Palazzo Salato

Went here for lunch today and really enjoyed it! The food was good, the staff were friendly, and I loved the overall vibe. We started with the artichoke entrée topped with grated cheese and chilli sauce — it was full of umami, slightly tangy, and absolutely delicious. For mains, we tried the spanner crab malfadini and the anchovy spaghetti. Both were very tasty, but I did feel a tad let down by the crab pasta since it barely had any crab meat (there were only tiny specks!), and the pasta in general could have used a touch less oil. Still, overall a great experience and I’d definitely come back!

It has been weeks since we dined at Palazzo Salato, but I still think about the restaurant! We spent our first night in Sydney dining here, and it was such a great introduction to the city. We ordered various dishes from starters to mains, but the Tathra Place half duck and Mafaldine pasta are definitely worth trying ( and so as the starter calamari ) Service was great too, we weren’t sure which wine would pair well with what we ordered, and they had a specialist to advise us on that. Great ambience, not too loud despite how busy the restaurant was—definitely worth visiting.

Such an incredible dinner! The space was beautiful yet homey, the staff were so personable and most of all the food was excellent. We loved everything we ordered but the top 3 dishes of the night were: ⭐️Artichoke alla griglia 🍝Mafaldine with spanner crab 🍎Apple Clafoutis Can’t wait to be back!

I recently visited Palazzo Salalo with my family, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. Initially, I had heard some negative feedback regarding Asian customers, but my experience here completely changed my perspective. The service was outstanding. The staff member who attended to us was incredibly professional — she cleaned our table and cleared our plates promptly, and always made sure we had water and wine at the right moments. She also gave fantastic recommendations on portion sizes, which was much appreciated. I'm sorry I didn't catch her name, but she was wearing a black shirt. The food was exceptional. The M9+ Steak was cooked to perfection and had the perfect balance of flavor. The Spanner Crab Pasta and Black Truffle Pasta exceeded all of my expectations — they were absolutely delicious! For the quality of the food and service, the overall price is quite fair, especially in the CBD area. All in all, this is a fantastic place with great food and service. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Fantastic atmosphere with a great vibe and an impressive wine display. The gnocchi were excellent, and we also ordered a variety of seafood starters that were absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding — a true 5-star experience. Chris gave us plenty of thoughtful recommendations and was incredibly attentive throughout the evening.

The food was absolutely amazing! Our entire group loved every single dish. All the pastas were packed with flavor, the tripe was incredibly tender with a bit of kick to it, and every other entrée was truly chef’s kiss. Recommend booking a table because it was quite a busy venue.

Highlight of the spanner crab malfadene is delicious, if you are pasta lover won’t be disappointed, Raggazi belongs to same Love Tilly group which is better for pastas. Except pasta nothing special, duck is not tender or juicy. Dessert tastes like purchase from woollies or Coles market.

Been wanting to try this trattoria for a while and certainly worth the wait! Gorgeous interior (sadly forgot to take pics of the dining space). Service was impeccable from the floor staff, efficient and attentive. The food? Fantastic Roman cuisine that is authentic as it gets…this is from my Italian friend that was dining with us! Wine venue is of course mainly Italian varietals and quite extensive. Will definitely be back!!!
