Palazzo Montecasino

Was given a non smoking room (booked smoking) , the managers quickly attended to the issue. Upgraded us and gave a free gift to apologize. The staff was very helpful full and made our stay very welcoming. The facilities are top and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Very impressed with this hotel on my first visit. Great attention to detail great pool area great food cleaning was immaculate, and the staff were outstanding in every way they work so hard. I travel very frequently and this is definitely one of the best hotels.|Special mention to John the service guy for his politeness and thoughtfulness. What a caring guy.

I loved everything about this hotel. The room is gorgeous and cozy. The bath is deep. The windows open onto the beautiful gardens. You can hear the birds singing in the morning. The brekkie service was incredible. Staff are helpful and attentive without being intrusive.

This is a fantastic property with a beautiful colonial feel and lovely decor. The service is generally of excellent quality and staff are very friendly and always go the extra mile. The location is also great as irs right next door to Monte Casino which has many bars and restaurants and shops. In summer the pool area is a fabulous place to spend the day and there are also massages available by the pool. Food and drink at the hotel is excellent - and we feel reasonably priced. During our stay we have unfortunately been kept awake on several nights by British airways air crew who have recently started to stay at the hotel and who take over the bar area and party late into the small hours of the morning. The management have been responsive and are trying to address the anti social and rowdy behaviour of British Airways crew members but unfortunately without much success so far. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay this is probably no longer the right hotel for you. After many years of having stayed there we are also now (reluctantly) looking for a new hotel for our trips to Johannesburg where we are not kept awake at night and where the ambiance is not deserter by the BA crew staying there. But definitely worth considering again once there are no longer air crew staying there.

Beautiful well manicured grounds & luxurious hotel, where one can enjoy a relaxing day soaking up the sunshine at the pool. Excellent service, courteous staff,relaxing ambiance. Close enough to the bird park & the Montecasino complex to walk or golf cart available.

The journey time from the international airport is around 30 minutes . The hotel looks very impressive as you approach. Checking in did not take too long . The lobby / check in area is on the second level as are some rooms , thankfully I was on the 5th floor . My room faced one of the roads that surround the hotel , the sound proofing could have been better ! but the room itself was nice , clean well equipped, bed was comfortable, shower was powerful and relaxing, WiFi signal was ok . Plenty of USB sockets. Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Good security throughout the hotel plus you can only access the floor that your keycard is programmed to . I used the bar and the restaurant on level one overlooking the gardens and fish pond . The casino complex is accessible using your keycard and there you will find several excellent restaurants.|The hotel needs some attention to the walls of the corridors leading to and from the room .|Staff were excellent and customer focused.There are malls nearby for shopping.|Good hotel clean , safe and secure!

I have been going to Palazzo since 2013 most probably. At first, it used to my go to spot for business meetings (celebrations and sign offs, especially for new deals) over the years however, it's become one of my most sentimental spots for people I truly value a lot. Recently, I went through to celebrate an associate of mine over her graduation for her Honors in Education. Needless to say, Shadrack did what he always does. The food was spot on and so was his hospitality. Palazzo will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you all for always making it pleasurable.

The check in process was alright. The hotel room was quite good. You can easily move between the hotel and the montecasino. The parking was secure. The food and the spa treatment were great. Would definitely stay there again. My child really loved it.
