shops and restaurants. The staff and service was exceptional. We were greeted by Simona upon arrival she went above and beyond to make sure our five day visit was truly memorable.|Our room was gorgeous with a huge bathroom and a lot of space to relax, along with a lovely view out into Francesco square|Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety in an intimate setting.|If you're looking for a truly unique experience you won't be disappointed!

Room was nice and clean, interior was beautiful, people were kind. My mom really liked amenities they offer. Breakfast was not the best I've had in Italy, but still nice enough and they keep it fresh and new all the time. Especially Caprese salad that we had was way better than the one we had in some other restaurant around in Sorrento. Location is the best part. Good to walk around Sorrento inside.

A 5 star experience in Sorrento! This is an amazing place to stay! Right in the heart of town and a wonderful place to home base. The last time we were in Sorrento we stayed on the hill above the city, which provided incredible views but was less convenient in getting to shops and restaurants. Marziale was the perfect combination of quiet seclusion and easy access. I loved the rooms! The hotel has a very Victorian feel and comfortable beds and plenty of space. The bathroom was huge! And I am still thinking about the shower, it was heavenly. The staff was helpful, present and gave us some incredible recommendations for restaurants. We love Sorrento and the relaxed feeling away from the bigger cities, and this was a perfect way to experience the city! Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

We enjoyed our stay in this historical spot in the heart of Sorrento. The hotel was also helpful arranging transportation and tours. Rooms are large, nicely decorated, and spotless. The wooden shutters keep out noise and light. A few negatives. One, the lobby is not heated and essentially open-air at one end. In late March, it makes spending any time in this lovely space unpleasantly cold. Two, the breakfast buffet is a little heavy on sweets and light on savory, and they stop replenishing food well before the end of breakfast hours.Lastly, one day we got takeout sandwiches and brought them back to the hotel. There are several large public drawing rooms in the hotel, and we sat down at a table in one to share our meal and play card games. The front desk clerk rushed in and told us we had to leave and eat in our rooms (!?). Otherwise, he explained, someone would have to clean the space. This is ridiculous. We were a group of four adults with sandwiches, not a passel of teens with pizzas and beers. What is this space for if not guests? Has the hotel forgotten what "hospitality" means?

Firstly the service of the staff is superb especially Cartello, he went above and beyond in assisting my partner who is pregnant. The location is perfect, staff super friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Sorrento 🫶🫶🫶

Unfortunately, our experience at Palazzo Marziale was overshadowed by an extremely unpleasant and embarrassing incident that deeply affected the atmosphere of our stay — especially as we were on our honeymoon.||We were treated rudely and ungraciously by the hotel’s owner herself, who approached us in a harsh manner and forced us to leave a common area, claiming it was reserved exclusively for bar service — yet there was no menu available at the location, nor any clear signage indicating such a restriction. At the time, we were simply enjoying a glass of Brunello di Montalcino, purchased during our trip through Tuscany, in a quiet and meaningful moment for us.||To make matters worse, despite the hotel not being pet-friendly, the owner herself would walk around the premises accompanied by a dog — revealing a clear inconsistency between the rules imposed and her own behavior.||This public rejection left us not only uncomfortable but also disappointed by the total lack of hospitality, tact, and coherence expected from a hotel of this category. It was disheartening to see our honeymoon — a special and memorable occasion — so carelessly dismissed.||For these reasons, we cannot recommend this hotel and would not return.

Yelp
We arrived in Sorrento without a hotel reservation and were fortunate to come upon Hotel Palazzo Marziale as we entered the town. We stopped in and were instantly greeted by Gia. The Hotel was amazingly beautiful. The rooms provided plenty of space to move around in. It was clean and the beds are nice and comfortable. The bathrooms are updated, spotless and they offer guests bath robes. My wife liked that they provide a big bottle of shampoo and conditioner. The Hotel offers a happy hour on the patio from 6 pm -7 pm nightly. We sat out on a 2nd story patio patio watching people coming in from the harbor as we enjoyed our wine and cheese. The rooms for the price, which was just under 100 euro's, is a bargain. What you get at this hotel is 5 star service at a 3 star rate. Sasha and Gia are awesome. They were friendly and treated our party great. I would highly recommend Palazzo Marziale if you are staying in Sorrento.

Yelp
We stayed at Palazzo Marziale in Sorrento for 2 nights after our wedding in Praiano to kick off our honeymoon and could not have been more pleased! The property is beautiful, centrally located and the service was top notch! Rita was extremely helpful in making phone calls to rental car agencies on our behalf after some issues and also helped to arrange a car to bring us to pick-up our vehicle upon check-out. She also gave some great local restaurant recommendations. The breakfast service in the morning was delicious and the rooms are very clean and well decorated. You will not be disappointed!
